I'm interested in measuring content engagagement, things like what gets clicked on mouse tracking beahaviour etc. Google Analytics in page analytics does a good job but is there another product able to guage user interactive behaviour with content (Yes ive added event tracking).

Having just read Googles https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2648487 disavow contnet something troubled me...

Is it a possibility you could damage the page rank of a site if you add its url in these posts. Put another way if I added a url pointing to a specific site would googles radar detect the source as SEO and penalise the site in some way?

Any insights welcome

On this site www.davidclick.com I ran a crawl test and came across a url that doesnt exist in my site, the findings are illustrated here:

The plot thickens... the source of the referring traffic to a page that doesnt exist can be seen here:

My intial thoughts rae to disavow via this tool:

So my question is please:

Is this sinister or should I just sit back drink a cup of horlicks and return to a Zen like status of inner peace?

On this site http://www.collegeofphlebology.com i ran a referral report via Google Analytics and was surprised ro see referral traffic being counted from its own url, illustration here http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/referral-anomoly.jpg

So my question is please how can a site get referral traffic from the same url?

WTF Googles merchant centre has rejected my feed and In the time honoured zero customer service Ive grown accustomed to getting from Santa Clara County ive got bugger all idea how to fix it.

This site http://www.sandtoft.com/ has requested a switch in url forwardfing in that they want the following to happen:

When u enter the .com url it forwards to the .co.uk domain (the opposite from what it is today ie when you eneter .co.uk it switches to the .com url)

So my question is please...

"Will changing the .com url to .co.uk via forwarding affect SERPS in any significant manner" My view is the impact will be a minor dip in the serps followed by a recovery.

Every so oftem you hit an SEO mission that just consistently hits a brick wall. For the third time i'm investigating why this page:
http://www.collegeofphlebology.com/varicose-veins/what-are-they/ fails to even reach the bottom of page 3.

Ive gone back to basic and ran an SEO audit of sorts in an attempt to see if I'd missed anything. Here is the audit:

So my question is please:

From a technical SEO perspective is there anything wrong with this page http://www.collegeofphlebology.com/varicose-veins/what-are-they/  to explain why it does not rank for target term "Varicose Veins"

Knowing that pointing links to your website with only your targeted term is toxic how on earth do you defend against a third party site pointing a link to your site using the very term you dont want to over do.

Put another way... imagine you have a site ranking well for say target term "cordless drills". You then notice multiple sites who you have zero control over has pointed links to your site using that target term. So my question is...

"How do you block an incoming link if the site administaror doesnt head your cries to take out the targeted pharse in the link"

This page http://www.ramsdensforcash.co.uk/cash-for-gold/ has languished in the backwaters of the SERPS for target term "Cash for Gold" for too long (6 months).

Heres what ive done so far:

On page markup optimized - tick
Internally linked - tick
Checked and resolved duplicate contnet - tick

Today i took a close look at how a competitor sites performs for targetted content and ramsdens is not far behind. So the only thing ive got left is internal & externall link building. SO i guess i'm asking..."Is link building the only tactic left?"

Diagnosing duplicate content is a classic SEO skill but I'm curious to know what techniques other people use. Personally i use webmaster tools as illustrated here: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/webmaster-tools-duplicate.jpg but what other techniques are effective?

This page http://www.varicoseveinsurgery.com/varicose-veins/what-are-they/ has remained stubbornly out of the Google rankings for target term "Varicose Veins"

Heres what Ive done so far:
1. Made sure the HTML is optimised for the target term
2. Linked from the home page via a scrolling footer

Now i'm not looking for a page 1 result but I'm curious to know why the term hasnt even touched the unexplored backwaters of even page 3.

p.s If there is a canonical problem please tell me how you diagnosed that
