Hi Vincent,
This is a common problem with new website and new links.
My website is 6 months old and I only have 4 domains pointing to my website (OSE) and 42 (Webmaster tools).
The next update is Today
Cornel
I might not know a lot about SEO but I've never heard about something like this?
Anyone?
Cornel
P.S. I think you just wanted that link in there
I'm sorry for his but I'll try to be honest.
It looks more like a price-list than an infographic.
Try to add more focus on the fun/info part, create a story about it.
I think the topic can be fun enough to be shared around if you put some time into it..

What do you mean by "next Google index is due"?

Hello,
http://www.textlinkbrokers.com/sell-links.html is in buying / selling links so that is a NO! NO! NO!
http://www.thinkbigsites.com/seo-seo-packages.html play the video (min 1:05) and they'll say "we own a big network of blogs and social bookmarking profiles" ... That's again a NO! NO! NO!
I suggest you read some blogs about the penguin and panda update ... just google it.
If you have $1800 to spend on SEO each month I think you can use them in better ways.

Hi,
301: Permanent Redirect, (Response to the crawler)
404: Not found (Response to the user)
Here is a nice Response codes article
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/response-codes-explained-with-pictures
In theory 404 is a safety net for your website when: you delete a page (you shouldn't :), a user types in a incorrect URL ... etc and you don't want the server to display the ugly 404 error message to the client. A lot of 404s to me it shows that the webmaster is not keeping a close eye to his links.
Although 301 redirecting a page that is not relevant anymore is not 100% accurate it's the best solution because:
you keep the links juice
your showcase page is the most relevant page on the website.
you don't lose any direct visits.

Hi Alice,
If you start with the simple purpose of the sitemaps that you've stated above, (website crawling) you don't need to create** "Product A by brand B in Location C"** and **"Product A by brand B in Location D" **because the product was already indexed by Google.
Will it look spammy? I don't know, it might.
The question is, who ranks better your category/search results pages or product pages?
Cornel
If you have your byline on top and your anchor text link will point to the same page, Google will count your byline and not your anchor text link which is not ideal.
Hi,
1. An Anchor text is better than a byline
2. If the 2 links are pointing to the same page, yes only one counts, the first one.
3. Duplicate byline will not help if they point to the same page.
Cornel
Hi Dimitry, Here is the list with the Rich Snippets available on Google. http://bit.ly/MzCxQz I think the search bar is not a Rich Snippet, but rather something that google adds when he thinks its relevant. Cornel
Hi Andrew,
Can you give me some more details?
1. How long before doing the SEO optimization was the website live.
2. What was you position on the SERP
3. CTR on that position?
4. Have you guest posted in any news websites?
5. Have you measured your position in the SERP with SEOmoz Tools?
Cornel
I've seen something similar especially when you appear in some kind of news websites.
Maybe Google wants to see if his new page is no something 'viral'.
Cornel
Hi Florent,
For me if Webmaster tools shows me 1600 impressions and I'm on the first page, that means 1600 people searched for the term, I consider that search volume, this doesn't apply to search results where I'm not on he first page.
A 2.5 position can be real even if you are no1 for 6 weeks. The reason being is personalized results, you can be no1 on your results and be no 3,4 on other people results.
Are you sure that 15.000 searches are 'exact match' searches?
Hi Florent,
To calculate your CTR you shouldn't compare Google estimates with you traffic.
Google Webmaster tools gives you an exact CTR number
Take a look at this http://i.imgur.com/wWZzr.png

I guess they will create a 'report link' and 'report domain' tool as well.
