Are we no longer able to run an on-page report and export from the page grade tool (outside of existing campaigns or for pages that aren't ranking)? I ran a manual a page grade report and I don't see the option! AH help!

I appreciate the detailed response! I'm very familiar with all of the strategies you outlined above , but my question was meant to focus solely on the on-page optimization aspect of the site. We haven't started work yet, but besides the obvious meta title/meta desc. h1, image alt etc. are there things we can do to this visual-based site and pages?

We just signed a new client whose site is really lacking in terms of content. Our plan is to add content to the site in order to achieve some solid on-page optimization. Unfortunately the site design makes adding content very difficult! Does anyone see where we may be going wrong? Is added content really the only way to go? http://empathicrecovery.com/

I know if you have a campaign that is automatically pulls on-page grade reports for ranking keywords you can have a custom logo show up..but is there a way to do this when I run a report directly through the tools->on page grader for a page that isn't ranking in my campaign?

Since Google is tailoring search results to user IP and location, is it still best practice to optimize your site titles etc. with long-tail geographic keywords? For example, instead of optimizing a page for "dentist in West Palm Beach, Florida", search users who are IN West Palm Beach can just search "dentists" and a list of local dentists will be displayed (both in the local listings AND organic search listings).  I'd love to see Rand cover this on a Whiteboard Friday!

Isn't it essentially the same thing as using the "find keywords" aspect of SEOMOZ?

Any help on this would be MUCH appreciated.

One of my sites, aironeairsolutionsinc.com, has recently been rebuilt and the pages tweaked for some basic optimization. Based on my experience, those tweaks (geared toward keywords with relatively low competition locally) usually bump my local sites up into the top 20 or 30 at worst.

3 weeks later, it seems my site is still not indexing with Google. In addition, I AM NOTICING THAT THE ON PAGE REPORTS IN SEO MOZ ARE NOT REGISTERING THAT ANY PAGES ARE BEING CRAWLED.

Again, any help from Moz staff would be awesome! :}

My current method is creating a post/page for each city a client wishes to rank for with unique content. Is this really the best way? Is it best practice? If not. What is?

For instance "west palm beach obgyn" is one of our keywords. The rank report shows us not in top 50 or in local. However, if you search that keyword you will find our site on page 1

Anyone else noticing the rank reporting seems to be off? My reports are showing "not in top 50" for some keywords that my site is on page one for. Not in places listings either because I know that can throw things off! Anyone?

It seems to me that Google would see all of that duplicate content and simply have 1 page ranking as the canonical page. If they are seeing organic traffic and rankings for multiple pages, I am not sure how long that will last. From what I understand, it would be best to start the slow process of making the content on each page somewhat unique.

I would be VERYYYY careful with this. Focus on putting your keywords in your content in a way that makes sense to the reader. Stuffing footers with your keywords is a definite NO NO!

Yeah, I hear ya, but I would still lean towards focusing on attaining the one good link over trying to boost the 10 decent links by performing tier 2 linking. Way too much work involved in trying to manipulate the authority of 10 other websites!

I would spend your time finding quality links instead of having to boost the source of your links!

Ah yes, I thought you meant you were going to disregard the actual H1, if you are hiding text, certainly not a good idea!
