Should I Do On Site Optimization For A Website That Will Get A New Design
Hi, It depends on the platform or Content Management System (CMS) you're using. If you're simply applying a new theme or template to a site, like in Wordpress or Magento, then the URL Structure and content should still stay the same. If you're completely redesigning the site, i.e. clearing the server and starting over from scratch, then I wouldn't optimize the pages if they'll be deleted. If you'll let me know what platform or CMS you're using I'd be glad to help more. Thanks, Anthony

How to Make My Membership Pages More SEO Friendly
If the member pages are being indexed, YES. At the risk of stating the obvious, you need to focus on your on a page optimization. In order to do that you need to get back to the basics. What are the keywords that you need to focus on and that are important for your website. Whatever those words are, you will need to make sure that your "member pages" are rich in those keywords. When google makes a determination of the relevance and quality of your website, related to the search terms, the better job you do on on page optimization, the higher your relevancy and quality score will be from google. As an example: one of your keywords might be trade shows and meetings. So on each of the member pages it would-be important to mention the keywords trade shows and meetings that your members support at the convention visitors bureau. Or if you are providing them standard outlines of members pages, you could provide several different standard version layouts that mention your primary keywords in different ways. This portion of on page optimization, depending on the number of members, could make a large impact on your seo results. Hope this helps.

Conversion Software
Yes, you can track revenue to a specific keyword using Google Analytics. The most thorough way to do this is to implement e-commerce tracking. Google's documentation for this process is here: http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/gaTrackingEcommerce.html#Guidelines That allows you to record both the transaction totals and the specific items included in the order. If that's more info than you need, you can use event tracking to dynamically set a goal value. To do that, you would just add this line of code on your checkout confirmation page: _gaq.push([``'_trackEvent'``, 'Cart'``, 'Checkout'``, 'Success'``, 40]); Just dynamically insert the cart value (as an integer) where 40 is in the code and that will record a new event in Google Analytics that includes the value of the order. Then, within Google Analytics, set up goal tracking based on the occurrence of an event (Cart Checkout Success). When you configure the goal, make sure you select "Use the actual Event Value" for the "Goal Value" option.

Is Buying Domains Good For SEO? Can I 301 redirect domains to an Original website?
What if there isn't any content on the redirected domain? Would there be any reason to, or reason not to, forward a blank domain that is only relevant because of that actual domain name? Still using shoes: I have 2 domains, SHOES.COM and DESIGNER.COM. Shoes.com is where I sell shoes. Designer.com is the name of the shoe designer. There isn't any content on Designer.com, but it's the name of my shoe designer...so it's relevant to shoes.com. Should I forward the domain to Shoes.com? How many times is it OK to do this before taking an SEO hit?

Company Looking For A LinkBuilder
I agree! Also, if you are competing for keywords that have a lot of competition, you better have a large budget. As EGOL said in a response a while back, sometimes it's not about SEO, but about resources.

Why does Tripadvisor rank higher than my official hotel website?
If you search for royal kona resort It comes up. that is because it is optimized for the term. For a start look at the titles and and domain names it is obviouce that one is going rank higher then the other

Why does Tripadvisor rank higher than official hotel website?
Assuming each site is different, I'd say that Trip Advisor has more mentions of the hotel name and 'relevant content' than your own website. It's a PITA but I've seen this happen. In some ways, I suppose it's a good thing. If of course you have good review on TA. In my experience, where I've seen this before (twice) the original hotel site eventually outranks TA. I'd suggest you dont lose any real sleep over it. If TA reviews are good and your website has plenty of relevant content, you'll get there and visitors to both sites wont care much anyway
