I have noticed that my rankings for broad terms have dramatically improved in the area I service. But, when I put the broad term in my search query with a geo-modifier I notice I am still not ranking even though my domain authority and page authority is higher than the competitor who is ranking. Why might this be? I am not penalized, or have a manual action. I am also featured in more hyperlocal niche directories.

I am confused because nofollow and noindex have always been detectable in the past with live sites. Is this new?

How am I suppose to go around this since I don't want to launch a beta site with tons of errors which could hurt the SEO?

We are launching a new site and before we do we wanted to run a crawl but unfortunately no diagnosis came back. The beta site is not password protected. It does have noindex,nofollow but it shouldn't matter. So I am not sure why nothing has been detected?

After noticing that all Google business(known in the past as google places) traffic gets recorded into direct traffic I would like to get this into organic traffic instead. What is the best method to do so?

I found this great post http://moz.com/blog/tracking-traffic-from-google-places-in-google-analytics by Rebecca Lehmann but was written in 2011. Are these method the only one available to track this traffic or is there a new method we could try that would track all this traffic into organic search?

Didn't create it on my own, paid search team did it. The call tracking service is if by phone. Should i use another service or we're good.

We used to have a proxy URL for our paid search campaigns and we just transferred all of that into the main domain(that ranks organically). Since we were using phone numbers swapping for paid search, I am afraid that it will harm our organic local results as I am seeing phone number swapping.

Can the bots distinguish a swap number and a real phone number or will it impact our local SEO results( because of an inconsistent phone number)?

I am doing an seo audit and one of the components of crawlability in the audit template I have is: "Disable Cookies/Make Googlebot user agent", I am not quite sure why cookies could harm your SEO?

Can someone explain me what problems can arise because of cookies? Does it prevent bots to crawl your website like .js on your nav?

I am about to send a reconsideration letter and still finalizing my disavow file. The format of the disavow is

Domain:badlink.com (stripping out to the root domain)

but what about those toxic links that are located in tumblr such as: badlink.tumblr.com? The issue is that there are good tumblr links we got so I don't want to add just tumblr.com so do you guys think I will have issues submitting badlink.tumblr.com and not tumblr.com?

After adding 3 new pages to example.com, when generating the xml sitemap,  Iwasn't able to locate those 3 new url. This is the first time it is happening. I have checked the meta tags of these pages and they are fine. No meta robots setup!

Any thoughts or idea why this is happening? how to fix this?

First off thank you guys for responding.

After further analysis, I got hit by the Impact links penalty( which affects links that point to your domain) . So far it's been 3 weeks and I have seen a slight drop in organic traffic( about 10%) where few particular query lost rankings.

My concern is that I was able to detect some real shady links (link network) around 200 which I never created such as: http://gasolinereinbows.tumblr.com/. Because those represents the worst links ever, I tried to find contact info of these websites and of course no information was found.  So at this point I am thinking to disavow them but this article http://www.e2msolutions.com/blog/google-penalized-dont-disavow-your-links/ says I shouldn't especially for the Impact links type of penalty. So I don't know what to do? Any thoughts on how should I tackle this?

This is probably a penguin Penalty. What is clear is I have to find the best and most efficient way to tackle this issue. We will probably lose tons of traffic in the next couple of weeks so I would like to get the best suggestions and maybe a guideline on how to do this in the most effective way!
