Pinterist links no follow or followed?
Adding to the other responses - yea they are nofollow, but remember that pinterest is MASSIVE at the moment, so any social interaction is good from this end. I wouldn't be bothered about the type of link, try and get traffic moving to your site from pins!

How to move domain content w Penguin Penalty?
If you're trying to completely remove the domain, Anthony's suggestion about using Google's URL removal tool is the quickest way to go. You'll first want to block crawler access in your robots.txt, then choose the option to "remove directory" in webmaster tools. http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1663427 (Note: robots.txt by itself DOES NOT prevent Google from indexing your pages, it only blocks them from crawling. Using only robots.txt means your pages are likely to stay in the index for quite some time) That takes care of Google. Bing's process isn't quite as smooth. I'd also throw a meta robots "NOINDEX, FOLLOW" tag on all your pages - this will help with other search engines as well. You may want to include a message on your old site instructing visitors to update their bookmarks and links - this may help aid with the transition. Keep in mind, this will severe all links from your old domain, and none of your built up link equity will transfer over. Obviously, you've given this some thought in order to take such a move. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Google Algo Update In Que. What consititues over optimization?
I dont think there is such a thing as "perfect SEO" (or perfect anything), I did a little research on this because it got me a bit nervous... I found this article http://www.webconfs.com/over-optimization-article-8.php... Last time Google was hinting a change to its algo's Panda kicked some sites. I wouldn't underestimate Googles "Hints"... The article I mentioned explains the differences between overstuffing keywords and keeping it clean. Keeping a keyword to content ratio of 3-7% should keep you in the "safe" SEO area (for now).

Youtube no follow now! =( Any good PR Replacements?
Hey Erick, The new YouTube profile structure is a pain in the ass - unfortunately it's now "nofollow" across the board, which comes as no surprise (as so many people were spamming it), but nonetheless prevents you from passing Pagerank off the back of a popular channel. I'm afraid that I don't think there's an easy solution or alternative easy to game site that will provide the same value, so contrite as it is to say, I think we're back to the "build great content" manifesto in order to generate the same high quality followed links. The list Charles gives away there is unfortunately redundant in the main, as it's from several years ago and most of those sites are now unrecognisably different. There are some video submission sites out there, but none of those are going to be a replacement for the YouTube profile link strategy, which was extremely easy to game and at huge scale. However, there is a new thing you can do to get value out of YouTube and that is getting "as seen on" attribution (which is a link to a blog where the video has been featured - visible in the bottom right of any video). Find videos with thousands/millions of views that currently don't have an "as seen on" attribution and embed them on a high authority blog with supporting text. You'll then get the "as seen on" attribution, which is a followed link through a 303 redirect - so probably doesn't pass any Pagerank - but is still a referring link, which can be valuable if you scale it up significantly. Hope that's useful. Cheers, Phil

Cloud Hostings & SEO Effects
Hi Searchpl, "Standard hosting" consist of stand alone servers well cloud hosting service is provided by one or more servers which are in the same infrastructure. So in a since these two hosting services are pretty much the same except for resources available and still house multiple websites under one IP. So basically, yes you are still sharing the same IP address as other websites which can cause some issues with your site if other sites are spamming or infected with viruses. You can still have "cloud hosting" and have your own IP address, which would consist of virtual private servers (VPS) or straight Dedicated servers. This will allow your site to run off of your own server and IP. There are many pluses with using a VPS or dedicated server such as: server with dedicated resources (since its a cloud, you'll have multiple servers/resources that can adjust to server load (traffic) when needed so your site will hardly slow down on huge traffic spikes. Own IP Hopes this helps (hope i explained it clearly), and let me know if you have any other questions.

Should product searches (on site searches) be noindex?
To me it sounds more like domain authority issue, lack of deep links, aged deep links. Gain them as natural as possible, over a period of time. Diversify your link profile. Your competition, those are on page 1, 2, are those in the 400 total root domains range. Again, just the root domains is not the criteria, as the age of the pages, deep links, anchor text, diversity of the links, age of those links all contribute. You can test, but I am guessing blocking the search result URLs might not do enough. But this would be an interesting test. I would be curious to know what happens. Again, there might be algorithm updates that happen concurrently that could impact the actual test, but you could get a relative idea based on the dates when you block those pages both via a noindex and a disallow. Let me know. Feel free to touch base via the QA or via email about this.

Link to those that link to you? Worthwhile?
Has anyone experimented with linking to the pages that link to you (not from your site) but from other means in an effort to boost their quality? What benefit does this activity have for users? None. When you focus your efforts on activities that do not offer any benefit to users, but instead the primary focus is to manipulate search results, it is called Black Hat SEO. This activity is establishing a link network. Search engines such as Google are very aware of this method and, when you are caught, your site will receive a penalty. I would recommend focusing your time and effort on activities which benefit visitors.

Penalties for site going down often?
Does the server return a 503 not available when it goes down at least? Or is it somehow set to show a 404? You want to make sure it's showing a 503 to the bots so they know the server is down and not that the pages have been removed.
