Yes i've seen this numerous of times. Is it just 404's are are there also things like DNS playing along?
But if the amount of 404's jump up really high then for sure google turns down the speed. i guess this gives you some air to fix it in time.

RE: Is there a service, paid or free, that allows you to see the full ip address of a visitor?
Thats very good possible. its the nearest connection block of the network. can be in the same street but when living in a small village it can be few villages away

In php you can easily get the Ip address by using
but getting a full address is impossible. often you can get as close as a neighbourhood.
You have things like: http://www.iplocation.net/ and http://www.whatsmyip.org/ip-geo-location/

RE: Do you lose link juice when stripping query strings with canonicals?
This is not 100% a fact, but i think you will lose "some" juice but certainly not significant!

RE: I really need some help with Magento and Duplicate Page Content results I;m getting
This is one of the great joys of Magento. Luckily we are magento specialists here to help

First be sure that you setup the canonical URL setting for category pages!

Local search result not showing
Hi Mozzers,
I'm not a huge expert on local SEO.. the thing is when searching for our brand + city. or brand name specific or anything we do not get the map on the right with our contact info and such.
To be sure this is what we've done.- We have a google+ page + verified content (for more than 4 months now)
- We have images, opening times, email, url's and such filled in (for 4 months now)
- We are on several local sites with our address, and such
- We do have some old listings here and there where we have old addresses but its just a few and we are on it to update / deleting them
- We have Microdata on our site with our address, lat lang and such.
- All address data on social, and few other pages are super in sync with each other.
We are located in the Netherlands so a lot of info on this site we cannot use, becuase they don't accept us for example. Very curious on some interesting info how to optimize and why we are not showing.

RE: Can i get a list of internal and external links from moz?
Of course. the moz tool Open Site Explorer is perfect for that! And also the fresh web explorer is a great tool as well to find the newest links to you or to your competitor.
For more info checkout this video on the OSE tool.

RE: Do you lose link juice when stripping query strings with canonicals?
You asked a very similar question earlier: http://moz.com/community/q/are-links-with-query-strings-worse-for-seo
Like iQSEO-UK said back then we haven't seen big impact on SEO with urls with query strings and specially utm tracking. I personally havent had any issues as well with duplicated content, or results double in the search engines or something. When you 301 it, if will have some loss in juice, and i suggest with a canonical this does as wel a little bit, but nothing significant for sure!

RE: Pages Returning A 403 Error
Good luck, its a nasty job but has to be done for your own good
Cheers. -
RE: For URLs that require login, should our redirect be 301 or 302?
Uhmn. Yes and no.
302 suggests it will be back. but actually it will be never back.
So a 302 would keep the link juice where it is which is fine. because you do not want to have all that juice to the invaluable login page right.but noindex following is the way to go.

RE: Pages Returning A 403 Error
If the pages return a 403 they are not passing through any link equity. Why can't you 301 all of the old links to the new location. That would be the way. the 403's can really hurt your site + rankings. Just removing all old content and doing nothing else is not the way to go. all old urls should return 301 to the correct ones!

RE: For URLs that require login, should our redirect be 301 or 302?
a 302 would suggest the page will be back anytime soon since its a "temporary redirect"
While a 301 suggest the page is moved. So personally i would use a 302 so that the page your landing on keeps the juice but the user will be redirected to a login screen for example.I would suggest to noindex those pages if they are really hidden for search engines. (noindex, follow)

RE: Does adding a backlink in google plus comments work?
You know link building via comments is not really appreciated by google right
https://www.seroundtable.com/link-comment-spamming-12856.html.other ways google+ and other social mentions are a important factor. but really link building is not going to work this way. For starters everything is nofollowed. Second these selve created links aren't organic and thus powerfull links at all. and second i dont see much of links getting greatly indexed.
Its a great way of building awareness when doing it relevant and adding value with your comments and links and that way create more exposure for your content but directly link-building the good way. no a smart idea

Cheers!

RE: High DA url rewrite to your url...would it increase the Ranking of a website?
No i'm sorry i will clarify. What i ment was more "if i think logically i do not think it will give you any benefits"
The example mentioned that if that where true, everyone would start a wordpress.com blog instead of there own site because there Top domain already has superb scorings.

RE: Outdated Videos and SEO
I think there are 2 things you could do here.
1. Update the content, if a new product comes out and you want to add a updated version just update the video, i don't use youtube that much but this was always perfectly useable.
2. Else in your first line on the description link to your newer content and tell there is an update. Maybe also with a annotation you can link towards it.

RE: Your tips for this landing page
There are some tips. for sure.
I guess this is some kind of category page with a listing. I think the info about the specific category is not much at all.maybe you want to start with the h1 of the category name. also use the h2 and h3 about this category on not below so sum things up.
Talk about 250 words about this category advokatai.
Maybe under a read more (toggle) for usability a bit more about advokatai This will give the search engines more to grab on to. and gives you more control of the page instead of the listings. Also check out the page speed. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
here its a bit slowish. (Netherlands)
