How does Google view frequent changes to the copy of an ecommerce product page?
In and of itself, I would not expect changes to the copy to materially impact your rankings. Of course, if you're making changes that changes your on-page optimization and keyword usage, then that could impact your rankings.

Will disallowing in robots.txt noindex a page?
Hi I would also suggest to make sure to change internal links if possible and make them point to the page you want to see in the index

Is my blog simply duplicate content of my authors' profiles?
From the CMS point of view, it is mainly published by one person. I might ask a professional in the particular field to write an article about something related to my products and then post it as my brand, with an introduction about the author.

Will adding to a video's length affect my Rich Snippets?
Shouldn't be an issue - Just make sure you update the <video<span id="GRmark_2ce5acbd7b47b7ac2b2825e56148aff00b0d7c8d_::0" class="GRcorrect">:duration> field in your video sitemap to reflect the extended length.</video<span> Alternatively, can you just add a JavaScript link overlay as the call to action? You wouldn't need to increase the length of the video to do this.

Ranking at 8, 9, & 15... Is this self-cannibalisation?
Nice work! Move these up a little higher in the SERPs and you will be running your competitors out of town. On the non-product pages you can place obvious house ads that show you have a product page where a purchase and full details can be found. Or you can place "add to cart" buttons on the other two pages. To take full advantage of this each of your pages could be optimized for different variants of the keyword. I don't get it why some people think this is a problem. Cannibalization? Hell yes! You are ready to eat your competitor's lunch.

Is keyword stuffing relative to total copy length or an absolute rule?
Amazon appear to use a different url once the reviews link is clicked which perhaps detracts from the seo efforts of the product page?

301 doesn't redirect a page that ends in %20, and others being appended with ?q=
I know this is an old thread, but I actually spotted this issue while trying to fix it myself. I was able to fix it by using quotes and a literal space. So for example, instead of RewriteRule ^/products/product%20name$ http://www.site.com/products/new-url [R=301,L] use RewriteRule "^/products/product name$" http://www.site.com/products/new-url [R=301,L] Hope that helps.

When to 301 a No1 ranking site to the new domain?
I would determine a top/important page as one that is not only ranking well for your terms, but pages that may be receiving traffic from other sources. Check out Google Analytics and sort by top pages and filter by source and redirect the ones that are actually seeing inbound traffic.

Is duplicate content harmful? Example from on my site
One possible option would be to pull-in the duplicate content (shipping info) via an iframe on every page, so the content doesn't actually live on the page. That being said, you have a lot of unique content on each page, and I don't think the duplicated content on these pages would be a problem.

My worst performing pages all have this /products/ URL structure...?
Hi Milosz, thanks very much for your reply. I suspected the testimonial pages too. I have found a canonical meta field in my CMS, so I've added a canonical url in the header for all the testimonials for just one product to see how that works. Hopefully the canonical meta data will be somewhat equivalent you the robots suggestion. I could look at the robots file if recommended. For the testimonials to which I've added a canonical url (the product page), I have also taken those testimonials out of the sitemap. I now wonder if I should meta noindex them too? What I don't want to do is stop google visiting the testimonial pages until they have crawled the new canonical meta tag, and I don't know how a noindex would affect that.

Will giving a blogger an affiliate url to my site reduce her links' seo value to me?
Thanks rango I think you're right. It's a strange one, though, they have a new URL but I wonder if they treat it as duplicate content?
