We have been using a wide variety but I think the main problem has been using to many of the same keyword. I need to mix it up with a wider selection 2 to 3 keywords plus the site name also linking in.

Article links and guest blog posts are also tactics we are now using.

I bold keywords as a way of emphasizing particular words or indicators. If I am trying to provide some detailed instructions or help and advice I will bold a section so the reader knows this is a very important part of the process.

Everyone has different perceptions on the use of bold in text but if it actually helps the reader then it will also help the SEO part.

I agree obvious bolding of text is so old skool and so obvious at times.

Be authentic .

The best piece of advice I would give with a blog is dont sit back and hope it happens and generates traffic. Be proactive and make it happen.

Create lists of people that would be interested in the particular postings and form relationships with people.

Once you have a good stock of contacts you can move on to other contacts via RSS subscription, social sites (facebook fan pages etc)

We have also been experiencing some changes in rankings recently and are changing tactics on our link building tactics.

What CMS is the site using rich snippets ? I am thinking along the lines of finding a plugin or contribution that will bring rich snippets setup 100% correctly.

Perhaps it is implemented incorrectly. Maybe drop the URL on here and I can take a look.

Sorry Ryan but I disagree with your reply. The site is ranking highly for Music T Shirts and was 2nd page for T Shirts for months.

something has happened recently but I hear what your saying regarding the site being stuffed with links.

I am worried the site might have been penalized in some way.

For T shirts this site is no 1 - http://www.streetshirts.co.uk/

It was 2nd page for the keyword "T shirts" but it has now totally disappeared. Its really strange ?

Asking the client if they have been adjusting pages but never had this happen before.

My client site http://www.tshirtsubway.com has a ABC quick find selector on the homepage of the site and throughout the site and as a result is is showing an error of to many links on the SEO moz error crawls reports.

I wanted some advice on improving this and perhaps looking for an alternative also looking at the current setup and asking is this wrong.

If you are keen on looking for advertising accounts for your site I would recommend doing some google searches "keyword" advertising or "keyword" sponsors

I personally feel using the same text as the body would be lazy. It doesn't take long to come up with some unique content for descriptions and I feel it would be a nice move.

I have noticed a lot of companies including Telephone numbers within descriptions but have not tested this yet so that might be a nice idea for you.

I think if you have a page of content for arguments sake on bannanas and you add three to four relevant videos on bannans its got to help for sure in making the page more relevant.

It will help with Bounce rates also so help towards algo factors.

I was able to single handed start my business in my back bedroom with a dell PC and £400 in a business bank account. I took my company site to the Top 5 for Internet marketing in the UK in competition with companies with thousands of investment.

I think you have to look at the positives a single guy or smaller team has over a larger organisation. You can act right away without waiting for a boards decision or internal decisions on budgets.

In the longterm you will learn that as EGOL mentioned you need to start building a team where people can cover different skills.

No one person can cover all areas or has expertise in all.

I have had exactly the same problem with a clients site just one particular word totally going off the rankings ? I am going to check the client hasn't been changing any of the page titles.

In my experience I have been pleasently surprised by the performance of sub domains. I have a blog sub domain that has the same page rank 4 as the main site.

So performed really well.

I have a similar issue with a clients site - http://www.tshirtsubway.com it was 2nd page for the keyword t shirts.

Then it totally disappeared just for this one keyword. All the other ranking are fine its just this one keyword that has totally vanished.

Contacted Google abut it via webmaster tools but not sure whats happening here.

Maybe to many in coming links under that word ?

Yeah egol but this isn't a case of shuffling a few pages. This is going from page 2 for 3 months to totally disappear ing for one keyword. never had this before.

One of our clients sites rankings has been jumping around like crazy and I have never experienced this before.

Then all of a sudden the ranking for T Shirts disappered. Do you think the site could be subject to a spam link attack from a rival ?

What is the best way forward with resubmission to Google webmaster tools.

The strange this is the site is now 4th for Music T Shirts so still ranking ? But for that word it has disappeared...
