Ive been slowly building links to some of my inner pages. Ive finally reached page 1 for a specific keyword search. Should I continue building links to this page so I dont lose position? I have a campaign setup through seomoz to keep track.

was VERY surprising to me to say the least, to rank on page 1 and beat out a HUGE HUGE competitor.

It does, but they have a TON of links, Stronger authority than me, could it be the copy?

Ive noticed that on some terms I am ranking above my competitors who are much larger, older, and have many more links. How is this possible?

Typically how long does it take for these links to show up in Opensite Explorer? I sumbitted these approx 3-4 weeks, OSE has just updated, and I still cannot see in my link profile? Has anyone else experienced this?

Approx 150, when I use the SEO  page optimizer, it gives me an A Total 22 and that seems to be the only issue. It is a big ecommerce site, & at the bottom of the pages I have "HOT EVENTS" that follow through the site, just to help with navigation near the footer. Do you think this is a bad idea? Its been this way for a few months now and rankings are pretty good, I just want to be safe.

Can my rankings suffer if some of my inner pages have too many links/anchor text? Or would link juice just stop being passed after X amount of links? I have content on these inner pages, and it all flows.

So when building links, I should not worry about backlinks to inner pages, and try to concentrate on building to my category & homepage?

Also Is it typical for a homepage to have the majority of links? Or should it be spread as evenly as possible?

We've registered our domain with register.com they will not all us to buy .ca unless we reside in canada, same fro uk.  Has anyone run into this problem? I wouldnt want someone to snatch it up and use it to their advantage.

Sorry to bug you again, Is there a specific reason that you use naked urls is it just to avoid getting hit by google? If so using naked urls in press releases would not serve any seo purpose at all? Only using the traffic the PR generates itself to direct your traffic?

Thank you, Ive been doing my best to diversify my backlinks, possibly looking at an seo firm to help out, workload is just too much, between articles, blogs, custom content social, backlinksyou need a small army.

If i use naked urls that way in all of my Press Releases, how will that help? Will it just help avoid the penguin update?

Ok Got it, typically the main PR site will show for a few hours then disappear, They really stick when higer Page Rank site pick it up, but it is all the same content.

What is the benefit of using naked urls? I have a paid account that Ive been using broad anchor text with, and a pre PR site that will only allow naked urls, that actually ranks pretty good in Bing, but not in Google.

Do you have a good site/source that I could use as a guideline while building my link profile?

They PR service recommended approx 1 link per 100 words to keep safe, Maybe we can slow down with the releases and do them only 1-2 times per week now.  The industry we are in shows, dates, games are always being announced.

Can they hurt our organic position as we have been pushing them out mulitple times weekly. Can you show me an example of how you would setup the urls or branded terms?

Would it be alright no use Broad anchor text in the PR's?  Since using the service ive seen a very good boost in site traffic.

I know this has been answered in the past but we have been doing press releases multiple times per week, and have been getting Great referrals, at the same time our link count is climbing. Can this have a negative effect on the overall site? Should we be doing these less often?

Hi All,

I check webmaster multiple times on a daily basis, and I noticed some links that I have not worked on and look a bit spammy, is it possible for people to purposely pont bad links in my direction? If that is the case is there a way for me to remove them myself?

Also the number of total backlinks are very different in Webmaster and my Open Site Explorer, is this normal?
