Best Way To Estimate Size Of Customer Base?
Tough question, but each category usually has a niche data provider for a field. ie a Data company that is a specialists in shopping centre traffic for Landlords. Am based in Australia, and for a generalist our clients use a http://www.experian.com.au/ That said there is likely a niche data analyst type company particular to your area. Hope that assists.

Tweeting affiliate links...?
When I go into Twitter I dont go there to look for something specifically normally however anything I see that catches my eye I might click on and as I dont follow huge amounts of people I keep my feed more filtered to what im interested in. I'm not surprised Tweets dont convert so well from this person as thinking as a normal person I would be more likely to click on someone doing a review. Could she or someone she works with do a review on your products and tweet that. Maybe that will give a bit more authority and more chance to convert.

Checkout abandonment fix w/ Shopify?
Hello PedroandJobu, I'm glad you found the answer useful. Here is a bit more explanation based on your questions... 1. I don't have a preference for follow-up email software other than to try and use the email marketing solution you already use (e.g. Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Bronto...). Here is a comparison of a few of them, though it is a little dated: http://www.comparethebrands.com/compare/97. I think most email platforms can do this these days. There are even plugins for popular eCommerce platforms like Magento (example here see the first screenshot on that page). 2. You would join an ad network that offers re-targeting and put the tracking pixel on the page. Here are a few posts to help you get started: Retargeting: What is it and how to use it by Joanna Lord Comparing the Top 4 Regargeting Companies by Joanna Lord How Retargeting Works on AdRoll Ten Retargeting Tips by Ben Plomion 3. Sticker shock is when people add a bunch of products to their cart and don't see the total price, including shipping, until checkout. Because they typically don't think the order is going to cost that much the shock of the total cost causes them to rethink the purchase and abandon the cart. Avoid this by offering a running total (when possible include shipping) that they can see on every page.

Is checkout page setup (in regards to abandonment) this sensitive?!?!
Small changes **CAN **have a big affect on e-commerce checkout, but in your case, I'd suspect one of two possibiliteis: 1. Your customers are using the Google Checkout option, which isn't showing up in your analytics. If you log into your google wallet dashboard, do you see any completed transactions? If so, then you just need to make sure your clickstream analytics package is configured on your google checkout pages. Are you using Google Analytics or another package? Assuming you have Google Analytics with E-Commerce tracking enabled, you need to make sure that google analytics is enabled; so whichever javascript method you're using (ga.js, ga.js Asynchronous Tracking, urchin.js, or the brand new analytics.js) needs to be added to your google checkout pages, per these instructions: https://developers.google.com/checkout/developer/checkout_analytics_integration#Overview 2. You have a flaw in your Google Checkout implementation that is keeping people from checking out. Ask some friends or family (who aren't too familiar with your webdite) to buy something and checkout. Get someone to try using the Google Checkout option, and another person to bypass the Google Checkout and use your legacy payment path. Are both test users able to checkout? Do your analytics see both success checkouts? It is possible that your analytics are working perfectly, that you Google Checkout is functioning fine, and that just the extra "cognitive load" of having two payment options is enough to drive abandonment, but I doubt it. You could use Google Analytics (or another A/B testing tool) to run a marketing experiment with and without google checkout to confirm that the new option is your problem. Good luck, -Jason "Retailgeek" Goldberg

On Page URL's not updating?
PedroandJobu Ain't you the wild thing! First, in On Page reports, you are not seeing one of your new urls? Do you have that new url or the 301'd old one in On Page with a keyword? Go to your Campaign, 4th menu item is On Page - click it. At the top left of the report in blue links will be Summary and Report Card. Click on Report Card. Plug in the info here and get a report and it will likely show on next campaign. Now, go to your navigation bar and type in the precise url of the old site that is resolving to the new missing report page: does the new page show when you hit enter or something else? This is just a quick and dirty way to see if a redirect is redirecting where you want it. Hope this helps and tell Jobu I have set aside some Jack Daniels Black and a candle in the hallway. Robert

Removing a lot of content & changing url structure.
you could 301 everything to the closest similar product page/url instead of 404ing if these are entry pages that were ranking and getting traffic in search. by 404'ing them you'll lose those rankings, 301ing them will keep that ranking position but show the new URL in it's place.it all depend on if they were getting landing page traffic or not. also if any links are pointing to those pages and if they have any PR i would 301 them all instead of throwing the page juice away. what could you be forgetting? update sitemap.xml files and take the old ones off of the server and resubmit in Google internal linking is all updated, sometimes people have blogs pointing to old URLs, if you're 404'ing then you need to update them, if you're 301'ing they can be left the way they are if it will be time consuming make sure your robots.txt is updated, and people a lot of times put their sitemap.xml paths in the robots.txt so that would need to be updated run a broken link checker on the site once done

Am I spreading my content & site thin?
Thanks for the answer. There are a few categories in particular, which only a small percentage of my main readers like. The ones who do, probably love the videos. But they are hands down the least popular categories in my video section.

Not provided EXPLOSION!!!!
Ok then your best bet would be to review analytics for the landing pages with the highest traffic to give you a clue on the keywords. You should also check the bounce rates. If they are very high like 80 or 90%, it could be some sort of automated/bot traffic someone is sending to your site.

Should I Remove This Subdirectory From Google?
Upon further review, it looks like I'm getting about 150-200 search visits to the articles within that subd a week...I'm gonna keep it up. It's easy enough to figure out which posts are getting the most search traffic, but it is going to be crazy removing only the ones which do not get that traffic... If I see a huge panda like drop off in search traffic, then I'll pull the trigger. Until then, we will stick with it. Thanks for the advice.

Backlinks... If you can beat them & join them?!
I agree with Ryan. Those spammy links will cost you time and money - and it is a gamble that they will work long term. Invest that money in a quality attack that will benefit you long term and beyond.

Tips For Writing A Mission Statement?
It's great to be at the beginning with a blank slate! Here are a few ideas for you: Use the mission statement to explain in broad terms what need you are going to fill. Don't be too specific - your strategy may change. If you don't think that you could show someone the same mission statement in 10 years and still be relevant to your company, you're too specific. Think big. You should be able to hand your mission statement to someone who has never heard of your company and he should be able to see what type of company you plan to be and why you want to be in business.

SEOMOZ .org?
I agree. I've been around less than a month watching webinars/seminars and I already feel like my mind is in a much better place for IM/SEO. @Rand The free first month definitely hooked me in.

How should I handle these links?
Thanks for the advice. Site A is my personal blog, which I never monetized. Site B is an ecommerce site which sells products pretty much anyone who reads my blog can use. I'm considered an authority in my niche, so announcing the acquisition will absolutely drive sales on site B. And letting people know about site A on site B, will definitely boost the credibility of Site B's brand.

Embracing Piracy...
Alan, I think you misunderstand the situation, they don't seem to be stealing content, but actual products. You could try the approach you suggested, but be ready to be 'ripped apart' by a mostly malicious community on this kind of pages. They usually do not take lightly to outsiders. If you want to stop piracy, I assume contacting the admins for removal and filing DMCA claims would be the way to go.
