That's exactly what I needed to know. I presumed I was missing something as there would be no point in doing it twice!

RE: Is there a report I can run to get a list of all pages indexed by Google for my website?
You don't need to redirect what only google has...you should redirect all links for use experience also.
If you need to know what google has indexed do site:yourdomain.com or register with webmaster tools submit your sitempa and after a few days look to see the list of what pages it counts as being indexed.
Or use scrapebox with the parameter site:yourdomain.com

Use this free sitemap generator to crawl your site and give you a xml/html/txt sitemap of all your links. That is the easiest solution.

Pro Campaign crawls - why no Referrer?
I have a few campaigns set up and on one I am trying to remove 301 redirects from old links by updating them by hand (I like to have clean code).
Although on a manual crawl you can see the referrer on a pro scheduled crawl there is the page title and the redirects to but no referrer. It's not the end of the world as I can run a manual one but its making more work for the crawler and wasting a bit of time.
Or have I missed something?

RE: How to find an internal link that is generating a duplicate
No problem. I don't know why you are not able to see the referring url from the campaign crawl errors...it would be nice to not have to run the manual one but at the moment that seems to be the easiest solution.
I'm working on a site at the moment that has me going around the bend with duplicate pages!

RE: New google algorythm?
There have been some changes specifically on 16th/17th if that coincides with your drop in rankings although google denies it so far.
It could also be that the people above you have improved or that it is just part of a dance where you move backwards and forwards.

RE: How to find an internal link that is generating a duplicate
Run a manual crawl using seomoz crawl tool and look at the referring url. The check the page source of that page for the duplicate url.

RE: New Google Update?
I had 2 of 10 sites have their main keywords drop between 3 and 9 pages. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to why those 2 sites. So far all serps seem frozen as the front page hasn't changed since 17th and to qualify I am referring to google.co.uk
Search on the web (using google
) you'll see quite a lot of people affected especially google.co.uk .de and india. Google as normal denied any update but it happened (16th/17th) -
RE: Duplicate page content - index.html
Seomoz crawler finds only links that are directed linked on your site. If your starting url was www.just-insulation.com then somewhere on your site you are linking back to the homepage with the url www.just-insulation.com/index.html
Fix that and it won't show up. While you can rel-canonical the page and htaccess redirect it I think it is cleaner to fix it at the source.

RE: Keyword rankings not updating
It appears that my rankings have updated now...a few days out of date.
I think the other tools in seomoz make it good value however I think this need fixing as now I have to use several places to monitor one campaign.

Keyword rankings not updating
I got an email yesterday saying my new rankings were available. I have checked the campaigns and it says it was last checked 12th Jan.
Is there a problem at the moment?

RE: Hit by Google updates; Some good advice needed
1. EMD's are fine....I do seo for several emd sites and they rank well. Although they don't rank as easily as 18 months ago.
2. Losing links is never good and remember your competitors will always be gaining on you so you should be active in link acquisition (or have an seo person do link acquisition for you)
3. This depends on if it's you url or whether it's your keyword (which happens to be your site name)
4. No
5. Sounds like a penalty. If you have a warning in webmaster tools it's a manual penalty but if you don't it's algorithmical and the most likely culprit is over optimisation of inbound anchor text (looking at your backlink profile it's far from natural looking). If it's due to an algorithm then you just need to balance what is imbalanced and with some time (the next refresh of that algorithm) you'll pop back up.
6. Could be. They don't need to be this way. Google know's that web design/ web designers/website design is interchangeable. Pick one that is most important for you and optimise the site and H1 for that.
7. No
I do white labelled seo for web developers if you wanted to chat. It's where the vast majority of my work comes from as I can be more technical and leave client relations to you. I'm also UK based.

RE: Contact form on home page.
There would be no need as if a 301 redirect is in place the html no longer exists.
Canonical would only be used if the two pages were live side by side but you wanted to show one as the master content page.

Client rebranding - Q on redirecting complete site
I have a client who doesn't like their company name as it's no longer in keeping with the way their market it moving. The site currently has some good rankings and we've been working on it for 6 months or so.
They have an aged domain that they have had on the backburner for sometime and have asked me if they can transfer the rankings from one to the other.
Could this be done by 301 redirects or webmaster tools without losing rankings or is it inevitable that rankings will drop?

RE: Are 404 Errors a bad thing?
My understanding is 404 linked on your site is bad as it gives google bots deadends when what you really want is for them to crawl as much content as possible. As far as 404 on pages in it's index, not a problem as this is to be expected in an ecommerce site that products no longer exist etc. If a product has moved and still exists just under a different name or title you should 301 redirect. Especially so if that page has inbound links (found using openexplorer) but also because it helps people not reach dead ends when searching for things. In summary: If its moved 301 it. If it doesn't exist any more remove links from within your site to it and let it die.

RE: Why does the Keyword Difficulty Tool shows no Search Volume?
It's an internet marketers tool but market samurai does a pretty good job.

RE: Why does the Keyword Difficulty Tool shows no Search Volume?
I've been thinking too. Would be nice to have an answer....I thought it was because I had not linked my google adwords account to seomoz so it couldn't accurately query it via that however I can't find anywhere to add it.

RE: Whoa I hit rank 1 for Cheap SEO Service and many others in less than 24 hours no backlinks no Onpage SEO nothing!
If the changes happened 16th/17th like you said I would wait to see if they are part of the latest google update which is looking like it's half way through.
openexplorer takes 1-3 months to show links but google responds within days so it could be that you have a really powerful link or two recently added.
Keep watching the serps but in the meantime make the most of the position.
Without you divulging anything else about what you did then it's a guessing games and all the guesses are "could be's"

RE: Whoa I hit rank 1 for Cheap SEO Service and many others in less than 24 hours no backlinks no Onpage SEO nothing!
I looked at your site in openexplorer and you have 6 inbound links with the term cheap seo services. So it's not true that you haven't links for this.
Also it's a myth that you need exact match keywords. Google knows that affordable and cheap are interchangeable.
