no, dont no index, if you do you will lose all link juice flowing into those pages. first choice dont do anything, there is no penalty, the duplicate at worst will be ignored. if you want to make sure your home page is not seen as the duplicate use a canonical tag. if you ever no index a page, dont do it with robots, but if for some reason you have to, use a neta tag "noindex, follow" so link juice can be returned. But i find very few occasions when you should no index.

In short, don't worry about competitors hitting you with bad links unless you are using questionable link-building practices and bad content.

Hi! Unfortunately there is only one layout for Facebook business pages now and it's the timeline format. I would use your Facebook page to help you rank for your name and branded terms and to grow your community, get your content out, etc. However, I wouldn't specifically focus the page for ranking for other terms. For SEOmoz we've gone back and started adding milestones from the company's past to the timeline which shows a fuller picture of the company as a whole. I also like the fact that you can pin a post to stay at the top of the page which will help if you run ads and point to your page. Hope this helps a bit. Jen

Yes, I'm the same way.  If I am passionate about something then I will usually do it myself.  Although, it may not always be the best way to go about it, because sometimes it ends up pushing the higher priority things I should be attentive to behind. Unfortunately for us passion doesn't always = priority

These domains can be very difficult to beat. I currently have an entire website of information that includes articles, videos, products, printable resources and more, yet some thin content on a guide page of About.com and a product page on Amazon are above me.  My site is way better than what they have in every possible way. Domain authority is hard to beat.
