Hi Bob - no worries at all! I will definitely be asking more SEO guestions! But thanks for your response once again
Dirk, Brilliant - that worked
Omg your a life saver! Thanks so much for fixing this for me! I had no idea what relative was until you mentioned it! Learning everyday from you ! Thanks so much I'm really grateful!
Hi Dirk
I must of just missed your post -
I updated it now as per what you were saying
The post is now zenory.co.nz/blog/phone-psychic-reading 301/ to zenory.com/phone-psychic-readings. The problem I'm facing as you can see from this scenario - if you went to https://www.zenory.com.au/blog/page/4/ which is the com.au your still on the blog - if you click on the old Phone Psyhic Readings listing - it will take you to zenory.co.nz/phone-psychic-readings (because that is the domain name i have se the 301 redirect too) but for the purpose of stopping the banks links that are crossing each domain - perhaps I'm doing this incorrectly?
Hope I'm making sense here!
Hi Dirk
Thanks for coming to the rescue again
Here is a screenshot I took of the admin side in WP - I created a new page on the main site for Pet Psychic Readings https://www.zenory.com/pet-psychic-readings - I moved this post from the blog (zenory.com/blog/pet-psychic-readings) and entered a 301 redirect to https://www.zenory.com/pet-psychic-readings - however when I go back to the blog post https://www.zenory.co.nz/blog/category/pets-animals/ (as you can see im on the co.nz - when I click on the article it redirects to the com - and this is because I have set it to go to the .com - but should this not go to the co.nz? Im not too sure where I need to enter a 301 zenory.co.nz/pet-psychic-readings?
Here is the screen shot -
I hope I have answered your question? Let me know if I have the wrong end of the stick
Cheers again Dirk
Hey Guys
I have a custom built website - and a wp blog attached to this - problem is there are 3 top level domains:
zenory.co.nz, zenory.com and zenory.com.au
**The issue is when I enter the domain to 301 redirect I only have to enter one domain usually i enter redirect from zenory.com/blog/oldpage to zenory.com.newpage **
For eg: I have just move Phone Psychic Readings from the blog - over to the main site. However there seems to be an issue that I'm still having and trying to clean up. I'm finding backlinks there are linking to each other of my 3 domains that end up backlinking across domains, which I was told this can look as spammy to google. For eg: co.nz links many pages to com.au. I'm currently trying to clean this up at the moment - however while im in the process of this - I find myself question when I'm creating the 301 redirects from the blog - but lets say I'm on the blog for zenoy.co.nz/blog/oldblogpost and when I click on a blog post - it redirects me to zenory.com/newarticlepost - because I have redirected it to .com - how can I redirect and make sure is going back to the right domain name to save myself from having to show this cross backlinks?
Would gratefully appreciate any assistance on this tricky situation.
Cheers
Just
Thanks for your response Patrick! This has helped alot!!! So clear! Thanks for going into more details about the canonical tags - as this part was confusing! lol
Thanks I have set it to www as the preferred
With regards to the canonical tags - should I use this for ALL pages? or just the category pages? Or just pages I feel have similar content? Would it be just safe to add it to every page?
Hi Patrick
Thanks alot for your response, and sorry for my vague explanation.
Yes, you are correct - I was concerned that my staff are listed in the categories section as duplicate. Every page is going to be unique in content. Thanks for the heads up! Should I apply the canonical tag for every page? And could you please explain the non-www url? I see there is a settings in WMT that I need to apply - under the add your preferred version should I set this up to - Display URLs as http://bit.ly/1yhz96v
Hi there
How would I go about fixing duplicate categories?
My products sell in multiple category areas and some overlap the other - how can I go about making sure that I don't get penalised for this? Each category and content is unique but my advisors offer different tools and insights.
Hi Bob,
I have another question for you with regards to this:
I have just move Phone Psychic Readings from the blog - over to the main site. However there seems to be an issue that I'm still having and trying to clean up. I'm finding backlinks that are linking to each other of my 3 domains. For eg: **co.nz links many pages to com.au **

WOW thanks again Dirk, your feedback is beyond! Thanks for informing me of these changes and sending me those links!
I will work on getting the above sorted asap with my developer
Cheers for all your help!!!!
Justin
Oh wow hey Dirk, silly me! Yes thank you for that oh how embarrassing.
I had told my developer to remove this last week - seems he hadn't and I didn't bother to check it! After I remove this should all be back to normal again?
Hi Guys
I have just completely a site re-design, I have 3 top level domains.
I have no idea whats causing the drop in ranking. I have changed the title tags and meta tags to improve them and make them better, as the last ones weren't really doing us justice. But I see now it has actually dropped our main keyword. I read somewhere that i had to completed **site search **to check and I don't see our home page showing. I was ranking for the keyword: "online psychics" for over 4months at #6 and now is not showing anywhere in the top 50 keywords. I'm also affraid I can not find our other keyword "online psychic readings" which we were ranked #11 seems to have dropped to #44 I have no idea why this would be the case. Our new home page shows a better user experience and also added more content, unqiue content at that - our last design was content thin so I have no idea why we have dropped so much in rankings. The site is also new about 6months new. I have checked WMT and have not received any warnings of any penalties as such, unless it is still coming?
Does anyone have any suggestions here?
Cheers
Thanks Bob, this is great advice! Really appreciate it!!
Hi Bob
Thanks again for your help! You have been great in offering me clear and direct instructions! I just implemented my new design for zenory.com and now working on better structuring the site for SEO and making sure to write more unique relevant content while keeping everything internal and externally clean.
A question I do have - I use SEO yoast for the blog - while I posted the content from the blog post to the main site - If I left the page running live and created a 301 redirect "literally thinking" would this create duplicate content? I'm thinking from a new person who has never done this before that both pages will be published however one is treated a a 301 redirect so I'm assuming even though the page hasn't been deleted but now is using the 301 redirect this won't be seen by google as duplicates. Am I right in thinking this?
Hi Guys,
I'm doing some content auditing myself - and making sure that the content I'm writing is more in-depth. So bascially I found a few blog posts that were not actually blogs and actually could be moved to my main site content. So I went ahead and cleaned up the blog post article - I deleted it and reposted it with the new fresh content to my main site. My question is - after I deleted the post - how do I remove the blog post for the Index? Or does this just remove itself after i have deleted the post. Another question I had - after I removed the post - I was then thinking, should I have redirected traffic to the new page?
Hi Dirk
The last response was the crawl from the .com which brought up the above links
I haven't done a craw just now for the co.nz and under external I found the following
https://www.zenory.com/users/sign_in
https://www.zenory.com/sitemap
https://www.zenory.com/feedback-policy
https://www.zenory.com/psychic-readings/psychics-clairvoyants
But my questions is, what is the right way for fixing this? I'm guessing I would need to visit each page and delete the links that are linking back to these pages?
Hi Dirk
Thanks again for your help and immediate response!
I did the crawl on the .com and found a few pages under external that link to the co.nz
https://www.zenory.co.nz/blog/psychic-readings-christchurch/
https://www.zenory.co.nz/privacy
Is there a right practice to go about deleting these?
Cheers
