Hi Linda, In the absence of any penalty or rankings dip, there's likely nothing to worry about as this is pretty common. If nothing else, even though Google reports those links in GWT it's very possible they discount them in every other way that counts. On the other hand, if you are worried about it there should be no harm in proactively disavowing the domain. Lot's of agency folk that I know make this a regular practice to disavow any suspect links and 99.9% of the time, if done correctly, no harm will come to your site simply by filing a disavow file (unless you disavow links that are actually good, but that's another story)

I had looked at that article before I posted, and it also has this paragraph: Googlebot can index almost any text a user can see as they interact with any Flash SWF file on your site, and can use that text to generate a snippet or match query terms in Google searches. Additionally, Googlebot can also discover URLs in SWF files (for example, links to other pages on your site) and follow those links. This makes me think the link might be a problem. It is only one link out of a large link profile, so I am not too worried but it's always good to be prepared...

We've been testing some campaigns with Pulse360 . They have reputable sites like cnn in their network. Still early days but feel free to PM me for more info.

I found out about these data result issues a few days ago, but only when I was logged into my AdWords account. I logged out, and you are then using the old and more familiar keyword tool we are all used to. The significant drawback to this is that only 100 keyword ideas are presented at a time. Doing "blind" tests not only would be frustrating, but you will also be considering for yourself, or worse, presenting "blind" data to your clients about the best keywords to target and why. I'm going to stay logged out until I see or read that this issue has been resolved. Hope it does soon and hope this helps you out in the short-term.

I'm still getting great results from several EMD's that have very good content on them and which are updated regularly. My EMD's also do very well with Bing/Yahoo, who seem rank this signal higher. I think you'd be ok if you found a unique purpose for the domains and put excellent content on them. In our case, we have some software products that solve some broad problems, but also several niche problems.  We used the EMD's to focus the product content like a laser on the niche. Google doesn't like EMD's with spammy content, but thankfully it still likes great unique content.

If your main domain ranks very well, and your blog on a separate domain and separate IP ranks well (presuming the blog has link juice of it's own), here's what I would consider: 1. How competitive is the niche you are trying to rank ? I am presuming it's finance based of your profile. 2. If you created 2 articles, similar topics and posted 1 on the blog and 1 on the website, which would rank better and why. If the page on your site outranks your blog page, for same/similar keywords, you should consider merging the blog into your main website and do 301 redirects from the blog to your new URL. EG: RewriteRule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/blog/$1 I hope this helps.
