Just Discovered links - How long before they are counted toward the PA scores
Hey Joe, Thanks for writing in! DA and PA are updated with our index every 3-6 weeks. Just discovered links are found through RSS feeds and Social accounts and are there to highlight links that may appear in our next index. You may see Page authority increase faster than Domain Authority with each update and there is a chance that it may remain the same depending on where your link juice is coming from. Feel free to follow up with any other questions!

Domain.com/keyword1.keyword2.html vs doamin.com/keyword1-keyword2.html
Dots aren't used in URL structure except to signal a change, either from subdomain to root, root to tld, and in the URL string to indicate file format. Use dashes to separate words.

What is going on with Pinterest ?
Thank you for the feedback Martijn, I was aware that Pinterest was technically a No follow domain. However in my regular link profile updates and reviews I have noticed them turning to Do follow and back to No follow again. I was wondering if anyone was noticing the same thing ?

How do I find my campaigns since i reactivated my account ?
Go to your Campaigns section: http://pro.moz.com/campaigns At the top of the page there is a "Archived Campaigns" Tab, give it a click. From here, you should easily be able to "activate" your campaigns. If this doesn't work, please send a note to help@moz.com and we'll take a closer look. Thanks!

Can you export a keyword rankings report with the keywords listed in order of ranking ?
Hi Joseph, While there's not a way to pull this data out of SEOMoz pre-sorted, this can easily be done by exporting this data into a CSV, electing your datafields and then formatting these as a table in Excel. Then you can simply click whatever header you want (i.e. Google US Rank) and sort from smallest to largest, numerically, then Voila! You have your keywords sorted in order. Hope that helps! Dana

City or country name get the exact domain name devauation ?
EMD affects low quality sites. Don't be afraid of exact match domains if you are going to put up a good, worthwhile site with real content. Ex: www.melbournephotography.com.au is on page 1 for Melbourne photography www.hotels.com is #1 for hotels www.creditcards.com is #1 for credit cards I wouldn't worry about it for a real site. And Moz has a whole post on it here: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/the-exact-match-domain-playbook-a-guide-and-best-practices-for-emds including: Matt Cutts has made this comment in the past (about 2 years ago): "We have looked at the rankings and weights that we give to keyword domains and some people have complained that we’re giving a little too much weight for keywords in domains. And so we have been thinking about adjusting that mix a little bit and sort of turning the knob down within the algorithm so that given two different domains, it wouldn't necessarily help you as much to have a domain with a bunch of keywords in it."

Best url structure
Joseph I'd make each page totally unique to the city. Don't worry about/focus on getting a penalty or not. Make the pages so useful for the user that if you have a sentence or two that's similar you won't get a penalty. Useful to me would be information that's entirely specific to what the page is "about". A page with some testimonials and an in-depth case study, photos and useful info in regard to that location should really deliver and give people what they need to know about the services in that location! -Dan

100 + links on a scrolling page
Everyone says don't dilute the PR, but what is the approximate numbers? As for now we have an e-commerce site, with many products. We want our page to be easy slide (as on Facebook scroll down), and it would put like 5000+ links on one page, would this dilute?

Has anyone purchased the Mozcon video bundle 2011 ?
I did not purchase the video bundle for 2011, but having either gone through myself or my staff having gone through many of the power points available from the agenda, we will purchase the bundle. I see an email circulate every other day re Some Takeaways from _____ ppt.

New links not showing in site explorer ?
Google makes no promises that it will show you all of the links that it knows about, and also makes no promises that the links that it shows count for anything. They have publicly admitted they do not count links from UpDowner, for example, to the relief of many webmasters. At the beginning of your response, you state your website rankings have improved. That is one report you can show the client. Other things to look at for your client are their traffic and how that has changed -- have those links given the client any referral traffic? has the client's organic traffic increased on keywords you've been targeting? has your client made more conversions? Page and Domain authority are nice, but they don't pay the client's mortgage. Find things that help show to the client what you have done is my suggestion.

How can you rank for several cities ?
Targeting the local search results (Places/Google+ Local) isn't always a viable strategy depending on the the competitiveness of the industry and the number of/geographic distance between the target cities. If you're in a really competitive industry and you're based in one city, and you're looking to target a city that's a 45 minute drive away, Google is likely going to serve up more geographically relevant search results, regardless of the quality of Local SEO work that you've done. In this case, you may be dealing with target keywords that don't always/often produce a local search results section.

How do you build domain trust and authority ?
Hi Joseph, From a purely numbers point of view, all of this links could help your site's metrics, but I think we're missing the larger picture. Before we talk about that though, here's a couple of pointers: don't forget about MozTrust in your metrics, especially dealing with directory sites. Sites with high MozRank and low MozTrust should be avoided Also when dealing with directories, this is one of the few times that looking at PageRank is actually useful. A big difference between MR/DA and toolbar PageRank is a big warning sign that the directory might have been penalized What's more important is probably the relevancy of the page. This is even more important than the metrics. A link from a relevant high trusted domain, even if it has almost zero MozRank, is better than an off topic link in the footer of page with great MozRank (some exceptions apply) Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO!

Are seo press releases with links from PRWEB helpful ?
Hey Jane, a little off base here. Let me try and help. Can you say which search terms you are going after? If you can drop them in the post (or PM me) then we can look how difficult they are, look at your site and Really, I would look at doing this with some content. It seems like you know why this is a better machine, start talking about it online. If there are some kind of tanning communities or other blogs, see if you can network with some people and do some guest posting to generate some better links with more longevity. Honestly, it all depends on how competitive it is for the keywords you are after but a few high quality links, some focused service type landing pages and some content articles to try and go after the larger slice of search than just dry transactional queries will all help. If you blog about tanning, share your knowledge, use twitter to network and reach out to lots of other tan / beauty related blogs and see if you can guest post. Identify some targets, add comments, get friendly with folks, let them see your amazing blog, then ask if you can guest post. You would be surprised how easy this can be and if your competition are just doing the same tired old stuff then... you will see results from this. PRWeb - meh, can be okay, but for what you want to do, you may be better writing content for your own site and networking with other bloggers. If you are small as well, a few quality directories, maybe there are some vertical directories? Maybe there is a tanning community where you can share some knowledge, make some more contacts etc. Hope that helps!

Are Links from an article site with a pr5 valuable when the article page itself has no PR
Thank you so much for your time and valuable help. I was reading how important it was to write quality content , but where where do I get the proper guidelines. I am glad I am here at SEOMOZ. It seems like this is where I will get the proper education and direction I need. So, if I cleaned up my website and took some of the obvious blatant keywords out , should I expect to lose some ranking ? Or is that part of the puzzle not even neccesary ? Also, Is it possible you may have a website url of some examples of a website done and written really well ? Thank you Once Again. I cannot express how much I appreciate the help.
