I have a client where google is ranking the homepage for a term that I want a specific landing page to rank for. The landing page is filled with great keyword focused content, gets a perfect score on the moz keyword target grader.  And the home page is not even about the keyword it is ranking for.

Any advice on how to get google to stop ranking the wrong page?

I have a client that uses a third party rental agency to book their cabins. The client has that 3rd party company's number on the site and I have been tasked with building citations.

I feel this will create a problem by using another company's number instead of a custom one just for this  business.

Thoughts on this matter?

I tried HootSuite and I like the core that is there. But I find the addon costs for everything to be a bit high. 15 dollars per user is a bit much. And 50 bucks for a report that is already generated for free on Facebook is kind of insane too.

Is there something similar to this but without the additional costs to add users. I have a bunch of page admins and do not want to be spending hundreds a month just to give them access.

I have a facebook page with about 32000 fans. On that page I have about 10 admins who post stuff on a regular basis.

We would like to find a tool where these admins can login and schedule posts, see one anothers posts, and get metric data. Is there a good platform for this?

I said the links from press releases were nofollow.

I have this business and am not sure if I should have a separate page for all of the different roofing subservices or if i should put them all on one page.

Even though they are separate, but related services, I feel they could end up competing against one another

If I merge them I will also have more related and keyword rich content on one page that I could focus my efforts on.

I am trying to rank for the phrase "a link between worlds walkthrough"

I am on page 1 but there are several results that just outranks me and I cannot see any reason that they would be doing so.

For that page I have 5 linking domains, varied anchor text that spans from things like "here" to a variety of related phrases. All of the links come from really good sites

My page has 1400 likes, 90 shares, and about 20 each in tweets and +'s

DA of 44 PA of 37

The 4 and 5 ranked sites both have WAY less social interactions, lower PA and DA, less links, etc

Yet they outrank me why?

One of my clients is using a scholarship to build links. We have a nofollow PR campaign getting ready to start and are doing some social marketing for the scholarship page on the site.

We are also trying to get backlinks from highschools and colleges that link to scholarship opportunities. So far this has been a slow process. Does anybody have any advice for speeding any of this up? Has somebody ever done a campaign like this before? Is there some kind of database with financial aid contact info for a lot of schools?

I contact a lot of schools and always tend to get put on the backburner.

I had a listing up for a couple of years now. I made a minor adjustment and it asked me to reverify. So I waited for the pin number to come in the mail and then reverified it. Ive had that message ever since

What does this message from google places mean?

I would lean towards no. Yes you can probably get by doing it lightly, but the benefit would be minimal and not worth the risk. It is considered an unnatural link building tactic.

I see so many  varied methods and a lot of them look to be done incorrectly yet they out rank me at times.

Would I set up 1 page for each city, with info on all of the services? Or 1 page for each city and service. So Columbus would have 2 pages, one for construction, one for mold

Can I get a site that is well optimized and has a good landing page for a business that serves multiple regions with multiple services.

For example they may have construction and mold removal services and serve Indianapolis, Columbus Ohio, Louisville Ky.

When I started working on this page he had multiple incorrect listings. I removed the incorrect ones and created this page. It has been confirmed via postcard and up for several months now.

I have the profile filled out to 100% completion.

Yet it does not show up very high in local map results. A ton of the business that do show up higher have profiles that are incomplete. Many of them show their address when they do not serve customers at their location. So it is a bit aggravating.

Any suggestions to make this profile rank higher? I have been creating more citations through whitespark and working on the actual site itself.

They have local pages for their major services and the other pages are just a general company overview.

Can't really target cincinnati or something on that sump pump page as they serve so many different cities and states. Would probably be adding a paragraph or so to the water damage page for each city for things like sump pump and other smaller services.

Can I get some feedback on this site's seo efforts? I would like to know what they are doing right and what can be improved, especially the ones under the Locations menu.

A Link Between Worlds Walkthrough  

It does this weird redirect tracking thing to my site. Would that count as a link back to me?

What kind of sites are you getting the links from? OSE generally runs a few months behind, but not that much.

I have a client whose Google Places listing is not showing correctly.

We have control of the page, and have the address verified by postcard. Yet when we view the listing it shows a totally different address that is miles away and on a totally different street.

We have relogged into manage the business listing and all of the info is correct. We dragged the marker and submitted it to them that they had things wrong and left a note with the right address.

Why would this happen and how can we fix it? Right now they rank highly but with a blatantly wrong address.
