Impact of Japanese .jp site duplicate content?
You will face ranking issue in your .jp domain because you have duplicate content on this site as well as you are using the image from .com version. I don't think your US site ranking get hurt from because it has unique content.

Targeting high Page Authority sites vs high Pagerank sites for backlinks?
Yes, I would do so right away. DA and relatedness of a site is much more important then pagerank. You "could" use PR as a top level measure, but I would not suggest using PR as the only measure. You are definitely looking at the right information and I would change the strategy right away. I hope this helps.

How is important domain age now?
If you are able to use domains from 10 years ago with even say 10 back links I have seen them to work well in comparison to domains which are registered that day hehe But if you have a domain which is say 4 years old and it has 200 root domain links from quality sources, good content it will be better. But it is not just about the age of the domain it is more so about the age the domain has been in the index's.

Whats the most seo optimized websites?
I am guessing you are looking for sites to use as examples so you can emulate your site after them? Each site is unique for various reasons. In general I would recommend wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Sudan Things to notice: the URL is not technology dependent (i.e. no .php or .html after the page name) the URL matches the page's title the URL is a flat structure the page's title is a H1 tag and is the first content you see on the page on most wiki pages, the very first words of the wiki article is the page's title. You will also see the page's title repeated several times throughout the article, and in various forms. In this example you see "South Sudan", "Southern Sudan", etc. the wiki content uses consistent anchor text to link to other pages within the site. For example, anytime you see "landlocked country" in this wiki article, or any other one, it is a hyperlink to wiki's "landlocked country" page. There are no hidden secrets here. It is about taking all of the SEO basics found in the Beginner's Guide to SEO, then applying them consistently throughout your site, along with providing great content which is up-to-date. If you do that, you will find your website on page 1 of search results. I could also suggest the New York Times, http://www.nytimes.com/, but you cannot copy them as their methods will probably not work for you. For example, they have over 400 links on their home page. They have a DA and PA of 100, which allows them to support that many links. If you were to copy them thinking "well NYT does it and they are successful" it would simply not work for you.

Should I let Google index tags?
your are absolutely right and it's exactly what I thought. The only thing is better to do is instead of un-indexing them I'd rather set up canonical links for the tag pages if it's possible.

WordPress Rankings ?
The only thing that possibly helps with Wordpress is that it does come with plugins that you have to install by the way that automatically updates your sitemap to Google. I know a sitemap is not any significant help in ranking but it prods Google to tell them "Hi look a new page" but again as the previous posters mention this is usually just a receny bump. There are lots of other 'SEO' (deliberate italics here that make life easier for titles and descriptions. But as far as Googel cares your site is just text and if you make it attractive they will/may come back more often.

How Google finds landing page?
Google doesn't know if it's a landing page or a regular page. It just sees a 'page'. Pages have on-page optimization (for a single keyword), and off-page optimization (other pages (internal and external) that point to them with different anchor text, relevancy, and authority). The page with the highest overall score is the one Google will rank highest. If you want your landing page to rank highest then do more SEO for it than for your non-landing-page. Of course, sometimes the best landing pages are really just regular pages that are relevant and well-optimized for the phrase in question...

Nofollow link from page rank 7?
Especially if link is from relevant page even if it is no follow I wouldn't turn it away. Search engines do see all links.

Porn link ...
Sometime domains which expire are getting hijacked by this types of websites and they take cached content (it is unbelievable) and keep it on their website along with bad content. Not sure what would be the best way to protect from such situations but it would be good to know.

Fastest way to boost domain authority.
There's thousands of bloggers who write about jewelry: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=jewelry+inurl%3Ablog There's cool stuff like this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/01/20/geeky-jewelry-the-nerdies_n_429408.html http://mashable.com/2010/08/05/geek-jewelry/ Videos with hundreds of thousands of views: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=videos&search_query=jewelry&search_sort=video_view_count&suggested_categories=26%2C10%2C24 There's no niche, IMO, that's too boring or too stale for great content.

Whats the value difference in related and non related link?
Links do not have to be related to the topic of the website that is being linked to. Unfortunately, because google's exact ranking algorithm is unknown, I dont think there is a percentage difference that can be placed on the value. It would be a good idea to keep your overall unrelated links lower, as well as making sure there are no potential spam signals that can be triggered from the domain names who are linking to you.
