Hey Andrew,

It would impact local SEO only if your associations would appear in the form of links (and possibly mentions on social media). If you are receiving links then your rankings in those particular areas might start rising.

Regarding the pages for other regions, it would make sense only if you are able to create unique and quality content. If so, I'm a fan of this solution.

I'd recommend going with the last option.

Google will understand from the existing content what is your site about. You don't need to include the word "snowboard" in every URL. If you do so, it may hurt your site instead for trying to "fool" the search engines. On top of that, KWs in URLs are not a strong ranking signal anymore.

Also, the shorter link the better not only for Google but for the user experience as well.

Occurrence of a certain keyword in URL is not a strong ranking signal any more. So it wouldn't help much.

The long term solution is to set up a blog named after your brand (xyz.blogspot.com) and drive traffic from there to your website. However, mainly focus on the blog on your domain (xyz.com/blog) since the high quality content is one of the most crucial things for the rankings.

I'd definitely recommend **xyz.blogspot.com **so that people can visually connect the third party blog with your brand.

Regarding the backlinks from those sites, it won't have much SEO value (compared to driving traffic through those links). Backlinks should be from topic related websites which blogging sites are obviously not. Therefore, focus mainly on your blog which will help you gain links naturally.

Regarding the tech issues, if Google has any difficulties with crawling your site (duplicates included), it can't reach the content and links you have there. Therefore, it's crucial to solve the tech issues first to help Google crawl your site as smoothly as possible so it can see your content.

Also, anytime the page expires, redirect it with 301 to a similar one.

Since you are basically disabling the subdomains, there won't be any future data in GCS for them anymore.

I'd recommend to set up separate folders in GSC in the same way as it used to be for the subdomains. Then, you will be able to track each folder separately like before.

I'd recommend the version 1) with a little update.

To keep URLs short as possible, you don't need to add _/en-gb/ _since .com is already considered as English version.

Also, instead of /en-gb/ (but for other countries and languages)I'd put just /en/ or /es/ and so on.

Have you noticed similar fluctuation for your competitors on TOP 3 positions as well?

Google sometimes change the SERP randomly to provide diverse results for the users. But this doesn't look like the case.

Do you have any blog on your website? You have the article for "Nikon CLS" but if you have only one on your site, it might be not enough.

I'd start publishing regularly on your site which should massively help with the rankings.

In this case, it wouldn't make much sense, since the content could help you in the main website instead.

It seems you have a lot of content which would be very useful for longtail rankings. The more content on one site the better.

I'd stick with the original one.

In case of changing, you'd risk drop in rankings for 18 months which is quite long period of time.

On top of that, Google likes bigger pages so multiple topic shouldn't be a problem.

Uploading your presentation on Slideshare won't give you much SEO juice directly (links on your Slideshare profile are either in text format only or in JavaScript which Google give lesser value), however, could be beneficial for link building purposes.

In terms of driving traffic to your website, Slideshare is great way to bring relevant audience.

I'd keep uploading the presentation for the traffic rather then for SEO.

I'd test performance of both versions and then decide which one you will stick to.

Since you have been publishing the short posts so far, you can try to publish the long versions in the upcoming weeks. If you will have better results (divided by the amount of weeks you won't be publishing), then you can decide which version to chose.

However, I'd recommend the longer version of a blog post once in 14 days and in the meantime, you can provide some different kind of content such as video, podcast or email newsletter.

I'd definitely create a special page dedicated to white sandals (but only in case you don't have exactly the same sandals in a different color).

Then, boost the page with internal linking through relevant anchor texts, such as "white sandals", "white sandals for women/men", "women's white sandals" etc.

Then, write some kind of a viral blog post such as "How white sandals can change your life" including Australia related KW's.

As you've said, having only one source of traffic is a bit risky.

Once you have optimized your on-page elements, I'd recommend to build some high quality links to boost your SEO. Not only will it have impact on rankings but also on amount of traffic coming from the other sites.

Also, you can diversify the traffic by creating email campaigns, social pages and video content.

If you don't have the blog, it would be one of the first things to build in terms of SEO and long tail KW usage.
