If UGC on my site also exists elsewhere, is that bad? How should I properly handle it?
You bet Mitch! Glad to help and let me know if there's anything else I can help answer. Hopefully maybe you'll get a few other opinions as well. As I'm sure you know, that's often valuable in search with so many nuances to the SEO game. Good luck with your search efforts!

Rich-Snippets with Sitelinks. How-to?
Sitelinks are "earned" with a high quality site that communicates brand trust and where Google determines "these pages are the most visited pages". Having proper information architecture and navigational breadcrumbs (RDFa or Schema) can sometimes help because they reinforce content relationships, however they're not required to obtain sitelinks.

Resolving duplicate text issues with a duplicate image?
Google won't index image-embedded text on a webpage (currently only .pdf documents) If you want a little more insurance, which you won't really need, use your handy robot.txt or rel="canonical" As usual, keep your eyes forward: "While search engines may not use OCR for indexing the content of web pages now, that doesn’t mean that they might not in the future, and there are some indications that the search engines are developing a much greater proficiency in the use of optical character recognition." Here's that article, including some great references. Good luck.

Latest OSE Update - Strange Numbers and Links
Hey guys, The issue you are seeing is due to the new OSE update. We have done some updating with our crawler and this index represents the newest version - sadly, with a few bugs...We are looking into this issue and hope to have it resolved as soon as possible! The newest version of our crawler is built to be fresher, but it is also going much deeper into high MozRank pages. This bug has probably always existed, but has never been obvious since we weren't crawling as deep into domains where there are more download links. We are currently looking into fixing this so these won't be counted as inbound links. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience - once we get this new version of the crawler dialed and smoothed out, it will be providing you guys a much fresher and higher quality index! There is another thread regarding this topic, so check it out if you want more information on what is going on with this index. Thanks, Carin

Why does SEOMoz use Wistia? Why would you not use YouTube as well? Does Vimeo factor into the equation at all?
Phil from Distilled just weighed in on how to choose a platform for hosting video, and when you'd want YouTube versus some other options in the thread at www.seomoz.org/q/best-way-to-host-video.

Page Authority vs. Domain Authority
Yeh, linkjuice I'd say is worthless. However I'd still do them regardless of the low / no linkjuice, its just links to the site and you'll get picked up on yahoo and bing. still, and I'm sure Google will notice them and count it as something even if its only a very small amount of juice, its better than nothing.
