Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
Thank you for the response. We started to see in the Adwords console, Ads previously approved and running were not being shown and we could not tell why. By the latter half of the next day things were back normal. All we could think of, was perhaps the DNS/IP changes created the need for Google to pause the ads and re-validate the domain.

301 Re-Directs Puzzling Question on Page Returned in Search Results
thanks - we did some more research on our end and our developer found this -- The problem with the title, description and keywords is because we updated these for just Wyoming, West Virginia, Vermont, Maine and Florida. I made the mistake of assuming the URL would always have the proper case of the state in the URL but as we have discovered that was a bad assumption. The code was looking for those 5 states with the first letter capitalized and the link from Google was not so it defaulted to the format for the other states that we haven't changed yet. I have fixed that code so now those 5 states will display the correct title, description and keywords regardless of the case of the state in the URL. I will update the live site in the morning so this issue will be taken care of. We will still need to discuss the how best to handle the URLs that Google is getting with the incorrect case.

Very Puzzled --- 301 ReDirects Did Not Work - Lost Rankings - Any Thoughts?
I ran your new domain - the one that you redirect the others to - through OSE and there were 58 incoming links but they were from only 2 different root domains. One of them no longer linked to you when I checked it and the other one was blocked by our security software here at work. The software stated that it was a 'Verified Threat'. If the site linking to you is malicious and there are multiple links from that site to your domain Google could be penalizing you for it - once all of the link juice (well, all that WILL pass) is passed via your 301s then this should tip the ratio of good/bad links in to your favor and hopefully fix the issue. It may be a good idea to look in to the site though. It could be nothing, our software has been known to block pages that are fine although it is pretty rare... the page that is linking to your page is http://www.onlinebizdirectory.com/business/businesses_for_sale_in_vermont.html

Timing of Adding Links -- Guidance Needed
Hi Matt, I checked it out. What I saw was a quality site using your service as intended and citing you as the provider. I would be incredibly surprised if there was anything negative here. There are absolutely no potential low quality signals I can see. Your service is getting adopted by legitimate users and cited appropriately. I just can't see anything wrong with this. If you were "penalized" for growth this would be a gross distortion of what what the "penalty" is intended for. I really see nothing wrong here. Do you have further growth lined up? The only thing I could see POSSIBLY being an issue is getting a burst of links and then having it drop off. But it's only 50 sites - not the thousands you can get using "other" means. I strongly think you should just go for this. If you were a client that would be my recommendation. This IS natural linking. Any other SEO's care to weigh in on my thought process? If I'm full of it I'd love to hear it. But I don't see how.

301 Redirect or Canonical Tag or Leave Them Alone? Different Pages - Similar Content
Thanks for the response. Do you think we need to stay consistent - for example if we decide to use this version - http://www.businessbroker.net/State/California-Businesses_For_Sale.aspx as the preferred version - should we use this as the preferred version for all states -- even if this version is not the ranking version for a particular state? Thanks again, MM
