Will Adding Publish Date at end of Page Title for Blog posts Hurt SEO?
Having a date in the URL is effective so long as the SEO friendly structure takes place before the date exactly how you mentioned "/dangers-of-sharing-KM-knowledge-01-11-15". If you change the order you run the risk of priority keywords being ignored "/**01-11-15-**dangers-of-sharing-KM-knowledge" . Also try to keep the URL short as the browser and Google will truncate the URL if it is too long which will defeat the purpose of it being visible for users. Will it hurt your SEO? ... no way, so long as you are not updating the URL when you update the page. On a second note, the same does not apply for your titles as this is valuable real estate for primary keywords. IDEAL : Your Primary Key Phrase | Your Secondary Key Phrase | Your Tertiary Key Phrase IF YOU HAVE TO: Your Primary Key Phrase | Your Secondary Key Phrase - Your Company Name **NEVER : **Your Primary Key Phrase | Your Secondary Key Phrase - **01-11-15 ** Reason: The main reason we do not add it to the end of the title is because that space should be used for Keywords that best describe your page only. Even when it comes to you brand, I would rather replace the company name with a keyword if I can as Google in most cases already knows who you are.

Weird Page switch for a keyword in Google Rankings
This does happen. Did any of your competitors also shuffle at that time? As long as you aren't doing anything wrong then it should be ok. You might want to look at your internal linking and links pointing to both pages that makes Google think that that page is more relevant. You could focus a little bit more on the page you want. It should return soon. Ive experienced this before about 8 times this year already. The good page always comes back.

Google not pulling correct Meta Description
If you have an H2 on your page, maybe try to include same or highly similar wording in your meta description and try to avoid any sentences where relevant words to that page (or synonyms of such words) are not found on your page. I have tried with my own site in past and it has worked. No statistical evidence beyond what worked for my own site, but consider giving it a shot.

Identifying members on Twitter
Hi there! Last time I checked, Twitter didn't have an open API to allow people to search by email addresses. I guess they see this as a potential privacy / spam issue. That means that tools such as Followerwonk aren't able to build the feature you're after. So I think you may be out of luck on this occasion. Perhaps a solution would be to email each of the organisations and invite them to follow you on Twitter? Kind Regards, Andrew

How to fix Yahoo/Bing Ranking with hurting great Google ranking
Hi inhouseninja, To be straight what I experienced over such same situation is that Bing/Yahoo really works slow to consider newer website pages or new changes in the domain to get indexed or ranking in their SERP listings. Best, Teginder

Updating Meta Tag error quickly besides submit to index in Webmaster Tools
That is a great question. We have a very active site we added some new info into meta desc about 8weeks ago. One search (not a very large # search on that phrase) still has the old info while all others have new. I believe it is due to # of servers, etc. with Google.

Thoughts on Visitor Tracking
I would say it's just different than Google Analytics. GA (as you know) allows you to really analyze your data, identify trends, etc. Visitor Track pretty much gives you a list of who visited your site, the keywords they used, which pages they viewed, etc. It has some reporting capabilities, but nothing like what GA has. Visitor Track is almost more of a sales tool, so you can see which companies are visiting your site. Then you can try to go after that business (but again, you have no idea who at the company was on your site - it could be an intern or it could be the CEO). I've really just started looking at alternatives. Marketo has some really neat tools, but they're part of a larger lead management suite. Here are some others - I haven't looked in depth at any of these yet, so let me know if you find anything out! http://seorchers.com/track-website-visitors/ http://www.visistat.com/

Improve CTR with Special Characters in Meta-Description / Title Tags
I'm interested to know if there's any new insight on this, as I'm tempted to use a special character as it is the literal brand name of the company. My intention is to prepend the company name with the symbol but I'm concerned it may come across as unprofessional and be a poor reflection of the brand.

Page Shaping - No Follow Links
Mj Taylor is correct to say you can use it to funnel page rank, because it uses page rank link every other link, it just ddoes not pass it the linking page. You can still use it for other reasons.

Site links in the footer template – still good for SEO?
Essentially Google only really gives any real weight to the first link on the page anyway, so by the time you get down there, it will be of miniscule benefit. I would suggest you concentrate on a few good anchor links in the body of the page and not worry about the footer for anything SEO related

Question on Links from Directories…
Here is the question you posted: Just because the link is picked up by OSE does that mean that the search engines value it too? The answer is very simple: no. However, there is a relationship between the OSE data and Google data. This relationship is not causation. It's correlation. This doens't mean that if you have a link picked up by OSE it will necessarily be picked up by Google. It means that links that tend to be picked up by OSE also tend to be picked up by Google. I hope this helps!

Inbound links – does the traffic matter at all??
To clarify - It's a popularity thing to me. It's not directly related to overall traffic, but if a site gets more traffic, it's going to be talked about more, linked to more, etc, which increases SEO. That's what I was getting at. Guess I didn't make that clear

Getting a link from a page on a site with high site DA but low PA?
I completely agree and yes this is just my opinion however I am concerned that for example .gov sites etc are the exception and not the rule. I think if you were deciding wether to have a link from a .gov or .edu site then yes it would be beneficial however if it is just a 'trustworthy' domain the impact would depend on far more factors (topical) than simply the trust that the domain holds.
