How To Determine Bad Backlinks?
Hi Klarke, thanks for the reply. So, I have indeed created and submitted articles to article directories. However, they were extremely high quality, and full of good information that people actually need to know about certain industries. The articles were in no way spam. The only link I included in these articles were in the bio/author section. It seems natural and understood that the author that wrote the article would link back to their content, in case readers want to learn more about the author. I also commented on blogs, forums, etc, and left my website in the “Website Field Box”. However, I used my real name and not some anchor text. I also wrote legitimate comments that added additional information and engaging responses to the topic, not spam. That’s what forums and blog comments are for. It again seems natural that if someone leaves an engaging comment that they leave their website under their name so people can go their for more information, after all that is why their is a “Website Field Box”. I have read SEO articles across the internet that also says delete comment and article spam etc. However, these suggestions seem to be general suggestions that assume that everyone commenting or writing articles were abusive in doing so and created spammy content. However, that is not the case with me. All of these things were genuine and provided good information. Nevertheless, the issue remains that Google sent me this message saying it had an issue with my links. No doubt surely the majority of these links are responsible for helping my website rank well and are liked by Google. My fear is if I simply go through and try to delete all of these types of links my rankings will tank. So, the question is how do I know which links Google is looking unfavorably on, so I can only address those?

NEED HELP, Figuring Out Ranking Drop!
Trademarks can be registered in some countries, but not worldwide. Will it be any difference in selected country search if trademark is not valid there? As i see in some results, google just hides the result if that page had official trademark violation, but does not penalize the website.

How To 301 Redirect .html pages
Hi again, A 301 redirect is an instruction given to the server which tells it which page to send the request to. If you were using an Apache server, you would create a .htaccess file with the lines of code in it to create the redirect. With a Windows server you should have access to what is effectively a server management console that you can log into. In this console, within the Internet Services Manager, you basically choose the options which create the redirect within the server for you. It does not matter whether your pages are .html or .php ...the process is the same according to which server setup you are dealing with. I think perhaps you are confusing a 301 redirect with a redirect script which can be placed in the head of a document. This latter is not a great option for a number of reasons ...most notably that it does not allow link value to flow to the new page and also will not tell the search engine to de-index the old page and replace it with the new. Hope that helps, Sha

Should I Decrease My Keyword Density
I agree with Stephen on trying to cut down the number(replace with related kw) and monitor the results . The motivation to do so is more about user perception rather than SERPs. Page looks good above the fold but becomes a bit less compelling as you go down . The tools only provide suggestions (good ones actually) rather than edicts , on top of my head imagine running that tool on cars.com keyword "cars" . As far as "KW density" this device from my understanding was meant to cultivate best practice ; to optimize for form and flow rather than trying to gain an edge in the SERPs (might not be KW density after all) . This article is old but I hope it helps in explaining KW density (or the non existence of). Hope this helps . Cheerio

Any Good Ideas on Promoting a Contest?
This seems like a contest your customers might be interested in. Do you have an email list? Perhaps send it out there. I have never run a contest where someone has to create a video, but I have had success with free contest listing sites. Do a quick google search and you will find a few where you can list your contest. Also, don't be afraid to ask your followers to RT your Tweets. I find when I ask followers are happy to oblige. Best of luck with the contest!

Anyone Used ScrapeBox or SEONukeX Before?
Scrapebox is an excellent tool for blog and forum discovery. SENukeX doesn't really help at all in that department and is really only a decent tool if you find creative ways to use it like building your own blog networks.

Should I Host New Blog On Different Server?
I don't think you can out smart Google by putting websites on various sub nets for hosting, you really need to think about all levels how Google can track for example who is data, GA tracking codes, Adsense ID codes and thing that can link up the dots to show it is a mini net. If you have a blog and the same site my advice is to host it all on one domain, sure enough you can host the site on 2 separate websites if you are using different TLD's and want to GEO target your website.

Need Guidance On SEO Campaign
Is this a package you're buying from someone, or something you're doing internally? It could be great, or a great failure, IMHO. If you have 12 awesome articles produced each month, and you find 200 blog posts each month that are high-quality and relevant and you craft relevant, unique comments on each one, that's a real good start. If you get someone else to write 12 blog articles, run those through a content spinner so they get to be 24 different articles, and then put that on article directories and auto-submit spam to a list of do follow blogs that make the bloggers consider turning off comments on their blog, you're better having done nothing.

Meta Description In Blog Feed
I do write meta descriptions on all my blog posts, and I actually do use the Wordpress All in One SEO pack. However just because you put information for the Meta Title and Meta Description for the article, does not mean it is going to show up in the blog tags or in the blog feed. The feed and the tags consist of a combination of several different articles and are created dynamically. However, they are not given a meta description tag. I would like to find a way to give them a meta description tag. Any suggestions? I'm not sure if giving tags a no index is the right thing to do or not. I have actually had several tag url's get ranked for great long tail keywords in Google.

Do Nofollows still work for Sculpting?
Even then though, why would you want to use a nofollow if every nofollow decreases your page rank value? Even if you are using it in a forum context or for an ad it looks like this would still kill your Page Rank. Would it be better to wrap the links you don't want to pass Page Rank to in an iframe or java script?

Crawl Errors and Duplicate Content
There are two aspects to the issue: 1. Resolve the cause of the problem. Crawl your site, locate any links to alternate URLs and change the links on your site to use the correct version of the URL. 2. Add a 301 redirect from /bad-url to /good-url. This will ensure any link juice to the bad urls is retained, along with providing a good user experience.

Crawl Tool Producing Random URL's
The same thing is happening for one of my campaigns, specifically for a 302 redirect to the homepage. My guess is I need to update it to a 301, but I'm not 100% sure if that would solve the issue?

Is Video Marketing Effective Link Building Strategy?
It is my opinion that video marketing is somewhat ahead of its time, and not worth putting a ton of time, money, or effort into at this point. That includes a service like Tubemogul that ultimately spams social media and video sites with you video. Unless your video is unique enough to become popular, touching or funny enough to become viral, I would only produce videos that would be relevant for my website/blog and visitors.
