But how do we use schema.org + Google Authorship ?

Sorry did not explain properly

In a robot.txt we can add a link to the sitemap and specify the language of each sitemap. Was just wondering if someones knows the syntaxe to use.

No news ?

Actually not as long as I know. But for the markup better to edit it straight into html (minor code is very good in Joomla Back office) so you're sure that your code remains clean.

If you have any good component doing so, please let me know !

I have an international website with different subfolders

• .com/es
• .com
• .com/fr
• etc

All of them have independant sitemap,  but i'd like to add in .com/robot.txt a sitemap with language.

Do you know how I can do this ?

I'm a total fan of sh404 it's giving amazing options to deal with 301, meta, url rewriting, canonical and alias

I've jsut realized that since almost for ever I use to code first my website using the non sef for internal linkings. It's very convenient as I'm sure that what ever will be the final url the link will always be good.

ex: website.com/component1/id=1

Before releasing the website I use extensions to make the url user friendly according the choosen strategy.

ex: website.com/component1/id=1  -> website.com/article1.html

But I just wondered if google consider both urls as the same ones or if it consider just as a 301 redirection.

What do you think is the best to do ?

Tks I'm actually kind of using the 1) but think the 2) will be smarter. Not so easy to decide ... I do think the 2) will be the best but in this case I'll have to always update the creation date.

I could not sleep yesterday because of a SEO nightmare ! So I came up with the following question:

"Is it better to release regular new articles or update the existing ones" I explain more.

Our company release regular pricelists (every month new pricelists available for a month, with the same brands. ex: January pricelist for brand A, etc.)

Right now those pricelists are ranking good on google.

So I wondered: Would it better to do:

• Make the pricelist articles stronger: Our company - Brand A pricelist (title) blog/offer/brand-A-pricelist.html (url) -> every month I update the text. So I just have one article /link to work on
• **Make more content on the pricelist: **Our company - Brand A pricelist - January 2014 (title) blog/offer/brand-A-pricelist-january.html (url) -> So google keeps indexing new fresh content
• **Work on a extra category: **Our company - Brand A pricelist - January 2014 (title) blog/offer/brand-A/pricelist-january.html (url) -> So I work on one link over the web blog/offer/brand-A where Google finds lots of new relevant contents

I know that Matt Cutts said it's good to udpate an old article but in this case it's a bit different. Has anyone experiment the same ?

I was thinking the same as we have 4 categories /products /services /about and /projects

It's a Joomla Website, but actually it's not making a big difference as we can always update te url.

Hard to get the pros and cons. I do think that relevant folder is better than sort url ..

I got a SEO fight today and though the best would be to involve more people into the fight !

Do you think it's better to get

A- company.com/services/service1.html

or

B- company/service1.html

I was for A as services is also googled to find the service1. I also think that it's better to help google to understand where the service is on the website

My friend was for B as URL has to stay as short as possible

What do you think ?

ps: I can create the URL I want using Joomla and Sh404. The websites has 4 different categoies: /about, /services/ products, /projects
