Sorry, google is that way, it shows the title and the description thinks is best.
Take a look at a question I've asked a few weeks ago:

RE: Google Gives me different results
Hi there,
having the 301 with the www to the non-www does not imply that titles and descriptions in the snippet will be the one you set.
Google chooses what ever is the most fitting data to fill the serp snippet. I'd advise you to check how does your site appears in a actual serp.
Also, remember the title, meta descriptions and many other meta tags are signals. Some stronger than other, but signals any way. Google will set want it's best in it's way of analyzing this stuff.
Of course, it does not mean that we shouldn't care about those meta tags. They are very important and must be written with care.
Hope it helps.

RE: 301 redirect to URL plus anchor tag???
Hi there,
On one hand, If the content on both landing pages, you **must **set up the 301. Because you are having duplicate content.
On the other hand, keeping all your landing pages in a very long landing page.. I don't see that's a good idea.
even though you are differentiating with #keyword that is not taken as a different URL.Let me explain a little more:
site.com/product/car1
site.com/product/car2
These two are different pages. Google takes them as different pages and are very suitable to rank for different keywords.site.com/product#car1
site.com/product#car2
These two are the same page. The rankeable capacacity to rank on both keywords is diminished. Is it clear?

RE: Should you use google url remover if older indexed pages are still being kept?
Just to clarify: Did check that there are no duplicate URL problems? Such as www and non-www.
In case that you've checked and everything is correct. Then, you're on the right path, I hope: Only 5pages with results, that makes 60 URL in SERPs.
Those that are only cached, will be gone.Hope it helps.

RE: Should you use google url remover if older indexed pages are still being kept?
Hi there!
How long ago did the redesign take place?
All those pages that you want to be unindexed show any content? In my experience, it took about 4 weeks to desapear from the index. But to get the pages taken down, those should be a 404.

RE: Free blog post still good for SEO
Hi there.
The effect on linkbuilding is diminished. With the proper care and a lot of precautions the links coming from free blogs still impact positively.
Of course, the trick is not simply done by creating a blogspot or a WordPress with a few articles and some links. I insist that priced care should be taken in consideration.
Hope it helps.

Ha! I've never imagined that.
Thanks for the reply! -
MOZ Bar recognizes a link as No-Followed even when there's no evidence of nofollow nor external tag
Hi!
I've seen that the Moz bar recognizes some links as NoFollowed, even when technically are followed.
One example of that is this page:https://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonTraining
I've attached an image to clarify.
The link is just: <a class="https" <span="">href="https://rmotr.com"> there is no evidence of no following tag (such as external, nofollow, etc). Thanks!

RE: How long to re-index a page after being blocked
Hi Andy,
In my experience, it took from a day to roughly 5-6 weeks. All of them just naturally re-indexed, I didn't use any gas indexer nor adding them with the search console add to index tool.
Hope it helps.

RE: Heading Tags (Specifically H2) being used within images
Hi there.
Why are you willing to add h2 tags? I its on seo purposes, add them as a REAL HEADING. Not has images.
My way of analyzing these kind of questions is asking how would Google interpret that action. I don't find any logical explanation to put an image in a heading tag.
Personally, I will not do that. But, someone might have it done and can offer a positive effect.
Best luck.

RE: Meta Descriptions - Google ignores what we have
Hi Becky,
Of course it's worth writing a good meta description. Google takes what thinks it's important in the search of any term.
In my case I've a web appearing with different description when it's searched by different query.
My advise: create a meta description that is the most accurate possible with the page and the query your targeting.
Hope it helps.

RE: SITEMAP - Does <changefreq>and <image:title>have any apreciable effect?</image:title></changefreq>
Hi Shawn,
Well, i've read those resources. I couldnt find any clue about whether the impact on SERPs or in any case those tags would help.
Have you used them? Do you find them useful?
GR.
PS: thanks for the response -
SITEMAP - Does <changefreq>and <image:title>have any apreciable effect?</image:title></changefreq>
Hi everyone.
It was hard to find some actual evidence that some of the atributes to be declared in a sitemap have some real impact.
Particularly, im interested in these two: <changefreq></changefreq> and**image:title</image:title>**I've used them in a few cases just to check their effect and couldnt see any.
Do you have any experience with these? Or any other atribute that might be helpful, in order to create a more accurate and effective sitemap? Also, this could be a great topic to create a new Moz Blog post, the one about sitemap is 8years old.

RE: Links
Hi Rob.
Long story, short? Yes, they do impact possitevely in your SERPS.
I agree with Bas.
My personal advise: mantein the diversity in every aspect. Google is able to find out whether you are trying to manipulate the SERPs. And ALWAYS, think the linkbuilding strategy as making it look natural and organic.Hope it helps.

RE: Instructables site - follow and nofollow
Hi Alex!
I'd believe that they have some sort of rule just like Moz. The NoFollow tag will be gone after some ranking you should overcome.
Just on a quick look i've found 3 articles that have NoFollow external links
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-StormTrooper-Helmet/step2/Finding-a-Template/
http://www.instructables.com/id/Compliant-Prosthetic-Hand-With-Sensorimotor-Contro/
http://www.instructables.com/id/Bicycle-Picknick-Box/step8/Attatchment-to-the-bicycle/Also, many others with follow links.
Keep in mind that sites that get lot of articles, know about SEO, and dont want to be used and get their authority stolen.Hope it helps.

RE: How can I make a list of all URLs indexed by Google?
Im sorry to confirm you that google does not want to everyine know that they have in their index. We as SEOs complain about that.
Its hard to belive that you couldnt get all your pages with a scraper. (because it just searches and gets the SERPS)
-
RE: How can I make a list of all URLs indexed by Google?
Well, There are some scrapers that might do that job.
To do it the right way you will need proxies and a scraper.
My recommendation is Gscraper or Scrapebox and a list of (at list) 10 proxies. Then, just make a scrape whit the "site:mydomain.com" and see what you get.
(before buying proxies or any scraper, check if you get something like you want with the free stuff) -
RE: How can I make a list of all URLs indexed by Google?
Hi Sverre,
Have you tried Screaming Frog SEO Spider? Here a link to it: https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/
It's really helpfull to crawl all the pages you have as accesible for spiders. You might need the premium version to crawl over 500 pages.
Also, have you checked for the common duplicate pages issues? Here a Moz tutorial: https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content
Hope it helps.
