Yes our URL stays the same, so it is dynamically served content.  The problem is the content that is displayed on mobile is purely a listing of our product catalog.  The on-page seo content that would display on Desktop is removed on mobile.  Since MFI wants to index our mobile version, is it better to try and update our mobile content to match desktop content, or to remove the mobile content altogether and have the Desktop version display on phones until our new site is launched?

Definitely. Studies show a strong correlation between facebook activity and web traffic. Any time you can get positive exposure for a website, it's a good thing. A facebook page offers an opportunity for others to learn about the business. That page is their personal PR zone. You want to take every chance you can to educate visitors about your business. You can only do a limited amount with a facebook page, so get them over to your website where you have complete control over the environment, offer better details and earn sales.

Wow, I've been working with Miva's Design Club, going back and forth on how to fix this, for over a month. I should have asked the question here. I can finally get down to fixing this issue. Thank you! jr

Mod rewrite .. DEF..... I am not Familiar with miva but i am guessing they have a good support from the looks of it http://extranet.mivamerchant.com/forums/forum.php I would definitely try their support if you havent. But you should definitely have an option ......

I have a spreadsheet where I keep track of half a dozen metrics, and I just add an entry for a date and list the things that I've done. Also like James, I use the annotations in Google Analytics, and that can really help. Be sure to record any outside influences to the site to help keep track of things. Did the site get a mention in a print publication? Record that, so it can help explain an increase in branded search traffic and/or direct traffic. Did you start or stop a PPC campaign? Send out a press release? etc.
