RE: Do I need to do on-page SEO for my mobile site?
you mobile site resides on mobile.dudamobile.com/site/...... So if any one searches on a mobile site google will try and serve mobile optimised pages . Even if your desktop site ranks for your chosen keywords ( the mobile site might not , especially if they have no tile and meta description like you said )
Google will be focusing a lot more on that in the future : http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/changes-in-rankings-of-smartphone_11.html

RE: Canonical needed after no index
Hey Alan
I tried looking for that but returned empty handed. Any chance you can post a link to that if you come across that video again. Much appreciated

RE: Canonical needed after no index
the meta tag of follow will not pass any link juice!!! It is only an instruction for bots to crawl the pages from the links on the page.
Please see the answer below

RE: Dealing with closely related pages
You could move them all to one page and add some text content around them.

RE: Do I need to do on-page SEO for my mobile site?
Short answer is you should optimise the mobile site too.
would depend a lot on how its all setup. Can you provide some more info on them ?

RE: Does anyone know why Moz.com appears to have a PR of 2 now?
Usually it takes a while for the PR update to propagate through.

RE: Schema.org tricking and duplicate content across domains
You can always report them : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?hl=en
I guess you already know what the right answer is. play nice and hope that these guys sooner or later will be dealt with.

RE: Duplicate Pages software
It probably wont be illegal to use it but Google sure wont like it.
I would advise you to start by reading about Googles Quality Guidelines http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35769

RE: Does image domain name matter when using a CDN?
It might be an ugly url but the content is still on your domain. In the question above it's about the image on their domain vs on the CDN's domain.
PS: didn't mean to hijack this question, I am also very interested to know the answer for the same question

RE: Website.com/blog/post vs website.com/post
It would have a slight impact , but I assume its going to be very minimal as long as the overall length of the url is reasonable.
If you are setting up new one I would say go for the ones without blogs, as long as yo plan to deliver site content through wordpress. If you plan to use wordpress only as a blog for the site then throw it in a blog sub-folder.

RE: Are there discrepancies between GWT and SEOMoz?
The scope of data Google has ( i would not expect them to show all that to user through GWT ) and OSE has are not the same so there will be some discrepancies, here and there .

RE: Why is my office page not being indexed?
-
It is indexed : https://www.google.com/search?q=http://www.sandersonweatherall.co.uk/office-to-let-leeds/
-
Yes that is good way to go about it . You can also jump in to Google Webmasters tools and try to fetch the page as Google : that way you can see if that page can be crawled
update : You seem to have
www.sandersonweatherall.co.uk/office-to-let/Leeds/ and
www.sandersonweatherall.co.uk/office-to-let-leeds/
and you could type in nay thing at the end of http://www.sandersonweatherall.co.uk/office-to-let/ and the site throws out a page
http://www.sandersonweatherall.co.uk/office-to-let/fghfghfghfgh/ ( i did not add a live link as i did not want that page to show up in the SERP )
not a good sign mate .

RE: SEO for Wordpress
Yoast is pretty good but the last update seems to have stuffed up some sitemaps and stripping out the categories from url seems to create some issues as well. ( there could be an update soon that fixes those ) So just be careful of those thing when you have a 3rd party plugin to handle your onpage SEO .

RE: How to tell how often Google crawls someone else's site
To get a rough idea , check the cache date in SERPS for a couple of days ad see how often that changes.

RE: Canonical Help?
I am assuming you have some content on http://crosstrainingandfitness.com/online-workout-blog/ and the continuation of that on http://crosstrainingandfitness.com/online-workout-blog/page/2/
In this case I would go with rel=”next” and rel=”prev”
Read this for more info : http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/pagination-with-relnext-and-relprev.html
So basically you would have
this in the head of page http://crosstrainingandfitness.com/online-workout-blog/
http://crosstrainingandfitness.com/online-workout-blog/page/2/" />
and in the head of http://crosstrainingandfitness.com/online-workout-blog/page/2/ you would add
Assuming you have no page 3

RE: Why google does not show my site on my branding keyword?
Your site is not de listed : try goggling for
site:lankahq.net
but there could be a manual penalty on there for any number of reasons. It might be in your best interest to hire a pro who can go through the site and identify it .

RE: Google ranks better apps over articles
when the search is for something like "app name" then the app shows up which is what search visitors would expect . But if you cater for reviews , video review , etc you can rank for those

RE: Link Building for Landing Page
It would depend a lot on the niche .. if its uber tough then have a mix of hard and relatively easy ones . If the nich is not that hard to crack go after the hard ones from the get go.
