Possibly as Google may ignore the canonical - however, if the money site is the one you are pointing to, it is worth doing. It does sound like a disconnect, as would expect both features to be on same site - assume a "buy now" - CTA and click onto a separate site has also been considered..

RE: Google My Business right had side block disapeared for a brand search
Hi Dan
The words or makeup of your brand name are relatively ubiquitous. Google may have served up GMB for a little while - to check on CTR etc. as it considered a brand then "little action" or "authority" and you are no longer served up. It is relatively common for new websites or businesses. Sometimes get lucky and stick.
Would suggest built up some domain authority and see if that is enough to get you back..

RE: Find 28 pages (status code 200) on MOZ Pro but 8 on Screaming Frog SEO Spider 11.3
What is the purpose of the crawls? There are different results for all tools, close to impossible to get uniformity.
If it is to work out of a page is indexed on google use site:example.com

RE: Is there a way to forward banklink benefits from one domain to another without a redirect?
Identifying a canonical URL for each range of comparable URLs can enhance the SEO of both sites. This is as the search engine knows which version is canonical, so it can consider the links pointing at all the different versions as links to the canonical version.
Setting a canonical is similar in concept to a 301 redirect, only without actually redirecting.
So the best outcome based on the above query is canonical. I note that google on occasions does choose to ignore canonicals. But it sounds like your starting point.

RE: Content Creation For Blog & Ranking Locally
Yes, you have on GMB the ability to post a weekly blog post. It often appears at the bottom of the local listing. So it is a form of local content publishing..
On organic, the post or content has to be qualitative in every way. You are dealing with YMYL pages - Your Money, Your Life pages. The links and suggestions made relate to delivering on the quality.
Hope that is helpful.

RE: Content Creation For Blog & Ranking Locally
Hi
Firstly great to post on your GMB page. So yes can get locally listed on GMB but if want authority - to link on organic that would be a lot harder - quality is key - see below.
On content - key element as in the medical field is to focus on quality, referencing and accuracy. google "medic update google" - August 2018 and you will see why suggesting.
Below is an overview of elements google looks for in content. Michael Cottam wrote this great post years ago, which still has very high value. https://moz.com/blog/panda-optimization-whiteboard-friday
Hope that helps.

RE: What should my site name be?
Hi
Plenty of opportunity, post an article weekly. Add in launch date, description, more photo's etc. Reviews set a target of say 50 and see how you go.. Appearing in your local search pack on maps should drive some good brand agnostic leads..
All the best.

RE: Cleaning up a Spammy Domain VS Starting Fresh with a New Domain
Ta Larry
Ok nothing much of substance, that said if ranking worth trying as it is an easier or usually faster route to page 1.
Had a look at the Murray Roofing site and has not been optimised for customer queries a roofing contractor would seek to rank for. As it seems you are keen to start afresh - can do both in parallel. No harm to either.
That said would suggest you also look at your google my business structure - your effectively a local play. Getting reviews and appearing in the local search pack for roofing contractors Omaha etc we would consider a client priority.
All the best go get them.

RE: What should my site name be?
As a local search play - recommend you review your google my business account and make sure that is optimised. Getting into the top 3 in your local search pack should improve opportunity.

RE: What should my site name be?
Ok, you can have both in your title tag, so as below works. Would be watchful on duplication of Physical Therapy, but if one page 1 for the term would not change. It appears that is where you are.. from a quick search from Melbourne Aust.
Physical Therapy Fort Myers | Back In Motion Sport & Spine Physical Therapy
Hope that helps.
In summary Google knows what you are up to and what you are targetting... as it stands.

RE: Cleaning up a Spammy Domain VS Starting Fresh with a New Domain
Hi
Is the current site ranking for any terms of value?
-
RE: What should my site name be?
Hi
Not able to give a definite answer on information provided.
Is the site www.PhysicalTherapyFortMyers.com currently ranking for terms you want to rank for? When you say rename your site are we talking changing a title tag or a new url? Clarify and will revert..
Speak soon.

RE: URL ranks in US pretty well except in target city area. Please advise.
Hi Davit
Reviewing this as intriguing.
Agree with all above, it is likely your site in circa July/August 2018 received a penalty or was re-evaluated (downgraded) by google. The decline last year over a month - July/August was about 25% for customer queries your site was ranking for - not perfectly aligned with the medic update, but it is close. The irony is applying the upgrades to the medic update, many detailed above - should place your site in a better position for long term growth.

RE: Looking for opinions on structuring meta title tags/page title/menu title/H1
Hi
Never going to disagree with Rand. The first analysis is the actual SERP you want to rank on. So audit the SERP. What are the Title tags that are ranking? What is the content that is working? So start there on your Title tag. That should make it an easy decision.
WordPress only auto populates if you want, can set as per your requirements.
Confused on menu title.. is that the navigation?

RE: URL ranks in US pretty well except in target city area. Please advise.
Hi, intriguing, can I inquire - do you know precise date or approximate date your client disappeared from the SERP in local search.
Is there a reason why no google map on the contact page? Also the address looks like a "non-business" address.. is it a genuine business at that address?
-
RE: Local SEO penalty?
very interesting thread. Is there an update?
Reviewed same and though the links stand out. Am inclined to believe as google amps up the power of GMB. It is more address proximity on map that is skewing the outcome. Lakeway is simply a little too far out of Austin.

RE: Looking for opinions on structuring meta title tags/page title/menu title/H1
Hi
I am an unclear but will frame from car insurance and hope it assists. As am not sure on which customer queries to target in your scenario - dangerous to make a suggestion without a better understanding of your business model and products highest ROI. The customer queries should be data driven, ie volume. If that is the goal. We use semrush. moz and keyword planner and a few tools.
Lets say chasing car insurance, this got a client to No 1. This is a general answer..
The url we recommend be
www.example.com/car-insurance/
The Title tag we would recommend be Car Insurance | Compare Car Insurance Quotes | Example
If not a comparison site - Car Insurance | Car Insurance Quotes | Example
Now for the H1.
It should be different from the URL and Title but contextual..
So lets say Car Insurance Quote or Car Insurance Australia
The meta description should on our view the targeted keyword once and be about clickability.. not sure if that gets you there, but hope it helps.
Go get em.

RE: Do Wordpress sites outrank SquareSpace?
The logic for both platforms is sound.
In our experience WordPress smashes Square space. WordPress is our SEO platform of choice. We also see Magento, just marginally sitting above Shopify for SEO. Shopify does not have https2 at its root etc.
Good luck, they are always tough decisions.

RE: Invalid Microdata - How much of an impact does invalid microdata have on SERPS
It appears the site has been impacted up by the medic update on 5 August 2018. Review data and check when the decline spiral started.
In answer to your query Schema has a massive impact on some sites, not sure where your site fits into the schema discussion - but properly executed in the correct circumstance schema is only beneficial. It would have to be a technical audit on why the wrong pricing.. as a .com.au with an Australian based platform.. should be coming up in AUD..

RE: Changing existing URL to boost SEO
Not 100% clear on your question. However, it sounds like the url does not reflect the article content. If this is the case, then on macro view a url hierarchy for the website should be constructed to suit the customer and website.
Back to an individual page - yes - we would recommend to our clients to change the url to suit the context and content of the page. So if current url is www.example.com/123456 and the page is about car insurance the url we would recommend be www.example.com/car-insurance/
Hope that is helpful.
