RE: Even blackhat world wished me happy birthday... What up SEOmoz?
Sure do! Read to have your mind blown? I've seen the struggles you have been having with getting new users engaged. I get it... SEO is tough stuff after all - I'm here to help. Watch the attached video before continuing.
Spoiler Alert - Watch video before reading
How about combining gaming elements along with leader board type tracking of progress. Kind of like launching a campaign for a site (but now it will be called a game). You progress as if playing a game and the result is your site gets "SEO'd."The beautiful part about this, you track where other users get stuck / give up and how others have overcome these difficulties - share this data as part of the game. Build a big enough user base and what do you get? Precise answers to the hardest of SEO questions -> e.g. why did my rankings fall? because you did this, this and this! incoming thunder cats reference Machine learning Ho!
I wouldn't suggest this idea to anyone but SEOmoz - it's hard but is totally doable for someone who created open site explorer.

Thanks Keith.
This question was more of a subtle suggestion for more personalization

RE: Even blackhat world wished me happy birthday... What up SEOmoz?
September 7/1986
queue epic music
A day may come when we forsake our friends,
and break all bonds of fellowship,
but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields,
when the age of men comes crashing down,
but it is not this day!
This day we celebrate!!
By all that you hold dear on this good Earth,
I bid you hence, mark your calendars!

RE: Access Denied
Hi Nile
I've found this for you: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2409441
It summarizes why access denied shows up.
My initial thought was that your robots.txt file was maliciously updated to block many of your pages.

RE: How to pick the right keywords for backlink building in a Huge site
Disclaimer: This is a thin, quick response.
Ranking for money terms is obviously... money. That said though, google is penalizing sites that are only targeting money terms.
Go for a balance between keywords that will have a nice ROI and those that your visitors will just enjoy(some articles even having no direct monetary gain). If I was in your position, this is what I'd do.
edit: Just to be clearer, I would want to avoid building a site that doesn't cater to its audience.

RE: Need some advice on changing website around.
Before I start, I see that some of the changes you suggested are already going into practice. First thing though, check cross browser compatibility. I can't read most of that text on your site with firefox. Adobe has their browser labs and it is handy for cross browser compatibility.
All that said, you weren't clear what your intent of the site is so... i'm going to guess and say that you want bookings for event speaking. In that case, I'd design the site to sell yourself. Tell the visitor what you do, who hires you and why THEY should hire you. I searched through several public speakers (46 sites in total) and this one caught my eye: http://www.lindaedgecombe.com/
Now this isn't a perfect example by any means (poor site title, unclear header text: "Your Re - Set Expert for Crazy Times" - could be clearer on what she does, and no call to action above the fold to name a few). But as an example, shows a great deal of what does and really sells herself.
Not sure if this is the intent of your site, but I hope it helps!

RE: Best information organization for a new site?
You want to have usability at the forefront of your mind when deciding this. From an SEO standpoint you will want to make the architecture as flat as possible (i.e. as few clicks as possible from the homepage to reach the deepest content of your website).
As for your ideas though, I like number 2 better. Why? I imagine the mindset I'd be in if I was trying to remove sauce from my couch:
1. What material is stained.
2. What stained it.
3. How to treat it.

RE: Do Live Web Video (eg: WebOuts.com) Help CRO?
I think that since this is so new (first time I've seen it used) that you are approaching it wrong. The chance of finding those case studies is slim. The sure fire way would be to implement it and test. What I'd be looking for:
1. Compatibility with my target audience (i.e. can they see it)
2. Usability implications of the video (e.g. the bounding box of the video on the webouts.com home page completely blocks all the links on the left side of the page... bet they are losing sales over this).
3. Will it annoy the audience? It autoplays, so probably will annoy unless it is done right.
4. And finally, your conversions.
Can this be done right? Oh ya, just look at the Camera Corner Connecting Point: Expo Thank You Message Landing Page here(scroll down... can't link directly): http://webouts.com/FeaturedClient.php?apid=

RE: Has anyone worked with this company? or know anything about them http://www.boostability.com/. Please give me some feedback
I see you posted this question quite awhile ago and still no responses :(.
I haven't used these guys at all myself. Looking at their site though, it is a beauty! Looks like a highly converting site!
Their seo work speaks for itself imo: http://www.boostability.com/showcase/case-studies
Their overview dispels any thoughts of black hattery (but really... they had us with that beautiful design): http://www.boostability.com/seo-services
Their testimonials are fully fleshed out and verifiable: http://www.boostability.com/showcase/testimonials
If ever I need small business SEO... I'd probably give these guys a shot!

RE: Crazy competitive link analysis, 1 - 40 - 38
This sounds like a bug!
Write down everything you can to reproduce the errors:
Brower version, operating system, steps to reproduce the error etc.
This will help SEOMoz to find and fix the bug!

RE: You've recently updated your brand rules. We're fetching your new data, and we should have it ready for you within the hour.
I get this as well. Curious of the answer.
It should be noted that it is a new site and gets no traffic (i have been assuming this was the cause).

RE: 301'ing domain to an addon domain

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} \maindomain.com$

RE: 301'ing domain to an addon domain
that works close... how can I redirect
www.maindomain.com/somepage/ -->www.addondomain.com ?
as opposed to the current:
www.maindomain.com/somepage/ -->www.addondomain.com/somepage/
