How to rewrite/redirect a folder name with .htaccess
You might possibly have to detail the white-space explicitly with \s RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^old\sfoldr/(.*) /newfolder/$1 [R=301,NC,L]

Very odd behavior. Google is changing “%20” to “+” in my URLS
Hmm interesting, now that you mention it. This issue isn't happening for me in Safari, IE or Firefox but it is happening in Chrome. I have not, I don't do much with .htacccess and when I've tried it hasn't worked hah. Not sure how I would go about doing that.

What happens if I 301 Redirect my homepage to a different page on site
why wouldn't you put in root and why no subdomain? We aren't planning on doing a subdomain. We're planning on using two different domains with Multistore

I've got quite a few "Duplicate Page Title" Errors in my Crawl Diagnostics for my Wordpress Blog
Hi there, if you have setup the canonicalization correctly, you do not need to worry about the duplicate page title errors. However, please make sure that all the pages on your website have unique page titles and descriptions except for those you have canonicalization in place. Best regards, Devanur Rafi.

Getting odd results with MOZbar. (Some pages are 0,0,0)
Hi DA are always on the domain's or website's profile thats why you find DA is high on news website. The other things like PA are given on the Page's profile so new page dont have PA on the spot, it takes time. Also the whole mozbar updates on monthly basis. Here is the schedule of Linkscape Update Schedule so if the page or post is new then PA will update when the mozbar updates. I hope i answered your question. If need any help please let me know.

Keyword targeting & differentiation between similar keywords
Are you clearing your catch before checking you rankings? Are you logged onto your google account? I like to check my keywords in a browser that I usually dont use, I make sure to be logged off of any Google account and I clear all my browser data. This way I allways get the accurate SERP. If this is not the case then you are experiencing "the google dance" which is vary rare. I would guess the browser has stored data showing you personalized results.

Can pages compete with each other? Inbound links & domain authority, How to determine problem areas?
Amy - a few ideas here: you might be dealing with what's called 'keyword cannibalization' here. It helps to have a clear plan of what keywords you'll be focused on for every page on your site. It's tempting to stick a bunch of keywords on every page and into your meta tags for every page - but sometimes less is more. Just focus on the 2 to 3 keyword phrases that most accurately describe any page. Make sure those keywords show up in some form in the title and H1 tags on the page. After you do all of that optimization, I also like to run a tool like the Screaming Frog Seo Spider, to see if there are any pages across the site that have exactly the same or very similar title tags. If you have more than a few pages, it can happen very easily so it makes sense to go back and double check that later. You can sometimes discover two or more pages on your site that actually have very similar content. In a case like that, pick the better one, add any relevant content and 301 redirect the old page. in terms of linking, you can go a long with just by doing good internal linking. Try to make the links to your pages match the target keywords as much as possible. For inbound links, a large portion of your links will naturally be brand links to your homepage. Focus as much as possible on 'good' links, from vendor partners, industry associations, and trusted blogs. There are lots of strategies for getting these kinds of links. They require some effort / outreach - but will serve you much better in the long run than a few hundred irrelevant forum links or directory submissions. After that, make sure you've signed up for Google Webmaster Tools, submitted a sitemap, and make sure you don't have any issues with slow site loading or canonicalization (where the same page is referenced with slightly different URLs). Hope that helps - without looking at the site too closely, that's the best advice I can give.

Is it possible to use the RankTracker to track specific location rankings?
Jim At this point the only way to use Rank Tracker for geo specific areas is only possible in terms of using the search term and appending the city/locale. Typically, I track for general term: Consumer Banks / Consumer Banks New Orleans, etc. At least this way I feel I have some level of understanding of the searches around the local vs. overall. I have found (and we use a lot of geo specific terms) that by continuing to track for them over time, we are able to take actions that improve outcomes for our clients. So, for your store, use the local city/area added to the keywords and track it over time to gather quality data. BTW - your use of the term Global makes me want to say that Local in the keyword tool is US. (If you knew that, I was trying to help). I hope this helps.

How accurate is the MozBar "Followed Link Highlighter"
If it link is a direct link to your site (view source and make sure its ), then only the top 3 points are taken into consideration if its nofollow or not. MozBar takes all 3 into consideration (tested it on a site I have noindex in robots.txt on, assuming it checks for the meta tag and definitely checks for nofollow attribute).

"Too many on-page links" warning on all of my Wordpress pages
This does not really matter as much as it used to. I would not worry about having 120 links as long as they are there to help the user rather then manipulate the search engine. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/smarter-internal-linking-whiteboard-friday

External Linking & Your sites Link juice
Common perception is that "nofollow" links still deplete your link juice, but the other site does not benefit. That being said, there is no correlated data saying that linking to high quality sites will hinder your rankings (if done in moderation, and properly). In fact, the correlation is very minutely in the positive. So, if you think something is good enough to send your customers to, just let the link go free. My only suggestion would be to control your anchor text, and make sure it's not something you would wank to rank for. Ultra safe scenario would be to link with their brand name.
