I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to send individual pages to the corresponding new ones on the new site. But a really crude way to just point an entire old domain at a new one is to use "domain forwarding" - you'll set this up with whoever you manage the domain name with. Explanation from GoDaddy

I understand, I didn't actually mean redirect content as such but I realise I was a little unclear in my questions. So basically I should point all 3 domains to the new one then redirect-wise, is the below correct? redirect 301 http://www.oldsite.com/some-category/article/ http://www.newsite.com/category/article

Hi, in the end I didn't go with microsites. As part of the site build we optimised the urls (using a CMS) and everything else on page we could and 301'd the old URL's to the new versions. Everything ranks as well as it did or better since lanch (4 weeks ago).
