This is completely dependent on if Google or other search engines have crawled your website and noticed the changes yet. It takes time and it can be a bit of a wait. I would pay attention to Search Console to see if Google noticed the changes in Structured Data Markup. But yeah, it's a waiting game, be patient and keep checking back! You're doing yourself a favor just by having it on the page.

You may also want to look into Google+ Business pages, verifying that page, and linking it to your website.

From there, you can see snippets appear in your SERPs. I would also look into Moz Local to help you get on listings that assist in these reviews.

I misread your question - I see you followed the 10x better aspect, but I am still confused as to the 5 to 10k words per blog post. Are you saying that more words equal better content? That's not necessarily true - if something can be said in 300 words, say it in 300. If something needs 1,000, say it in 1,000.

There's no ideal length to content so long as it is written in a natural and organic fashion, not stuffing keywords and queries into the mix for the sake of doing so. Don't over optimize and write for the user - search engines can tell if you are trying to over optimize.

That actually sounds backwards - Schema usually helps increase rankings.

I would run your pages through the Google Testing Tool and make sure everything is implemented correctly. I would also make sure that you didn't inadvertently delete content or something that your pages need.

How long after you implemented the Schema did rankings drop? Is the drop limited to the pages with Schema or the entire site?

Sounds like you're off to a great start! I would say that Google will crawl these eventually and notice the changes, but again, that's on Google's time, not yours - you've done what you've can! I would also make sure you take advantage of Schema markup that search engines have made available. They pull this information for the Knowledge Graph and snippets, so I would leverage it where you can!

One thing I will note, you could try to click the "Feedback" button at the bottom of the business snippet. Once doing that, you'll notice you're able to edit the snippet. You can click the pencil next to the image in question, and where it says "Optional" add the URL to the image you wish to add to the snippet. I also put my email in there so they know I'm a real person. I've actually seen this method be quite effective.

According to this resource you can have multiple sitemaps set up for specific folders and it won't confuse the search engines, so long as they are properly linked to from the main sitemap.

If you don't want to include different sitemaps for different subfolders, you don't have to. Just make sure URLs are probably listed in the main XML sitemap and it is properly uploaded to Google and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Thanks for the information - does any old company profiles still exist? If so, can you gain access to those profiles to shut them down, update, or delete them?

What could be happening is that those profile URLs could be redirecting and somehow signaling that that company name is still associated.

Or, there may be some tagging in your code on your site that is referencing the old company and somehow translating to the Knowledge Graph.

Lastly, I would check your local SEO and citations to see if listings still have references to that URL and company. You can let these services know "Hey, this is ______ now and not _____ company." You can run your business through the Moz Local Check Listing and see what they find too.

Ideally, if you have different regions, you should have different areas of your site dedicated to that region. I would focus on the following items:
Use hreflang for language and regional URLs (Google)
International SEO (Moz)
International SEO Checklist (Moz)
How to Tell Bing Your Website's Country and Language (Bing)

Do not merge and 301 redirect, that is a bad user experience, especially if you have local listing links.

Also, set up individual Webmaster Tools for each section and look to Country Target those sections.

Honestly, I would get rid of them if they are blatantly doorway pages. The point of a doorway page is to show crawlers one thing and then a user another thing that are unrelated. Unless those pages are useful, ranking for relevant terms, and can be redirected to a relevant page (at which point they aren't doorway pages), then I would do that.

I would make sure what you have are doorway pages, and if they are, just lose them and build equity in pages that should be ranking for those queries.

When it comes to your site architecture - I would make sure that's top notch regardless of upcoming algorithms. Never build a site in fear of updates, always build it for the best possible user experience and make sure that it's living up to their expectations. Make users happy, and the search engines will reward you.

You can also look into services such as Visual Website Optimizer, Optimizely, and also Hotjar. All offer great tools and features that can get you up and running fast. Also, they all offer good resources and ideas to help you think of different tests to try.

You will want to add canonical tags to the indexing site to the site you want indexed. Is there a particular reason you have two sites?

You are right to assume that hyphens come across spammy in your top level domain. If it were me, I would pick a domain name that is going to branded and easy to remember. The issue I am having is your brand name sounds like exact match anchor text, meaning I would search "manhattan office space" or "metro manhattan office space" in search without even knowing your company is called that.

So, whatever branded domain you choose is going to see a bit spammy, but I as long as your local SEO and citations are consistent with the brand and NAP information, you should be okay as crawlers will recognize this as your business name.

I would also make sure that you take the time to go through this web site migration guide and a backlink audit to either remove toxic links or update the ones you wish to keep.

You will still need to differentiate the content on the website based on the location and language you are trying to capture, regardless if it's on the same site or not. If you sort the site, even then you will still need to categorize content. For example:

www.example.com
www.example.com/uk/
www.example.com/fr/
www.example.com/es/
www.example.com/ru/
etc.

or

es.example.com
fr.example.com
ru.example.com
etc.

That being said, look into the information that I sent prior as this will help you structure your site and tell search engines where section targets what audience - UK english and US english are still two different languages in crawlers eyes as they are two different regions with two different audiences.

There really is no right or wrong answer to this but the real question you should be asking is the following: are the links that are pointing to your website from another site relevant and helpful to those who see it?

Having a bunch of links from a site isn't necessary if it's not relevant to your site, or if they are just strewn about in random categories. I will take one really good link over 100 redundant links any day.

So just make sure whatever links you are getting are actually beneficial and useful to those seeing it. If it's not relevant or helpful, or just a bunch of links, then chances are they aren't worth having.

At the moment, I don't think this is possible. You could, however, look into image markup and use "description" or "name" attributes to say this is a (surgery or procedure) before photo or an after photo. I have never used this tactic before, but it's something to consider. I would also take a look into health/medical types as there may be items there that can assist.

I would take a look Moz's Web Site Migration Guide - Tips For SEOs. It has a ton of great information and tips.

I would also recommend taking a look at your citations & business listings to update your links and URL listings. I would also do a backlink audit to update any links you want to hold on to and remove any links that are no longer relevant or spammy.

Also, do a run through of your content and take advantage of updating, consolidating, or removing content where needed.
