I changed our homepage banner image, and the change shows up if I'm logged into site (it's a WP site). However, when I log out of WP and go to the site, the change doesn't display. I've cleared the cache's, tried different browsers and on different devices, but it only shows the updated version when I'm logged in.

Why would that be? And, how can I "force" it to update?

If you have a basic Moz Pro account, then you have Moz Analytics. It's only a 3 day gap, maybe they had some trouble linking or crawling your site. Sometimes, my data is not 100% up to date, but it usually catches up soon enough.

I didn't really understand the part about the trial period. If you paid for a Pro account, your data wouldn't have ended. It would have transferred.

I hear ya. It's always fun to run experiments and learn something new. Whatever your reasons for pursuing it, just make sure it doesn't link to any of your other sites and isn't hosted on the same c-block...at the minimum.

The NHTSA produces a list of all recalls for automobiles. In their "terms of use" it states that the information can be copied. I want to add that to our site, so there is an up-to-date list for our audience to see. However, I'm just copying and pasting. I'm allowed to according to NHTSA, but google will probably flag it right? Is there a way to do this without being penalized?

Whenever I open my site from an uncached source, like google incognito, for a split second it displays purple links and a white background while it loads the rest of the content. I've included a screenshot. Is there any way to fix that.? The site is www.kemprugegreen.com.

Well, ideally, I would just generate content for our blog, however, I'm running under the assumption, I can't just write posts for us and then submit them to other people to post on their blog/media source, because no one wants duplicate content. I was thinking contributing to other people's blogs with original content would be a good kick start to building our blog presence until it stands on its own.

In terms of content, this page is blank. Yes, there's a sidebar and footer, but no content. I've seen a page like this rank before. I'm curious if they're implementing something on the back-end I don't realize or if this is just a fluke? Etc.

Also, the DA of the site is only a 15, so I don't think that's the reason.

I use a w3 total cache and cloudfare. It rocks! Granted, our site may not be blazing fast to other people's standards, but it was horrendous before. The pageload speed was cut in half and our pagespeed insights score went from the 64ish to 89/90.

Granted, we did a lot of tweaking in addition to the plugin and the CDN, but I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I've seen this "1 link per 125 words" for blog posts suggestion pop up a variety of places. I wanted to know if that's "correct" or a best practice? In my posts, I generally write between 800 to 1200 words with about 4 to 6 links in the body of the post. However, (and this may be a problem) I add about 13 links in my closing paragraph, "if you have any legal questions, etc etc, click here for your "Tampa personal injury attorney, Clearwater Personal Injury Attorney, etc etc for all the areas we practice in related to that blog post."

Should I stop doing that? Does that come off as spammy? (The blog is hosted on our site, if that matters for this question at all).

Pro: There are a lot of benefits to having a personal page that is actually a company. Personal pages have far more access to people's profiles than business pages do.

Con: However, though I can't quote the guideline, it is a violation of FB's rules, so they could delete your account.

Con: Personal pages, (I believe) will not help your website rankings in the way that FB business pages do (or are predicted to do) in the near future.

I appreciate the follow up, Marie. Please give me your thoughts on the following idea;

The NHTSA only posts the updates for the past month. If I noindex the page for now (which is what I'm doing) and wait five months, then what would happen? At that point, yes, the current month would be duplicated, but I'd have four months of "unique" content because the NHTSA deletes there's. Plus, I could add pictures of all the automobile, too. Do you think that would be enough to index it?

(I'm most likely going to keep it noindex, because this borders on shady, or at least, I could see google taking it that way, but just as a thought experiment, what do you think?) Or anyone else?

Do you actually mean "it does not show up" or it is not ranking well? Either way, as Lynn pointed out, it's tough to tell without a url, keyword, etc.

Do you mean undergraduate courses? Because, I know a few people who had SEO coursework for their MBA. Granted, to my knowledge, none of them took SEO 101, but it was covered in a general sense. University of Tampa's MBA program, for example, did this at least when the people I knew got MBA's from there (only a few years ago).

I don't think you will have a keyword stuffing problem either, and here's why: http://www.shoes.com/en-US/Womens///Athletic+Shoes~Walking/_/Products.aspx I did a super fast check and typed in shoes. shoes.com was number 1. They have shoes twice. Granted, this is not scientific, but I bet if you did some digging, you'd see several companies with high rankings that have the keyword twice.
