Meta-description not used at all times
To expand on what Ryan was saying, your query was for "bangerhead" & your meta descriptions states: So in this case, since your query was not in your meta description, Google typically will pull a snippet containing that keyword: **Bangerhead **Professional Fresh Me Up! (200ml) · **Bangerhead **Professional Fresh Me... Moroccanoil Treatment (50 ml) · RefectoCil Frans- & Ögonbrynsfärg.

Weird indexing problem - Can it be solved?
Hi there, This is definitely a crazy problem! It looks like you've done what you should, but Google's ignoring you. Here's a theory, though: I don't think that Google loves the idea of there being no "home" page; it probably only expects domain.com/home or domain.com/default.asp or domain.com/index.html as alternatives to domain.com, so seeing http://weekend.visitsweden.com/ redirect to http://weekend.visitsweden.com/no/ could be confusing it. Is there a reason why you don't want http://weekend.visitsweden.com/ to be the homepage? Kristina

WHOIS-info a ranking factor?
I don't believe there is any ranking benefit at all. The only benefits are as stated above the ability to corroborate spam signals and or verify ownership info. As a general rule I would make sure that all info anywhere on the web regarding you has consistency and an established NAP (Name,Address, Phone) format. My grandfather told me to always where a belt and suspenders if you want to be prepared for anything. And I apply that to my views on consistency.

Duplicate content in Magento
Hi guys Great suggestions and great comments. Think I got the most sorted out now. BUT, got one major issue left: As you can see here: http://www.citcop.se/varmepumpar-luft-luft the links to the actual product is not the same as the canonical URL for it? Now the links on this page are like: http://www.citcop.se/varmepumpar-luft-luft/panasonic-nordic-ce9nke-5-0kw When they really should be(this is also the canonical url): http://www.citcop.se/panasonic-nordic-ce9nke-5-0kw I have setup magento to use a flat catalog structure but seems like the links in menus etc are still pointing to a URL using the complete path with category and all. Any ideas how to get all links to a product to be the same? Thanks F

Future of SERP tracking
Also from Rand "I can say that SEOmoz's plans for the long term do not include removing rankings data. We will be running a survey next week to gauge the relative importance of this data to our community, and then considering this over the next few weeks, at which point, I'll likely have more info to share." Retargeting in Scandinavia
Hi Fredrik! We have re-targeting running for several of our clients through partners. My best experiences is Webtraffic, specially for swedish market due to Webtraffic beeing a Schipste company, they only display their own banners on their own sites and as they own about 94% of the traffic (Aftonbladet, TV4, Blocket, Tv-nu etc etc) you get very nice CTR and CR values from them. Specific Media is also a player that we have had very good results from and they are better if you are shooting at entire Scandinavian market as Schipsted is week in Finland.

Backlinks from SEOMOZ
I'd avoid trying to score links on profiles (including on seomoz) just for the sake of it. What I would absolutely take is if Rand or any of the writers were to mention any of my sites in passing while discussing a related topic or making a recommendation on something that isn't necessarily SEO. They do that all the time, and it's the type of links Google loves. They also often praise sites which are doing content marketing well, like OKCupid for example or those which have a great design or other features.

Weird backlinks
Yeah, this is a huge problem that Google needs to deal with. If it's a directory network, then can you find the owner of it and take action to get them to remove your link from there? Honestly, even if you have to pay them to do it, it will be worth it in the long run because you will be ranking again. I wouldn't be surprised if these links, if they appeared all of a sudden, have tripped the Penguin algorithm filter. Good luck.

Danger of over optimizing
Any tools that are worth their weight in gold will be those that typically balance out the elements of optimising a page and reflect this in the grade it offers. Such as SEOmoz for example, their tools aren't going to advise to optimise everything as much as possible to the extent it is over-done, if this looks the case, then the grade is highly unlikely to be an A. I think the term over-optimisation is largely misperceived. Delivering a well structured, compliant and semantically coded, unique website which provides original content, caters for its intended audience and takes into consideration usability measured via onsite behavior is naturally going to perform well anyhow. There are hundreds of factors granted, but generally only need to be addressed once (such as templating, internal linkage structure, URL formatting and content hierarchy) (with the website elements that is) - after this, as long as content is researched, offers value and is what people want to see, then the grade of any given page will be pretty good whilst not 'over-optimised'. Any cheap and basic web based tool that basically just gives a grade based on title, metadata, keyword frequency, blog, social profiles is close to useless (take Hubspots free website grader for example) anyhow and wouldn't contain a formula to distinguish between whether (for example) a page has more than 500 words on a page or whether the same keyword appears 450 times within that same 500 words. If you can rely on any set of tools online that are in touch with the latest algorithm updates from Google then SEOmoz is the safest bet.

Urgent input needed on huge drop in Google
Not sure why it gets downloaded. Should be a perfectly normal .txt file. I doubled checked in Google Webmaster tool and from the it says the robots.txt file can be read. Any idea how to remove the download?

Particular page fails to rank well
Yes, its google.dk that we are targeting. Links always helps and for sure we are working on that. Its just that this particular page is ranking so far beyond the others are they don't really have more links pointing to them.

Renaming of pages
Thanks for the good tips. Think I done em all except the trailing slash. Will look at that. If you look at this page http://www.meresverige.dk/rejser/malmoe, it should do a 301 redirect to the new one. Does the redirect look ok to you? F

Pagerank and 301s
We have now added the preferred domain in Google. I was a bit suspecting this but not sure. When I did a site:meresverige.dk i only get results with www.meresverige.dk so I thought Google had figured it out. I will wait for a week or two more and see how it goes. As for the redirects of the /malmoe to /malmo without the www i agree this is weird. It does not show in OSE at all. But when I use firebug I can see it redirects as it should. Have you seen this before? Thanks again
