Hi Dino. You can look at the code of each page that would be affected by the plugin selection of "noindex" and check for the same "noindex" in the meta entry there on the public facing page. That will give you the absolute answer as that is what the search engines will be checking for when they crawl the site. See: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93710 and the following:

Hmm... Maybe try deleting it from the Google side here: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions from your old account, then log out and back in to Moz while only signed in to the new account.

Ya. My guess is old data. I'd just make sure to delete the old sitemaps from GWT, and double check to see that the new ones are all that's in there. You can also run the Fetch and Render tool to spot check some of the primary new pages.  At least all is well in the results... Cheers!

If you made a domain change that could be an even bigger part of it and if so, you'll want to use the Change of Address tool in GWT to help clear that up. Also, did you use 301 redirects to point the old URLs to the new?

My guess is that you did all the steps though and didn't have a domain name change since actual rankings are increasing and you haven't experienced a loss in organic traffic. It's likely old data in GWT.  You might try looking at dates solely from after the relaunch to make sure you're just tracking those new pages.

One last thought is that you can try pinging the new site with a tool like 247pinger.com or bulkping.com. What kind of timeline are you talking about here?

I watched the screen cast, but is the site available further on in the drop down once you connect up the new account?  When I populate with my GA account that has several client accounts the tool gives me a list of all the various account names. I also have a big "disconnect" button that you might not be seeing in Chrome or Safari... (I'm using Firefox). Can screen cast it later if need be.  Cheers!

I think these changes have the backing of tons of user data--way beyond what we would have access to individually--and a lot of sites are completely in the dark still about mobile usability.  Like the majority of sites on the web are happy with the status quo as long as it's working for them.

People do however look at search traffic, income, etc. When they see a sudden drop in that, they'll come around asking why. In the long view many more sites will become much more user friendly after this change.

Hi Sindicic. This sounds like a good way to go about your redesign as you'll want to redirect the pages that you're deleting anyways to prevent them from generating 404s. If the content of your homepage is covering the previously deleted content then that sounds like the best match as well.

In terms of PA this change won't bring about a dramatic shift, but should be positive for the homepage. It's important to remember though that, "Page Authority is difficult to influence directly. It is made up of an aggregate of metrics (MozRank, MozTrust, link profile, and more) that each have an impact on this score. The best way to influence this metric is to improve your overall SEO." I would choose #1, because the most important part of the title (that it's a pet store) should come before Boston, MA. Additionally, the most common word ordering for most people in terms of local is the address format: Thing, Area, City, State.

Typically for a learning center evironemnt a combination of the two can be really helpful, i.e. the video combined with the article. Here at Moz they use a transcription of their Whiteboard Fridays in order to generate searchable text in relation to the content of the video. This does two things:

1. You get a page with more content than just the video.
2. The text of the video becomes searchable not just for Google, but on site users.

To get to other videos you can link to related ones with thumbnails within relevant articles, you can organize them into a playlists, really lots of options here... There are several learning centers / training video sites out there where you can get ideas of what will work best for you.  Cheers!

Recently a vulnerability was found in the Yoast plugin (see: http://thehackernews.com/2015/03/wordpress-seo-by-yoast-plugin.html ), so you'll certainly want to upgrade that and preferably set your updates to automatic.

You should probably look into using a CDN to accelerate the image loading along with taking on the recommendations from Google's Page Speed testing tool.  See: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.silverandpewtergifts.com%2F&tab=mobile  Both are in the red currently which tends to affect rankings.  Cheers!

You might be able to get at this with wild card searches. For example, if you add ***** in the key place of the question, "How do I * a car?" Google Suggest will give some of the most common questions asked in this format. So if your focus is narrow enough this should work. If you're looking for really broad things you might want to run a search like: zoo site:answers.yahoo.com. That way you'll see several formats of questions around the given topic.  Cheers!

Another consideration: if someone links to a responsive site--whether it was from mobile or non--the link would remain the same. That should help as well. That way there's less need to prompt users to "Switch to Desktop" or vice versa.

It sounds like the account was created using Facebook as a match and you'll need to make sure that the Google Business listing you have matches that one exactly in the attributes listed above.

Yup. And the title of that page is that it's unusual activity from your network, and Moz isn't your network, so that one is easy to eliminate.  It's likely some other trigger as I and others mention.
