I think Google is right to do this but for many businesses the cost to convert sites and possibly redesigns will mean it will take years for people to catch up. I just hope that Google don't start penalising sites straight away.

Domain Authority
Hi
Our website Domain Authority isn't as high and was wondering why it's not increasing. Compared to 1 or 2 competitors we're not scoring as high as them. Are rankings are good for all chosen keywords.
Just trying to get a better handle where our site is falling short on.

RE: Competitor Out Ranks My Site
Matt what an excellent response... I am going to look at the links you've provided as well.
Yes it definitely answered my question I am going to get Google +1 onto my page ASAP as that is an easy step.
I need to look at the copy to make sure users stay on the page, I am pretty sure the page is all white hat but may be in my early days I used board line methods which could be impacting it.
I have some good results for my clients and I can get them to do me a nice little testimonial on the good work I have done on possible Google places, Qype and some others which rank well.
Thanks again... (I am actually very excited today after reading this response)

RE: Has anyone else noticed Google rank changes about mid-June? A second round update to Penguin 2.0?
Yes it seems that sites which are keyword stuffed and purely optimised or not been updated in a year seem to have increased in the ranks where sites which where strong dropped big time... Think this updates gone a little wrong!!!

Thanks Chris
Seems there is an issue with the web host.

RE: The correct way to go from PHP site to HTML site?
I personally think you can keep the PHP. The only reason I can see changing to HTML site is if you don't have a CMS system running. I would 301 redirect the old pages to the new.

yep I have noticed this as well I reported a link directory full of spam and its seems to have gone up 3 positions. I am going to keep an eye on it.

RE: Content in Tabs
I thought Matt Cutts said that Google recognises that tabbed content could be hidden and its not a factor to be hit with any penalty as long as its not stuffed with rubbish. This is going off my memory and could be wrong ;o)
