There's 1000s of Monopoly ones out there - I'm sure you could come up with tonnes of unique/(stupid) ideas!

Hi Joshua,
When were these links created? It can take a couple of crawls to be picked up, especially from smaller sites/pages.
Some links take up to 60 days to appear in OSE data.
Cheers
You say "Basically I see all the time the main navigation repeated in the footer, sometimes as almost something to just fill the footer up." - you have to remember that only the first link on the page to a specific URL is counted. So if a link is repeated in the footer, it's worthless (from a SEO point of view, it may be beneficial for user experience/navigation).
The days of linking key terms in the footer are numbered, don't think SEO, think user experience.
I would definitely include free shipping on all your items and promote this heavily on your homepage (along with the price).
Here's two articles (old data I know) I found from one of my favourite ecommerce blogs:
Bottom line is this is something you should really test and do significant research on, but I think most people would agree that you should go down this path.
Cheers
Hi Mark,
If the newsletters aren't adding to your site in any beneficial way (long term, after they have been sent), you could always choose to have them not indexed in Google.
However, having had a quick look at your newsletters and Share Point Community as a whole, these links won't affect your site. They are based around online marketing, tools etc. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You're only linking to trusted resources not dodgy sites.
Cheers
Hi,
Does your site sell 1 product or a lot of different products? Just trying to understand your site better in order to answer your questions.
If it's only 1 product, you could strongly consider adding the price to your homepage, but again that would be on a case-by-case basis.
If it sells a lot of products I'd ALWAYS make it very clear to the customer exactly how much the final cost will be. It's hard to tell exactly what would work better for your site, a set price plus shipping or a slightly higher set price with free shipping. This would be a great thing to test on your site!
Anyway, a little more info and I'm happy to help:)
Hi,
There's a few things you can do straight away. I'll assume you're trying to rank for' Windshield Repair' for your homepage and 'Windshield Repair Austin' and other keywords for each of the 'Service Area' pages.
Hope this helps!
Good advice from EGOL and Ryan. Once you have thought about your intended use, try a site like Text Broker.
I've found plenty of good writers on Text Broker. My advice - start with a few small projects and hire a number of writers. Then see who is the best and use those for the larger projects.
I would look at similar sites. Not sure where you are located, but here in Australia we have a great site called Taste (Taste.com.au).
There's got to be tonnes of great recipe sites like that - I'd just copy elements of what they are doing. Or at least use it as a starting point to do some significant research.
Hi Mark,
You should do a combination of:
Thanks,
Brad
Agree wholeheartedly with Sean here.
Link exchange?! Instead of writing emails to webmasters, write meaningful, useful content in this niche. Examples would include auto spare parts guides (how to install, what to look for etc), comparison guides between brands/products etc etc.
Diane, I would honestly spend the money hiring one of the many consultants posting on SEOmoz and around other prominent SEO circles.
When you are looking to hire, ask for past examples, full transparency in what they are doing and develop a list of goals.
I'm not sure what your budget is, but SEOmoz has a list of recommend companies. These would generally be on the upper end of the $ scale, but you may be able to afford that.
Also - learn the basics of SEO yourself. You'll get a better understanding of what you need to do for your site and if consultants/companies are ripping you off.
Hope this helps!
Unfortunately I'm not aware of any such services sorry
Hi Cesar,
Try Textbroker - we've picked up some really good writers on there.
I recommending starting with some small projects, hire a few writers and see who is the best. Then you can assign the best ones larger projects and continue with those.
Thanks
Hi,
If I am understanding this question correctly, you want to know if you get any SEO value from other sites linking to or embedding your videos?
The more people that link/embed is a good thing for you. If you have optimised your videos you can link back to your own site (even though the links are nofollowed). The more links/views/embeds the better.
For an example of this, see this video we uploaded a while ago: http://youtu.be/AGCabu8qjRc
We also embed this video on our site, and are more than happy for others to embed on their site as well.
Hope that helps,
Brad
Hi Dean,
The OSE index is only refreshed once every month or so - you can see the full schedule here: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule
Depending on a number of factors, it can take 1-2 index updates for new links to appear. So anywhere between 30-60 days on avg.
Thanks
From personal experience, if you share on Google Plus it gets indexed much much quicker.
I suggest starting a personal profile if you don't already have one and sharing on G+, plus other social media channels.
There's also this great video from SEOmoz - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/smarter-internal-linking-whiteboard-friday.
Hope this helps!
This. I asked the same question many moons ago and EGOL wrote a really good reply along the lines of "You indicating to Google that you're linking to untrustworthy sites. Why link to them at all then?"
Anyway, it changed my opinion of external links. I ALWAYS make them followed, there is really no point having them no followed.
