Should each new blog post be added to Sitemap.xml
Hey Threebiz, Introduction: Having a sitemap (XML) is good for diagnostics and helping searching engines - to discover your content. It's something you should consider adding to your Google Webmasters Tools area as well. It will give you stats about pages it finds, and the index count, any errors, etc. On point: You shouldn't do this "addition" manually. For example, if you install one of the popular XML sitemap plugins for your WordPress (assumption made) installation - it will auto-create an entry for each new blog post - into the XML sitemap file in the root of your server. One more thing: If you have a highly trusted website - and a good organization of your links/navigation, etc - and that all pages are reachable by a link - a sitemap XML is just a bonus. Some will not even worry about it, just FYI. Hope that helps! - Cheers, Jon P.S. On a related topic - some will go out and use a service like pingler.com to have your new blog "be discovered". It's something you might do on a brand new website, but not after that. No spamming!

Issue: Duplicate page title
Yes it is duplicate content, and 2 urls that get to the same page is duplicate content, even upper and lowercase letters. Depending one what server you have, you can force https on the pages you want encrypted. If you have a windows IIS server, it’s a simple checkbox on the SSL page of the IIS control panel. Just browse to the folder you want and select SSL then check the checkbox, If you have another type of server then you will have to have a look for yourself, but I am pretty sure it will be simular. Another way around it is to use a canonical tag.

I have 2 websites with the same content
Hi threebiz, First, welcome to the community! Look forward to seeing you around in the future Since there is a small loss of "link juice" when you apply a 301 redirect, you should pay attention to which domain you choose to redirect and which you keep as the primary domain. Your choice may be influenced by suitability for branding, but if there is no real branding advantage in using one or the other, then I would make sure that I redirect the site with the lesser Domain Authority to the one with the greater. You can use Open Site Explorer to check Domain Authority (DA) for both domains. You can learn more about DA under Metrics, Link Counts and Data Points. If for example, you have Site A with a DA of 30 and Site B with a DA of 20, then I would redirect Site B to Site A, since this allows you to maintain the full domain strength of the site with the greater prospect of ranking. Hope that helps, Sha
