• they all need to redirect to a singular homepage, I recommend www.aplusmidlandstorage.com

• make your internal links point to this singular version of the homepage

• you may want to use a canonical tag just to be safe.

That ought to be a good start

PS - also, get your brand name at the end of every title tag and keyword in front (keep to 70 characters or less still)

Apologize, misread your first question. I do not know for a fact, but the original webmaster tools article says "site speed" in several places (not "page" speed) so I would assume the average speed of the entire site.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to send individual pages to the corresponding new ones on the new site.

But a really crude way to just point an entire old domain at a new one is to use "domain forwarding" - you'll set this up with whoever you manage the domain name with.

I've known the webmaster tools data on this to be shaky at best.

I would recommend installing the simple one line tracking code for analytics to track page load time. This is a much more accurate and useful way to see how its going: http://analytics.blogspot.com/2011/05/measure-page-load-time-with-site-speed.html

I'd also use Page Speed for Chrome to test your site and get recommendations.

I would agree with James and say put a description tag. In addition to what he says, remember that Google choose what text to display in the description based upon the words in the query. So if the query matches something more relevant to a recent article, they will likely ignore your description tag and show a snippet of the article instead.

Usually don't post my own stuff here, but I think this resource is pretty useful. I put together a giant list of rank checkers with the help of the SEO community. There's more in the comments too, with a basic list of pricing and features for all of them. I have honestly still not settled on a more robust one yet for the type of volume you're asking about, but I hope this helps!

Right, you want to look for "nofollow" in the <a>portion of the code. The SEOmoz Toolbar makes it really easy to find them without having to look at source code.</a>

<a>No matter the tactic (link exchange, blog commenting, directories etc etc) - simply ask; does the link make sense to be there from the user's point of you? If you link out to a valuable site who happens to link back to you, that is a "link exchange" but it happens in a valuable organic sort of way. Its the result of a mutually beneficial human relationship.</a>

If you can see the links on the websites where you are getting them, they are there. Further, check to see if they are followed or not (the SEOmoz toolbar is an easy way to do this).

The sources above which you mentioned (Open Site Explorer, the link: operator and even Webmaster Tools) are ALL at times incomplete, and not instantly up to date either. OSE can take 30 days to show links.

A canonical is kind of like a last resort if a redirect can't be used - and best applies to handling campaign URL parameters and session IDs etc. You really ought to redirect all possible variations of the homepage to one singular URL no matter what. This way people will only link to one version of it (or at least be more likely to).

Few things;

• Still says Copyright 2011
• Your Analytics Code should be BEFORE the closing head tag, not after
• Your homepage loads as a duplicate at http://www.profitness-supplies.com/index.php - this should redirect back to the normal homepage address
• http://www.profitness-supplies.com/index.html should also redirect to the homepage
• You may want to add the FaceBook open graph tags to the head of every page (helps when people click like button)
• You're disallowing a lot of user pages with robots.txt but this should really be done with the robots meta tag only (which I see you are doing)
• The square links on the homepage are only on the images, but you may want to include the anchor text in the <a>links to get some anchor text relevance. </a>

It is to control the flow of link juice. Since they can not control the questions coming in (order, frequency, topic etc), they chose to only follow the links that are static which appear in the menu on the left. This focuses link juice exactly where they want it. Also, the links within the Q&A's coming in get doubled or tripled up, and this is unnecessary link juice as well. Hope that makes sense and helps!

You need to 301 redirect old URLs to the corresponding new ones. You typically do this with a few lines of code in the .htaccess file.

This article is the best for info on how to do this.

Thus my last sentence: A switch to wordpress (and I recommend Yoast's SEO for wordpress plugin) would fix all of this - but it has to be done right, by someone who knows what they're doing technically.

I agree that any platform is only as good as the person who builds it/works with it. Just think that assuming the dev is good, WordPress is generally the way to go for a site his size.

Let me answer the tables question first - a CSS layout does provide cleaner code, thus can help SEO a bit. But the main concern is not so much about tables, its that I imagine you're NOT on a CMS (content management system) like WordPress.  A CMS would make it easier to update your content, add additional pages or content like a blog etc. That's why I would vote for a new site, built in WordPress.

Ok, onto the page rank issue. First, do know that page rank is nice to know, but don't obsess about it. Focus more on rankings->traffic->conversions.

Anyhow, I think its a 1 now because you're website can load any of the following ways;

• starplusservices.com
• starplusservices.com/index.html
• www.starplusseervices.com
• www.starplusservices.com/index.html

This was probably not the case before, but now all of your incoming links are being diluted across multiple ways of accessing your homepage. Whatever version of your website used to load by default, all versions of the homepage should redirect back to that.

You also don't need the keywords meta tag anymore.

A switch to wordpress (and I recommend Yoast's SEO for wordpress plugin) would fix all of this - but it has to be done right, by someone who knows what they're doing technically.

To my knowledge, outbound links do not cancel inbound links. They will flow PR if they're followed (which takes PR away from internal links, but this is not of worry. Look at all the best sites on the net, they ALL use outbound links!)

Its best to think of this based upon the engines and users.

Engines - there has actually been a very slight positive correlation shown between rankings and outbound links. Also, link out to sites that are similar in content to yours. Don't sell links of course, and don't go WAY overboard with outbounds.

Users - Link externally for users. Add outbound links based upon user value. Its that simple. And think about the "karma" too... if its a blogger who you genuinely like, you're building a relationship with them, and these relationships can provide great value in the future.

Those, to my knowledge, are only the pages which received impressions (appeared in Google search results) and only for the last month. This is not the number of pages Google has indexed.

Using the site: command like you mentioned is the best way to get the number of pages indexed. Also, if you've submitted an XML sitemap to webmaster tools and you know its complete, WMT will tell you how many pages out of your sitemap are has indexed.
