I launched a dental website a couple of months ago and within a month, we had incredible keyword rankings ahead of many of the competitors in the same town. We had a brand new url, brand new content and everything. So in this case, we seemed to rank well in a short amount of time. Our content was nothing special, but unique of course. I am still scratching my head to figure this one out!

RE: Is Anybody Familiar With This SEO Reporting Tool?
Yea, that's it! A bit pricey. Thanks for the "software review". Maybe I'll sit this one out.

RE: Is Anybody Familiar With This SEO Reporting Tool?
I've seen this report in 10 different place in Google and seems like it's private labeled. I tried the URL but I don't think this guy is the owner of the tool.

RE: Is Anybody Familiar With This SEO Reporting Tool?
Thanks for the info. I just want to be clear that the links I provided to the reports are just random reports I found on Google. They aren't mine. I'm just trying to find the source of that tool that was used.
I use SEO MoZ, Majestic SEO, Bright Local, SEOFrog and a few others. Seems like you need several tools to look at things in different ways.
This tool was pretty cool because it runs through your site, tells you what's wrong and how to fix it with examples. For 5 bucks, I fixed a bunch of things that the other tools wouldn't have found.
I've been meaning to check out Raven tools. Thanks for the reminder!

Is Anybody Familiar With This SEO Reporting Tool?
Just for kicks, I decided to pay 5 bucks for an SEO Report on a website I was working on for a client. Yea FIVERR.
The report was actually not too bad and I was able to clean up a bunch of stuff. Here is a link to other sites on the internet who use this tool. I would like to use it for myself so I'm trying to figure out the source of the report. Here are a few urls to the reports. Remove the two stars in the URL. I don't want to give them a backlink.

RE: Page Titles For Local - Help on URL Structure
Ok, thanks, I appreciate the suggestion. I have 17 dental websites I want to change and I would rather not do this exercise twice through all of them! I'll try this on 5-10 pages of the 35 pages I have and see what happens.

Page Titles For Local - Help on URL Structure
Trying to figure out the best way to construct localized urls for the dental website.
For example, If I have the URL:
http://www.kooskidental.com/services/cosmetic-dentistry/
and If I want to make it local to the city I would use:http://www.kooskidental.com/services/richardson-tx-cosmetic-dentistry/
But what happens is that I have other options off the menu like:
http://www.koooskidental.com/services/richardson-tx-cosmetic-dentistry/teeth-whitening/
But if I am trying to rank for richardson tx teeth whitening, I would have to do
But that's pretty long and ugly and I don't think I need richardson-tx in their twice.
If I am trying to rank for richardson tx cosmetic dentistry and richardson tx teeth whitening, what would be the best structure for the url's?

RE: Google+ Is this listing Claimed or Not?
Just to clarify I am using my clients email and password to access their Google Places account. I use a second computer for this because I hate logging out of my own gmail account on my main machine cause it closes my email and all my Google Docs that I have open.
The Google Places aspect of things seems to be working fine, except for the fact I can't upload photos. I am choosing a photo from my computer. Still getting "We were unable to store this image. I searched the web for this error and seems that others were getting this message too from time to time. I have been unable to upload photos for 3 days now. The next goal was to try to see if I can upload photos into Google+ but this is where the confusion begins
This brings me to the Google+ page issue. So I figured out that when I log in as my client and end up at the Gmail screen, I click the +You in the Google menu and it takes me to a page that says Join Google+ by creating your public profile. So apparently, there is no Google+ page under my clients login and password.
What I don't understand is that when I search for my client by name, city and state in Google, I see their listing in the SERP and I see they have 5 reviews. When I click where it says "5 Google Reviews, it goes to a page that looks like a Google+ page. And this is the imaged that I attached on my original post. When I click "Manage this page" it takes me to the Google places Dashboard (My clients, not mine)
If I click the back button on the browser and then click "Edit business details" instead of "Manage this page" it goes to the screen that has a link that says, "If you own this place, claim it and edit it directly" When I do this, a sceen comes up and says "This Listing is Unavailable" and that someone else may own it.
On one hand, it looks like the Google+ page has not been claimed, but on the other hand, it looks like it has cause Google says "This Listing is Unavailable"

Google+ Is this listing Claimed or Not?
I'm working on a dentist website. I logged in using their gmail account. I then searched for the practice name with the city and state then found their listing. I clicked on the link that has the Google reviews and it brought me to their Google+ page.
If I click on Manage this page, it takes me to my client Google places dashboard page where I can edit some information.... even though I am having a hard time uploading images. Getting a "Cannot upload images at this time" Error
The weird thing is that if I hit the browser back button and then Manage this page again, it takes me to the page where I can claim the business.
I click on the blue link that says "If you own this place, claim it and edit it directly", I get a message that says "You may only access listings that you own. If you created this listing with a different Google Account, please log into that account and try again. If you've deleted this listing, you may create it again in Google Places
Any clues on what is going on? Please see images attached.

