Likely the primary reason they do this is to comply with Google's wishes regarding paid links, outlined at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=66736. They do not like to see links sold to manipulate pagerank, and adding a nofollow tag complies with their guidelines. They are doing it so their site doesn't get hit with a rankings penalty.

The short answer is that yeah, it's a Google thing. Google has been changing titles a lot more lately, and has often tweaked the meta description. Barry has a post on it over at Search Engine Roundtable. http://www.seroundtable.com/google-title-tag-13704.html.

You don't have anything set up wrong in your CMS, it's Google. It's late, so I don't have a longer answer for you, but hopefully this will help keep you from pulling out any more hair while we wait for some more people to chime in.

Did you set up your campaign as www.domain.com or domain.com? Your campaign metrics will reflect what you've set up for your campaign.

External links are not the same as seeing how many pages you have indexed. You can have 1000 pages, but only have 10 links to your domain.

I agree with the page speed comment, they have been known to slow down sites.

As a user, I get annoyed with an addthis-type widget that pops up with 50 social networks that I can like or submit to. If you are going to use one of those, take a few extra moments to look and include just the ones your users are likely to use

This is more commentary for your next step, after you have this question answered.

The links at the bottom right of the page seem more for search engines than users. As a user, I expected to be taken to a page about that particular topic, not have a paragraph or two display. My gut is telling me that some of the work that was done (in not the best way)  for SEO was at the expense of usability. You might look at installing Crazyegg or a similar tracking software that looks where users click on the page, even if they're not clicking on a link. In addition to making the SEO right on the site, you'll want to look at the user experience and conversions.

Some would say cough EGOL cough to spend all that money on killer content for your own site, and that the links would come naturally. Can you tell us anything about the site, and if you have good content in place, good site structure, etc?

There's no redirect needed at that point, since mysite.com is where you do want people to end up. If you type in the correct version, you don't need a redirect (adding the http:// in the browser isn't a redirect).

Sounds to me like everything is set up correctly for you now.

I'm looking at a site:dozoco.com search in Google and all the URLs I see look like http://dozoco.com/#!/store/us-pets. The #! may be the cause of the problem; I'm not exactly sure how Roger deals with crawling that.

There's a limit of 5 campaigns for the Pro version. If you need more campaigns (usually one campaign per website), you can upgrade to a larger plan.

You usually only enter a campaign once. You set it up with your website, then let it collect the data.

You'll start getting data for your campaign within 24 hours.

I don't do a lot of link outreach myself, but I do get a fair amount of spam link requests that are obviously taken from a boilerplate and not customized. Those never get a response from me, unless I'm in a bad mood, and then it's not a positive response.

I'm so sorry about the frustration you're having. It's not quite 5:00 in the morning Seattle time, so it may be a few more hours before you can get a more complete response. I couldn't sleep and happened to be checking email and saw these replies. What I can offer you right now is Rand's post about this latest update at http://www.seomoz.org/blog/november-2011-linkscape-update. He says the following about the binary file issue:

As I noted in the September index update, we have had some serious issues when crawling deeper on large domains and encountering binary files that contain code our crawler recognizes and treats as a link. To help stop this problem, we applied a black list to this index to stop a large number of the files folks had reported to us (our estimate is that ~40% of binary files are now removed). However, we know there's still more than a few of these in the database of links so we'll continue cranking away on solutions to remove them all. Our hope is to have them reduced in the next index (November) and nearly eliminated by the December index. If you're ever curious about the next/previous updates, you can always see data for them on our Linkscape calendar.

You should be able to enter more keywords at this point. For what you may have missed, the best bet is to go through our Help Hub at http://moz.com/help and look at the information there.

CoTweet allows you to assign tweets to other people as well, and archive tweets for which you don't need to respond.

To be honest, the use of the word brainless in the post a couple of times might have been what kept people from answering, as those who use FB and Twitter for business might argue a bit about it being brainless.

The downside to a high search percentage is that if the algo changes and the change isn't in your favor, you don't have anything to fall back on. The traffic sources for my model warship combat site are similar to yours Yumi -- about an equal mix of direct, referral, and search engines. It's a comfort to know that if something drastic changed with the search engines, I still have my referral and direct traffic.

Have you exhausted the links from your own town first? Do you sponsor a little league team? Do you volunteer for anything? Are you a member of the chamber of commerce? Of your local real estate group? How about creating the best piece of content you can about relocating to your particular town so that it naturally grows links?

All of those seem a much better ideas than going to another state and looking for links.

If the site were still up, you could verify it in Google Webmaster Tools, put up a robots.txt for that subdomain that excludes crawlers from crawling anything, then go into GWT and request the entire subdomain be removed.
