LinkedIn & B2B Marketing/Brand Authority: How Useful Is It?
It would depend on the type of business you offer and how much you use LinkedIn - same as any other Social Media platform I guess. We have used it and seen some good traffic come through to our website, hard to tell how much business it has given us directly but we use it to interact with other businesses and have had some good feedback from it. Joining 'Groups' and sharing content to them has proven to be quite successful but be specific with the groups that you join as the content you are sharing will have to be relevant. Best thing to do in your situation would be to trial it for a couple of months to get a feel for what your target audience would be from LinkedIn and how relevant they would be to the business. Try communicating with the audience in different ways throughout the trial, maybe do some split testing to see what gets the best response. Be active and share relevant and useful information

Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title & Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once
On question 1, I'm surprised it's that specific that you can't include a space. I'm inclined to think Google knows the difference, but there isn't much out there. I did find this, but it's not definitive: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/registered-trademarks-and-other-symbols-in-the-title-tag/20463/. I may just try testing the impact of a mark (TM or R) next to the keyword. That would be useful to know. On question 2, I did a little more research and found this question answered quite nicely a couple years ago by Moz member Edward R. Jenkins: http://moz.com/community/q/maximum-length-of-the-url-for-seo-75-115

Benefit of Targeting Low/No Volume Keyword Phrases
Lots of people say that you should target low competition keywords because the competition there is less. In a general way that is true. However, I have found that it is a mistake to fear your competition and instead of targeting third- and fourth-class keywords go ahead and attack volume. Why? Because where there is volume there is usually a lot of search and where there is a lot of search there is usually money to be made.... and if you attack with unique content you will automatically get your site in position for a lot of low-volume long-tail keywords that are easy to rank for. So in my opinion, it is a mistake to target something that nobody is searching for... I mean that is a fantastic way to waste a lot of time.
