Andrew is right: Yoast uses different code for breadcrumbs. I would start searching inside the theme-files for: "void(null);" or "void(" or "ilny-breadcrumbs" That should give you a clue to where the code actually is inside your theme. Greetings Stacey, If your site is built on WordPress, you can use the Yoast SEO plugin and set categories to "noindex". You can find this in the menu for "Titles &Metas" and then "Taxonomies" in the Yoast plugin. I did that recently for tags, categories and archives within a client's blog to remove duplicate content notices in my Moz reports. That being said, it MAY have some impact on your position in the SERPs. I hope that helps. Best Regards, Mark

You do have an empty meta description tag in the header of each page: But it is followed by a meta description tag with content. Perhaps the crawler is getting caught up on the first one and reporting that?

Hi Stacey, I have a lot of Wordpress Sites and there is not "the one solution" 4all, but in general I use categories (dont matter how many for a post, it wont exist more than one time). I use Tags, but with the YOAST Plugin I make them noindex, and (because it wouldn't be usefull for noindex pages) they aren't in a sitemap. Just kick them out of a sitemap wouldn't bring that much affect, when the post links to the tags. There are possibilities to use both and don't change anything. Depends on how many posts you have per tag, if you display 100% of the post in a tag or only a few sentences, maybe a complete other description. Thatswhy there is no "one solution 4 all" but that one is a good solution in many (i guess most) cases. Hope that helps

Hi Stacey, I am not sure if you already have your answer. If not here I go. For the local you can claim management on the account which would need to be re-verified. This would let you get in there at least an potentially clean up anything that needs it. You would not loose your reviews. Based on your description of old SEO errors I can imagine it may be link based errors which could have developed a algorithmic penalty which in that case a new domain, in the in term only, may be useful. If you are sure it is not algorithmic though I would think that perhaps re-evaluating the on-page and content would be the next step. Hope this helps if you haven't gotten help already

Hi Stacey, I am not sure there is _one top provider _in this industry. As some have different methods for acquiring rewards and giving out the rewards. It may be the question of what works better for your customers. Has Tom says, PRNewswire serves also Italian Publications: check this link. Said that, Italian sites similar to it there aren't. Better said: there are tons of PR News portals, but their quality is very low and almost all of them have their PageRank discounted for been considered manipulative... hence, not really the best.

I would add, to say between a memcache plugin and an .htaccess solution you are comparing apples to oranges.... Total Cache utilizes memory to cache (so even the cache can be slowed by the system) But with Supercache it is a static copy served using .htaccess So saying one is better than the other in a blanket response is kind of dead wrong --- They both do different things in different ways for different reasons/end solutions. Also, I had never used Smush, but it increased my load time and dropped my score with both Google and Pingdom, but I could have done something wrong

Hi Stacey What plugins do you have running - any caching plugins such the W3 Total Cache plugin? Are you able to access your servers error logs to see if you can see anything there?

Hi, we're running some tests where we have a user search the primary (brand) term, and then have them go back and search for a positive term (brand name + product name) or something like that.  In small tests, we've seen this have a positive impact on 'related searches'.  However, we are just now rolling this out on larger test cases, so the jury is still out on how much it'll work.  I suspect it is a combination of this plus some of the tactics used to manipulate Autocomplete that'll do the trick.  Let me know if you have any luck or want to brainstorm!

Thanks Marcus. It is wordpress I am using and already have the Yoast WP plugin. I'll try nondexing the author and date taxonomies too. I have done so with the tags but they still show up on the SEOmoz report. Good idea about varying the categories - will give that a go and see if anything changes
