Competitive Domain Analysis Observation
The domain authority may be high, but the page authority is usually fairly low. The search engines are wise to people creating thin content on sites with a high domain authority, and they realize that anyone is able to create a site on wordpress.com and take that into account.

SEO strategy recommendations?
What about link building I have been using opensiteexplorer to see what the sites in the top10 results for my targetted search phrase of 'accountants swansea' are listed on and have submitted to some of these directories although not the paid ones which many seem to have done .But so far I have only built links coming in to the homepage, should I also look and building links to this internal page also with the link anchor if possible being 'accountants swansea'? Along with directories I would be interested in hearing experts views on link building opportunities for a local accountant - creating widgets etc would not be viable as we dont have the resources to build such tools, articles again would be limited mainly to to time and resourcing constraints. Any other suggestions that would give the strategy the edge over the current top 10, many of which I am at a loss to explain how they are currently above me in the results - so again if any one can enlighten me I would be very interested in your thoughts

Local Search Citations
I would be curious as to why you believe: "The reason being is that it can only be the local citations that is causing the following listing...to be rated above...," the other? First, your query term for the first link is: chartered accountants Swansea If you look at DRP (first link - Google Places), the categories they have chosen up to the continue... are: all accounting categories. When you look at Harris Basset the first category is accountant, and the next two are financial consultant and payroll... This does cause a problem. When you look at DRP, there address is ...Swansea Enterprise Park, Swansea, whereas HarrisBasset is ...Enterprise Park, Swansea, West Glamorgen... Also, you state the others have not claimed their places account yet the one you show, DRP, clearly states it is an owner verified listing. But, even more telling is that there are 3 citations on the Harris Basset Places page that all took place in two days. Is the company you paid to do the reviews the same one that stated the ludicrous assumption about local citation? Click on the names on each of the reviews and you will see that each reviewer posted two reviews to companies....The same two companies. If a lowly SEO guy can figure it out, trust me, the GOOGLE can. Even if only Swansea is chosen for a probability test, what is the likelihood that three reviewers for one company would have only two reviews each and that the second review was for the same second company? When you add in that the time frame of all six reviews is less than 3 weeks and that the second company was a window and conservatory company (really, they did not know each other but all three purchased windows within a week of one another and then, purchased accounting within 24 hours of one another). So, you may need a real SEO team to handle your local representation. There are white hat ways to get citations from real Harris Basset clients (assuming HB has clients that are happy of course) posted on Places and other sites. Even with those methods, I never allow my team to have immediate posts one after the other for a client site. It is just too likely to cause an alert in my opinion. I could go on and on about how these reviews were written but it would be overkill. Sorry to beat that long dead horse, but this is stuff that I see every day. Work on getting the real clients to review over a period of time and clean up the categories. All the best,

Google Places ranking not making sense
About 2 weeks ago - just not making sense as I have followed every guide on how to improve the local search ranking and nothing seems to be working, coupled with the fact that the listings that are appearing at the top are just basic listings some of which have not even been claimed! For me ot seems that the main ranking factor when it comes to local search is the TITLE tag on your sites homepage coupled with the onpage text if this contains the keyword you are searching on then they appear first in the local listings - Reviews, Offers, Claimed listings, Photos etc mean very little in the Google ranking system for local If I am wrong I would be interested to hear what I have missed on my local places listing to get it in the top 3 local search results for Chartered Accountant Swansea Accountants Swansea

Bing - how come we are not shown in listing?
From the standpoint of Bing not indexing all pages my first guess would be poor internal linking and then insure you have a good site map. One of the biggest errors I see when we have a problem is that we have not paid close enough attention to our internal linking. Hope it helps. Had to go look again. From what I see the only link to Conservatories Llanelli is in the footer. This may be where your problem is as it appears the others all have other links. Try putting a link from one of the other areas on the page and see what affect it has.

Google Places weblink advice
From the horses mouth so to speak: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/give-each-store-a-url/ If it was for a business with just a few locations, I would have a locations page with details for all on one page, neatly sectioned out, or if there's quite a few locations I would split them off onto individual pages. Also worth noting to ensure that Google Places doesn't have any duplicate listings for the locations: http://www.google.com/support/places/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=183009 Hope that helps

Google Places - Local Search - Not ranking when 100% complete?
Thanks but with regard to the proximity to the city centre if you google 'chartered accountants swansea' you will see that the 2nd google places listing 'drpaccountants' are located way out of the city centre and they have no photos, reviews etc Where as on my listing it has a 100% completed profile http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&georestrict=input_srcid:492b90c33bfcc2ab What else needs to be done apart from getting reviews? I have added lots of local citations to the likes of Yelp, Qype, Hotfrog etc but none are showing under the listing on google places? Also is there a reason why the description field is not being populated in the google places account? The other issue is under the dashboard it displays 0 impressions and 0 actions is this normal?

Duplicate content on homepage?
Yes, not forgetting the quotes around the URL. I would still add one, but there are others who wouldn't. Site stuck on 2nd page on Google - how can it improve?
Hi Dan Ran the report and its as I thought My site has better rankings across the board than 6 of the top 10 results? For example on page optimisation analysis is graded A and there is only one other A grade in the top 10 FB shares - we have none but only 3 of the top 10 have 1 FB share each, while we are the only one with a Google Buzz share. We have the 4th best domain authority and mozrank, 3rd best moztrust Linking c and root domains we are 5th best and 4th best page authority We have been building links the past 2 weeks but these dont seem to be showing in the report as on exact anchor text links we have 0 when we should have several. BTW out of the top 10 8 out of the 10 have 0 for this metric Does it take time for the links we have built to show in this report?
