Dex Landing Pages!
Hey Colin, Thanks for your reply, glad to know I'm not totally alone on this. The client has been pretty frustrated with Dex in general. Dex set up all of their PPC ads to link to these extraneous domains instead of the one actually owned by my client, who wasn't even aware of those extra sites until she found one by accident. Dex and other similar websites seem desperate, saying pretty much anything to retain clients. Thanks! Tyler

Rankings confusion in pro campaign
Thanks for getting back to me Peter. I think that my question didn't come out clear, sorry! I've attached an image of the issue I'm seeing. Basically, SEOMoz gives one ranking, then tells me another when I hover over the local dot. I didn't mean there was a discrepancy between what SEOMoz gives, and what I find when running queries. Maybe the picture will better demonstrate. Sorry, I removed the names because this is for a client. Thanks again, Tyler Si4oO5m

Local Link Building help!
Glad I could help! Check out the Whitespark Local Citation Finder, if you haven't already - it's pretty awesome... Another few non-link related things that will be a big help for local search optimization: Also, make sure you get their Google+ Local pages claimed and optimized. Work hard on a review strategy so they can start acquiring positive reviews. If you're brave, you can try merging their G+ Local page with their G+ Business page - then you've got an integrated maps/social presence, which can lead to some cool things... also, you can set up Google Authorship, so that the business owner's photo shows up next to their listings, which can help click-throughs.

Reusing content owned by the client on websites for other locations?
I agree with both Andrea and Miriam in that the best-case scenario would be one site that provides links and information to different locations, provided the branding and business model support that of course.

Page Title in Local SEO Title Tags?
Hi Tyler, That's great that you're aware of Linda's forum (I'm a mod there, too:))! I recommend writing your title tags in a more natural manner than the example you've given above. I'd go with something more like that: Contact Moe's Italian Pizza In Springfield, IN At (XXX) XXX-XXXX If you've found that 'gourmet' is a vital keyword for the page, you could work that in instead of the phone number, but I always try to put the phone number in the title tag of the contact page. See how my example reads naturally? Like a human would speak? In my opinion, this is the optimum way to go. Rand agrees with this method, too. I recommend you watch his WhiteBoard Friday from earlier in the year in which he talks about naturalness in title tags: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/6-changes-every-seo-should-make-before-the-over-optimization-penalty-hits-whiteboard-friday Also, be careful about repeating keywords, as covered in Linda's thread which SEO5 has smartly linked to. Hope this helps!

Local SEO Title-Tag Optimization
Hmm. Yeah, I was planning on diversifying the keywords on each of the pages, using phrases that are getting traffic for a particular area. There seems to be a lack of well-established "best practices" for local SEO title tags, and this is something I've been trying to nail down for a couple of months. I hear that geo modifiers should go before any keywords, are you suggesting maybe this isn't the best approach?
