Should canonical be used site wide even if my site is solid no duplicate content is generated.
please explain your answer
Hi
sorry for responding late.
what was the affect on your results when u did block all those pages?
Thanks
Do not create exact copies of the site.
Google will not choose they will just "punish" your site and have it dropped.
If you must create a copy of the site, make it unique.
It is very important
short answer is yes as long as the content is available for crawl that will be duplicaed content.
please elaborate of he goal of this duplication so I can try to tackle this problem
yes my thought is blocking through robot.txt
just finsihed scan to a magento site.
off course I am getting thousand of pages that are dynamic.
search pages and other.
checking with site command on Google I see 154,000 results
which pages it is recommended to block?
some people are talking about blocking the search pages and some actually talking about allowing them?
any answer on this?
Thanks
two part question on original content
How would you go about checking if a site holds original content accept the long search quary within Google?
ans also if I find many sites carrying my content and I am the original source should I replace the content?
thanks
I have one form under https which is redirected from the regular http page. this site was not made by me and I am trying to understand if the way it was redirected using 302 redirect is a problem
Thanks
In order to fully answer that question some more data is needed to provide with an educated answer. I had the same thing and I decided to use the additional site as a nother source of traffic and lead source provider. You can still use the relevance for seo but I would not redirect the whole pages. Expect them to lose their importance if you refer all.
