Very good for traffic if you can find excellent forums to link to in your industry. If you can add valuable content to the forum I would Highly recommend it. I believe it should be part of a well diversified SEO strategy.

I don't have any links yet so a link from twitter or facebook would be great I thought. For some reason though neither one are showing up as a link on Open Site explorer.
I do have some folks that are sharing a bunch of my tweets. I have to add landing pages to my tweets to track it better. Right now I am using a third party landing page and getting okay results even though they have a lot of there stuff on the page.
This is another novice question that I hope is easy to answer for someone out there.
How do you get a backlink from twitter or facebook?
Either Open Site Explorer is not recognizing my accounts or twitter and facebook are not reporting it for some reason. I have looked at other competitors and they have twitter and facebook that show up as linking to them. Do you have to do something special to get a link?

I came across a company one time that would sign you up and submit your username to all the social media sites. Seems like it was "knowit" or something like that. Anyway Does any one have an recommendations on companies to submit to sites instead of having to do each one individually.
Thanks,

Do you know any companies that do the quality links?
interesting ...thanks for feedback on that.
Yea...email me the details too! Thanks for the info Gareth! Hey Gareth....so you are saying that Domain Authority is more important that Page Authority....right? And you are saying Page Rank is worthless....eventhough I just had an SEO company say they would not work with me because my page rank is only a 1. ( 3 month old site)
There is a company I am going to take a look at later that says they do "relevent" link building in your industry. They are the #1 Ranked "link building" company on TopSeo.com. I have not worked with them yet though.
If it is a sports related site then there are tons of different terms you can bring to bear on the matter! Sounds fun.
Maybe name it "Toe in Water", "River " and "Niagra Falls"
or
Mild Sauce, Medium Sauce and Hot Sauce (with flames)
Boring seems a little too risky..for the little guys getting their foot in the water. I am not sure but SEOmoz has me hooked to sign up however they did it. lol I start my paid subscription tomorrow and even though I now I am not a "PRO" it makes me feel good that I am moving in the right direction. So you have to look at the pre-sale and the post-sale. After a person buys something you don't want them having buyers remorse and feel "Boring". Again just thoughts but maybe your campaign would attract a different audience with more cash.
I would like to know the answer to this as well. PR 4 sounds pretty good compared to what I just received over the last 30 days.
I gave question a thumbs up. Sounds scary. I am looking forward to an answer too. I will have to look up branded and non-branded but I also had 43 terms go down on me this past week.
Big companies hire computer savvy guys to run scripts and to take pricing from thousands of products from hundreds of competitors so they can undercut them or at least be competitive with them and use their strong brand name. This might be one of the reasons for this practice.
EGOL..Your technical response is way above me....could you restate in tyro terms.
Is the expired data hidden? Does the 301 redirect go to homepage or job search page or either? What value does it add? Keywords? I guess the pages would still be indexed in order for value to be created or does a 301 redirect just add all the value on the page it is redirected too? I will also go look up 301 redirects right now.

As I search for external relevant links to our site, which would be the most important if I had to choose?
**How would you rank the three levels as being most important to least important? **
#1 Page Authority, Rank and Trust
**#2 **Domain Authority, Rank and Trust.
**#3 **Sub-domain Rank and Trust
Thank you for your assistance!
I will start working on the site content immediately.
There seems to be a lot of directions to go so I was looking for recommendations on priorities for both content, SEO and getting relevant traffic to site.
Types of Content
**Distribution Channels for new content **
Any suggestions as to priorities would be a boon right now!
Thank you,

That is good info...thanks....but I was talking about companies like www.addthis.com and www.sharethis.com
Where they supply additional SEO possibly and also have all the social linked buttons attached that can be put on our landing pages.
Any recommendations for an SEO friendly social sharing button company? Or ones that provide a good service and also actually helps your brand name in SEO?
I think it is important for others to be able to share my pages with colleagues and others.
Thank you,
