RE: Google Panda & Effects On Affiliate Sites
Google's affiliate program is done through their custom links which then redirect, which means they're all no-follow links. With Panda, Google's basically saying that everyone's going to be no-follow from here on out for all affiliate programs, even if they have built in no-follows or redirects that are already not passing link juice.

RE: Accessing the wednesday webinar series
They aren't yet. But should be this week. I've assigned this question to Abe, who's our Helpster that's in charge of uploading them. He'll let you know when they are.

RE: Any Good Email Marketing companies - CPA ?
Hi Gareth,
Most email companies function on a monthly fee, which then is factored in how many emails you send per month through them. Many companies choose to separate out their transactional emails and their marketing emails to keep costs down.
Some great ESPs out there: MailChimp, My Emma, Blue Hornet, StrongView, and Marketo, just to name a few.

RE: Ranking fluctuations from week to week
It would be great if you could leave your site URL and some examples of what you're looking to rank for so we could dig in.
Did you do any recent changes to your site that may account for ranking changes?

RE: Slowly recovering from algorithm penalty
It'd be super helpful if you could share your site URL, then our community can get even more specific with answers.

RE: How Does Google Treat Scapper Sites?
If you're worried about scraper sites--at Moz, there are a ton of sites scraping our blog content, for example--I strongly recommend implementing the rel=canonical tag on your site. Often scrapers grab the entire HTML of your page, and thus, they will grab rel=canonical, which will signal back to search engines that your content is the original content.

RE: Ranking fluctuations from week to week
So I want to suggest checking out the webinar we had yesterday on speeding up your website.
I also wanted to address your comment about your crawlers and localized rankings possibly messing up your rankings. This is not the case. The crawler that looks at your site in Moz Analytics is different from our rankings crawlers. They do not connect. They do not influence rankings as the bots only record the information in the SERPs based on your keywords; they don't click into your site. Does that make sense?

RE: Can anyone recommend an SEO agency that leverages Moz results?
While we don't keep a list of those who use our tools, we do have a recommended list of agencies that we trust to do great work.

RE: Looking for a Link Building Strategy
Highly recommend against using lists like these. They are likely low-quality, bad, or spammy places to put links. This is exactly how sites get hit with Penguin penalties.

RE: Seo for design webinar ?
If you're making your image as a true background image, you won't be able to make it clickable. However, if you input the image as a regular image, you can put a link around both the image and the text, and it will all be clickable. You can overlay text on regular images using CSS positioning and z-index.

RE: What is the best practice for h1 titles for products inside categories? long tail or short tail?
You should always think about what your customers are looking for and how they are interpreting the page. "Purple Puma Running Shoes" tells me a lot more about what the actual product is "shoes" specifically for "running" than a brand name.
In other news, I now want some Purple Puma Running Shoes.

RE: Submitting pages to google to expidite them finding links to my site
We've also seen links posted in G+ getting crawled more quickly. Not fool proof or guaranteed (or something you should do with a ton of links), but certainly an easy thing for a one-off page you want crawled quickly.

RE: Interlinking using Dynamic URLs Versus Static URLs
To answer your questions, no, it will not improve your rankings. No, it's unlikely to harm it either if implemented correctly.
But the better question is why? Why are you linking to pages in three different sections of your site on every page? What is that doing for the people who are using your site? How is that navigation helping them find what they need on your site? Are people clicking on this links? If so, where are they clicking on them from? If they never click on them from a certain part -- navigation, footer, and sidebar -- why are those links still there?

RE: URL Parameters for Product Variation
Google ignores anything after the ? when it comes to indexing so you should be fine with your testing.

RE: Adding large facebook like box
Are you just grabbing Facebook's code? Or are you using a Joomla-specific plug-in?

RE: Do 301s still work after hosting is discontinued?
If you're 301 redirecting site A to site B, if you quit paying for or sell hosting/domain for site A, then the 301s will cease to work.