Name Address Phone NAP For Dentists
I've been working with dentists for a about 6 months but there is something that I feel I need to nail down.
When looking at directory listings and trying to standardize a dental practice NAP, many dentists have their company name in many different formats. Here is what I have seen so far.
Advanced Dental Care of Chicago
Advanced Dental Care of Chicago - Angela Davidson DDS
Advanced Dental Care of Chicago Drs Davidson, Richardson & Smith
Angela Davidson DDS
Davidson, Richardson & Smith - Advanced Dental Care of ChicagoWhat happens here is that with dentistry, the doctors name is as important as the practice name. Many people hear about a doctor and Google by the doctors name. Others Google the practice name.
It almost makes sense to put both the practice name and the doctors name in the Business name but as you can see, the practice name can get real long especially if they have 5 other doctors working there.
On top of that, some doctors don't stick around the practice that long so you end up with business listings containing old dental partners.
Trying to come to a consensus on the best way to list a dental practice.

RE: Dentist office website has foreign country backlinks. Scrap it or Move On
This sounds like a good hybrid approach. Dentist+zip does sound spammy to me and using the doctors name in the URL doesn't give us any keywords we can use. I'll try to come up witha decent URL that looks both professional and keyword rich.

Dentist office website has foreign country backlinks. Scrap it or Move On
Another SEO person who was working my potential dental customer website managed to hookup over 147 backlinks to various bogus weather sites, watch sites, chinese sites etc.
The dentist owns the URL which is "dentist" plus his zipcode. Is it worth continuing SEO on this site or should I scrap the URL? I am worried that Google may take action on this site sometime in the future and all the work I will do will be lost.
He does have another website, because SEO's keeps trying to sell dentists microsites... This site isn't too bad but he doesn't own the URL but the url is a combination of the two doctors names and isn't easy to remember... and we would have to spend time trying to gain control of the URL.

Thanks for the responses gang. This is certainly a learning process.

I've just started my backlinking research on dentists. What are these links?
When you go to the URL and the link isn't there, what does it mean? Looks like the link may have been around since 2011. Any clues? What is an old comment on the story or something?
From openexplorer

RE: Is it OK to use backlink software like Backlinkx?
Since I work with clients in the law and medical fields, I guess I have to be real careful. I guess it make sense to only comment in your niche but I could see that there could be some grey areas.
If I'm a dentist and comment on a forum about an event I'm helping to sponsor is that bad?
If I have a link on a little league website cause I sponsor them, is that bad... it's not my niche.
Now poker sites and websites with .ru and other country urls, yea I can see that and I have run into clients who have a ton of those backlinks. Think I'll go the route of niche websites first.

RE: Break-up content into individual pages or keep on one page
In this scenario, would I try to rank the abbreviated page? Guess I really shouldn't because it would compete with the individual pages?

Break-up content into individual pages or keep on one page
I am working on a dental website. Under menu item "services" lists everything he does like..
Athletic Sports Guards
An athletic sports guard is a resilient plastic appliance that is worn to protect the teeth and gum tissues by absorbing the forces generated by traumatic blows during sports or other activities.Digital X-Rays We use state of the art digital x-rays and digital cameras to help with an accurate diagnosis of any concerns.
Digital Imaging On initial visits, and recall visits, we take a series of digital photographs to aid us in diagnosis as well as to give you a close-up view of your mouth and any oral conditions.
Smile Makeovers
We offer a number of different options including bleaching, bonding, porcelain veeners, and in some cases, implants and/or orthodontic care is utilized in our smile makeover planning.Nitrous oxide for your Comfort
Would it be better to break these services up into individual pages? I was thinking I would because then I could add more pictures and expand on the topic and try to get an "A" grade on each page.
I'm not sure how I could rank a page if I have 35 services listed on the page. That would be an awfully big H1!
