RE: SEO Bot
Depending on the plan you have, the spider crawlers 10k - 20k pages per campaign

RE: Multiple Addresses - Google places for business
If you have 1 site for all 4, you should have the addresses for all 4 in the footer of your website with rich schema markup + create 4 google+ pages (one for each location)

RE: How to migrate from an asp.net to wordpress without loosing domain authority?
You can install on windows but its more complicated than Linux.
The main thing you need to do it make sure the new URLs are the same as the old URLs (play with the permalink structure). If you do that, rankings shouldn't be affected.
If you can't get the URLs to match up exactly, make sure to set up 301 redirects from the old URLs to the new ones. You may lose traffic temporarily while Google adjust to the new URLs, but should bounce back within 2 weeks.
If there is custom coding involved, you'd need to convert to PHP.

RE: Better Conversions with Java Script Pop Up Form or with Independent Page (URL)?
I'm a big fan of popup contact forms.. the user isn't taken to another page and everything else goes into the background. But you'd have to test both variations for yourself to see which converts better for your traffic.
In terms of tracking changes, you'd need to change it to an event (on submit) type goal.

RE: Duplicate Content Errror
In general, you should either have the tag OR categories OR archives page indexed, the others noindexed. Having all 3 creates duplicate content issues (usually they have the same post content snippets in different order/page #s).
If you choose not to noindex them, you should mod_rewrite those URLs to looks like.com sacma.com/blog/tag/inbound-marketing/. And the /blog/ page should have a canonical set to itself to avoid dupe content.

RE: How to block index of link and content
ehhh. 1) his is dynamically generated and will change frequently 2)
<nav>is a suggestion.. doesn't mean google will follow it</nav>

RE: After 10th August ranking has changed
Probably a coincidence.. rankings do fluctuate. If you were hit by Emmanuel, you probably wouldn't be on the front page, let alone #3.
In additional, your competitors could have just improved their rankings (and as a result, your's dropped)

RE: Best way to handle page filters and sorts
I'd go with the parameter option:
- Go to Webmaster tools > Crawl > URL Parameters > Configure URL Parameters and enter all of the sorting/filtering parameters there.
2A) If all of your items are on one page, you can set up a canonical URL for that page (which would ignore all sorting parameters)
2B) If your categories have multiple pages, be sure to use rel=next/prev for pagination

RE: Fetch as Google
Google will recrawl the page much quicker and is more likely to update it's index based on any changes you made to the page (or index it for the first time).
As Ria said, there is no downside.

RE: After 10th August ranking has changed
Emanuel penalizes sites for excessive copyright infringement, nothing to do with content quality.
The best course of action is an on page audit + content/link building plan based on your strengths/weaknesses.

RE: Google's form for "Small sites that should rank better" | Any experiences or results?
Very solid idea - track email response times, phone call wait times, etc. But I think it would be very hard to implement while preventing spammers.
Phone numbers and email addresses can be spoofed with ease. I personally get phone calls/emails claiming to be Google and to "confirm" business information for rankings. If there was an official setup like that, the two could get confused and people taken advantage of.
Likewise, if they receive a call/email from "Google" and choose not to respond because they are used to spammers, they would be unfairly dropped lower in rankings even if they have great CS.
But I'm with you... Google definitely needs to give small businesses a fighting chance against the big boys. Just needs to be extremely well thought out.

RE: Can dynamically translated pages hurt a site?
Stumbled upon some additional information and decided to update you...
According to the internationalization FAQ...
Q: <a name="q5"></a>Can I use automated translations?
A: Yes, but they must be blocked from indexing with the “noindex” robots meta tag. We consider automated translations to be auto-generated content, so allowing them to be indexed would be a violation of our Webmaster Guidelines. So if you decide to autotranslate the text, you should use a noindex tag instead of the hreflang tag.

RE: Classified ads site and thin content + titles
You can template out "generated" text based on the ad details (e.g. category, location, poster bio). e.g. for all ads in "furniture" category, you have a paragraph of text that explains what the category is about. Depending on the location of the ad, you can publish a paragraph about the city/state. You can have the poster have the ability to submit a bio along with the ad. etc. The key is to add more topic relevant text to the page that would compliment the duplicate ad text.
You should target 1 keyword per page. You should keep the repeating "keyword" in the title if it is part of the keyphrase that you want all of your pages to rank for. It really depends on the keywords and content of the page(s).

RE: Two domains, a .ca and .com, for one company
Still use the hreflang attribute.
US site: http://example.com/" />
CA site: http://example.ca/" />
In addition, I would set country targeting via GWT.

RE: Links from non-indexed pages
If there is no direct way for the crawler to reach the page, it won't be indexed + if the page is so hard to reach, it probably wouldn't pass much authority onto your site.
I'd still get the link if it's on a good website for potential referral traffic but wouldn't worry about trying to get it indexed.

RE: Sites penalized for having same texts ?
Is this possible that having similar content (90% the same in some pages) is something bad even when they target different countries ?
Yes, there was a Panda and EMD update around Sep 27 which could have affected your website traffic. Are they EMD? If not, it could be Panda - which focuses on low quality and duplicate content.
Does google send some kind of notification if your site gets penalized ?
No, unless there was a manual review of your website - in which case they would send you a notification via Google Webmaster Tools.
Re-written all the text, in order to show completely different texts, would it help getting back the organic traffic ?
Yup, that's how you recover from Panda (for the most part).

RE: Selling in a US and UK market so what language should my site be in? UK English or US English
Whichever country gets you more sales. In terms of SEO, I don't think it will make much of a difference.

RE: What's your keyword research system?
- Ubersuggest to generate a bunch of keywords. Twitter/Quora/Yahoo Answers/Forums to see what questions people are asking for possible topics.
- Get their keyword volumes (filter out the real low search quantities) via Keyword Planner
- Group/combine common keyphrases
- Determine which topics to write about based on 1) competition 2) search quantity 3) topic intent/relevance (would this topic attract visitors that would help my site fulfill its goal?) 4) timing (seasonality, availability, trends)
Just keep in mind that every website/business is different and could use information from different sources. I recommend trying out all of the tools and seeing what they have to offer. From there, you can streamline your own process that is most effective for your situation.
