I have learn the basics of seo and use seoMoz for more then a year. this help me to rank my online store better and increase sales. I only know the basics of seo and it is now time increase traffics to our online store, www.furnacefilterscanada.com How can I hired a good seo consultant? I'm self employes and the only one managing my online store. I want to be shure I invest in a good consultant. Our small business does not have thousand$$$$$ dollards to invest. If redirect 150 products to the home page, will I be penalize?

It does not look like I can have access to cPanel on this platform, BigCommerce and i moves my old domain to this plateforme, the only option I might have his to redirect everythings to home page.

Hi Dana,

Thank you for your precious help. I had many questions and you are always ready to help.

French is my native language, so I don't always get everything clear. For example, the Hub page was hard to figure out and I never really understand how I could creat one in BigCommerce.

Also, when talking about navigation and sorting, do you make reference to my Categories/Top menu ( navigation) and sorting ( DropDown menue)?

If you think you have any recommendation to give or positive advice on my online store, I will be happy to learn from you

I experiencing new site architecture for better buyer experience. I found this solution for setting up categories:

I ask this questions many times about my site architecture, I find this solution, using around 35 categories and sub-categories.

Is it O.K. or it can hurt SEO to have to many categories.

I will use the top horizontal menu for the most popular furnace filters sizes.

Also, I want to use this cascading dropdown option in the header

Our online stores is selling furnace filters.

We have 4 different qualities furnace filters and each of them are avaible in almost 50 different sizes.

My store is setup with almost 200 different products. ( 4 filtres X 50 sizes) None of them have variable.

I'm looking for a solution to help customers to find there furnace filter size fast and easy on our HOME page.

I find this cascading dropdown option

This was a lots of work to create 200 different products. The reason I did this is because when searching in search engine, vistors will use such keywords:

16x20x4 filter

20x25x2 furnace filter

a/c filter 10x20x1

replacement filter online 20x20x1

16x25x5 filter toronto

and so on...

Must keywords request in search engine will included the furnace filter size.

I need a clear solution.

We are investing in a new header design and I thought to use one big drop down menu with all the furnace filters sizes was the solution.

Buyer are having a hard time to find there furnace filters sizes on our online store.

If you visit the store: http://www.furnacefilterscanada.com

you will see categories on the left, I would like to improve this and make it easer faster for the buyer to find is filter size.

The part I need to improve is the categories:

5 inches

4 inches

2 inches

1 inches

Those categories represent 95% of our products sales.

Evry furnace filters sizes on our store is avaliable in 3 or 4 differents qualities.

So, when searching for a 20x20x1 furnace filters for example, you have 3 options.

SOLUTION: How about designing a large ''SEARCH BOX'' in the header where the shoppers type is furnace filter size...

Could it be a solution?

The dropdown menu will have about 175 options with 175 internal links to different products.

Can it hurt my SEO for aving more then 175 internal links on my header.

Hi,

From one year of transaction on my online store,

I have export my keywords that brought transaction in Google Analytics.

I would like to pickup 10 keywords to hire a writter for content writting, but I need help in selecting the best keywords.

I don't think I can attach .csv file to this question. I have copy and paste every keywords that has a transaction. If you see the same keyword 10 time, it brought 10 transaction.

New to seo, I hope anybody can bring good suggestions
